Lucas DIEP the angel platforms were just a coincidence with the really narrow island platform being converted into a mega wide side plat by filling in one tunnel.
I remember this night, and especially that tragic incident as I got to Clapham North just as they closed the station. Interesting series and interesting to watch how they deal with everything and everyone!
Why is it that the Documentries from the UK or Canada are way more interesting and well put together compared to the US or lets say Germany... its crazy. i love this series tho.
there might be a thin line between an awesome and an annoying documentary. In recent years, some German documentaries were outstanding, without external narrators switching terms and without the situations being pushed to make them sound more interesting etc. One of these outstanding documentaries was a 3 series lasting documentary on the Gelsenkirchen Fire Department. If you want to I can post a link, although it might be difficult to understand unless you understand German
Considering how disastrous 2016 was in both the UK and the USA, the optimism shown by everyone in this episode is a bit sad, since we all lost our goddamned minds in 2016...and 2016 struck early as that poor young lady took her life...it was truly a cursed year...
Having been a witness to a 'man under' (that's how we call it in NYC), death is not glamorous, painless or quick. In fact, I had to talk to the guy who was cut in half to keep him calm. But as soon as the EMT'S got to him and moved him to the ambulance, he was DOA by the time he arrived at the hospital.
nematube I’m seriously not arguing about her cuteness: just the contrarian observing that there is the phenomenon of girls looking 80% cuter in certain industries like aviation where I work or construction the head turners are typically ignored in general public but having said that no human should be overlooked. But human nature dictates otherwise too often. Cheers Bill
@Blu taser or gun.. 😂 nah I'm joking but some ppl don't look like big bois and still aren't that weak 🤷♂️ she passed some tests to be a policeman so.. 👍😀
A few episodes ago the control room looked as though it was designed and built when the tube opened. I was horrified looking at the ancient out of date equipment these hardworking dedicated people had to work with. This episode -- everything in there is brand spanking new, including the wall tube line interactive panorama and the flat-screen computer monitors. I wonder if being embarrassed by all the write-in and phone-in comments regarding all that ancient equipment in use prompted the powers that be to push through an immediate upgrade? If it did, that's a good thing. Instead of working in a control room that looked like it was straight out of the time that Jack the Ripper was roaming the streets, it now looks like the 21st century it is.
I guess you were watching another documentary called "The Tube" that has been filmed in 2002. The control room in that documentary did indeed look quite old fashioned, even for 2002.

London kann in den Ferien sehr beschäftigt sein, besonders an Silvester. Die Feierlichkeiten beinhalten viel Trinken, was wiederum zu einem Verlust an gutem Urteilsvermögen sowie unsicherem Verhalten führt.
Is there any tube stations that has straight platforms? Seems like all of them are curved making the gaps between the train and platform more pronounced.
Dessienewshoes pretty much!! Just keep your street smarts and trust your instincts. Of course bad things do unfortunately happen sometimes as with most of the world’s mega cities.
All I know is if you do something like holding the doors on a subway here in Toronto it's more than likely that train is gonna go off shift at the next available Junction especially if it's the Yonge line because the new trains are a lot more likely to break down when a door is held. I remember I was on a train on the Bloor line and this guy did that "holding the doors open to get on" and then the whole train was going at a super slow speed because if the doors were even open a fraction, the brakes activate on that car because that door has broken the circuit. So because of that person's actions, we all had to disembark at the next station. They tried to catch the person who did it but he took off running.
My cousin out in London, hate the tube, and he says the only good thing that came out of covid19, is he can work from home and no longer has to take the tube.
11:30 "while working tonight is not compulsory, staff who volunteer will get a £500 bonus." My company would be like, either come in for regular pay or find a new job bitch
Not sure when this was filmed, but the last time I was in London for New Year's Eve/New years day. The network around tHe firework event shut the system down, leading us to walking a number of miles before we could get transport. So much, at least about New Year's Eve not true!
29:00 That was also planned!🤔 Was the camera coincidentally there when she dropped her purse?!🙄 The jumper is real because there are CCTV footage before, during and after the incident! Do they have that for the purse dropper?!🤮
"Will all the intellegent ones and the good looking ones move to the end of the platform. Thank you." 😂😂😂😂
that was priceless :DD

Lubo the Bulgarian - A man with the passion of thousand men
*Lubo - short for Lubomir most probably :)
The Bulgarian guy was hilarious ‘ like poo from horse, not human’
Massive, big shit! LOL
It was still better than being back home for him! So..
I love how officer tony just goes and collects peoples alcohol, when they start sweating, he just makes like a serious joke out of it
He has a way of having a commanding presence without being a jerk about it. We can all take note.
The Bulgarian clean at 14:00 and 21:30 is amazing. He is a cousin of Borat.
lol,lol, i wondered why i knew his voice, !!!
Girl with the black hair 13:09 yes!
LIKE BIG SHIT !!!! lolol

I think he had a few before his shift started.
Sabrina is a real character - very likable
I love her

I love this series- well done all the Underground workers!
Poor Dan only got a handshake when the big man got a hug. Dan will have to live with that for the rest of his life....
2016 - What a quaint historic time, pre-pandemic.

Lots of warm hearted employees. Good stuff.
This video is an advertisement for platform edge doors.
It is also an advertisement for people not to get fucking drunk right before going into the underground
london underground has 270 stations.. who is supposed to pay for that?
