I have been looking and watching and knitting, becoming discouraged until now! Thank you for such clear and concise explanations and visual instructions. This is most helpful tutorial I have come across, well done and thank you for your instructions. My confidence is back as I knit this stocking for my grandsons first Christmas 😊
I'm a beginner- level knitter, but I've watched this through and feel like I might be able to take it on! Thank you for such a calming, lovely tutorial! 😊
Hi aliearteffects, I promise it's really straight forward for a beginner knitter! and it's great fun! check back here if you get stuck and we'll help! Happy Knitting! love from Merion and the LoveCrafts team xxx
Beautiful. Please don't leave out steps to knitting...it's nice to learn and see how each lesson is completed. Your lesson is very articulate in your voice..lovely stocking. Thank you
Thank you very much for this pattern. I searched high and low for this pattern last year around Christmas time that allows me to knit this sock without knitting in the round but still get the same results as if the sock is knit in the round. Low and behold the very first pattern I looked at this year around Christmas was your pattern, cheering.... Very nice finished result.
Just finished my second christmas stocking in thinner yarn with christmas colors. I could knit tons of them. First the stocking looks strange and then turns into this perfect christmas stocking form.
Thank you so much for this very well presented tutorial. Your voice is so pleasant and calming to listen to and I listened and watched all the way through so though I am only a beginner I think I will try to knit one myself. I'll see if I can get that lovely paintbox Christmas project candy cane coloured wool and let you know how I get on. God bless you from Vera your new subscriber from Northern Ireland
That is such wonderful feedback Vera, thank you so very much for your kind words, it means a lot.I am sure your creation will be absolutely wonderful and special! Happy making, Merion and the LoveCrafts Team
Just finished knitting the stocking and ready to sew it up - it looks great - really pleased with it! Would it be OK to BLT the last 10 stitches instead of casting off. Looking forward to hearing from you.
You could start using another colour when you begin to knit the heelflap and for the toe, it totally depends how much of the solid colour you would like to show. You could start using the solid colour when you start working the decreases 🥰❤️
Hey there, yes that should work but it really depends on your personal gauge. We would recommend, comparing the yarns against your gauge, to see if it will have the correct size in the end❤️🥰
Thanks so much for the love. We have popped the link to the yarn in the description box for you :) but just in case: www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/l/yarns/yarns-by-brand/paintbox-yarns-yarn?filter-yarnWeight.en-GB=Super%20Chunky
You definitely could use other yarn weights for this! The gauge might be different and therefore the measurements, but there are ways to tweak that :) Let us know, if you ever need any help and Happy making! 🥰❤️

Beautiful video, ty :)
You are so welcome!🥰
are you able to advise on which rows to change colour if we would like to make the heel and toe solid colours? would love to give this a go!

Can you use Lions Brand Thick and Quick using the same size needles?
Hey there, yes that should work but it really depends on your personal gauge.
We would recommend, comparing the yarns against your gauge, to see if it will have the correct size in the end❤️🥰
I am a beginner as well and going to try it. 😊💕🇨🇦
Yay Beez! Come and join the fun!!!! xxx Happy knitting from Merion and the LoveCrafts team x
When you say 27 rows of stocking stitch… is that (a) 27 rows altogether or (b) 27 rows of knit and 27 rows of pearl (so 54 in all)?
Hey there, so sorry for the delay but it would mean 27 rows (alternating between knit and purl) altogether 🥰✨
@@lovecraftscom wonderful, thank you so much!
Excellent knitting. Where do you purchase your yarn?

I want to do in the round. How would I do the heel in the round?

Happy making 🥰❤️
Could you use this pattern for any weight of yarn? whether it's chunky or not?
You definitely could use other yarn weights for this! The gauge might be different and therefore the measurements, but there are ways to tweak that :) Let us know, if you ever need any help and Happy making! 🥰❤️
@@lovecraftscom ah thank you ! I’ve seen other patterns that use the circular needles, do you think that’s easier ?
