Great that Conor discusses the bilateral US/Poland agreement, which resets the stay "clock" upon exit. As he says, It is VERY important to leave to NON-Schengen and wait until the 90 days clears before re-entering any OTHER Schengen country, always keeping in mind the rolling period.
I'm heading Gdansk.I was almost cast on that movie Eurotrip, I had a scene to do pretending to be a fat man on a plane, then had to reverse roles with my friend at the time. The Pseudo name was 'The Ugly American'. I heard the Supersized me guy passed away.
The big minus unfortunately is the weather. It’s nice only in the summer. But the rest it’s cloudy, windy, and rainy. You will stay indoors for at least 6 months a year with no sun on sight. Very similar to Sweden. Sure, there are some people who may like this lifestyle. I personally not. Poland is an amazing country that has everything except a decent weather 😂 Also, dating for westerners in Polish big cities is not as they may imagine. Polish girls in the last 15-20 years they have become more and more “westernized.” It’s happening everywhere, not only in Poland and the trend is faster and faster because of social media. They are self aware of their good looking and they won’t date any foreigners unless: 1. They are really handsome physically (Alain Delon type) and they just can’t resist. 2. They have a lot of money and they are more towards a long term relationship and to stay in Poland. The rest it’s more a hit and miss. Not comparable to Ukraine, Romania or the Balkans. Polish people are generally hard working, very orderly but cold (except when they drink.) Similar culture to Scandinavia and the Baltic countries. Sure, some people tend to drink a lot as well in weekends but it’s mostly because of the bad weather. I think for a westerner it will be better to date in Ukraine, Romania, and generally Balkans. People there are generally more warm, they tend to show more emotions and the weather is much better. Of course, you will not have the conditions and quality as in Poland (except maybe Croatia) but in dating is no point to have a good infrastructure if you can’t date 😂 otherwise everyone will have moved decades ago in Scandinavia! Westerners (specially people from US) have a twisted image of Central/Eastern Europe. They think all countries are the same! They are not! You travel from Croatia to Poland for ex. and people behavior is very different despite that both countries are Slavic.
WOW, great topic I was just listing Poland as a possible place to move to because I can get a Polish passport by descent. FYI, I am from Minneapolis...you don't know cold...there January is our Fall.
Good video. It would be interesting to see you get into what tactics guys you've worked with have used to build a social circle. Wherever I've moved to, I've found the best way to quickly make local male friends is by joining sports/hobby groups that I like(tennis, kickboxing). I imagine this would work anywhere. When I spent a few months in Ukraine, I spoke at a local English club and got to know some guys through that and they introduced me to their friends. I still keep in touch with all these guys. Befriending tour guides has also worked for me. Going on tours that you're interested in and making friends with the tour guide works wonders. I did that on a Pablo Escobar private tour in Colombia. Would love to hear how other guys have made local male friends in far away places.
Yeah, sports and languages have also been good networking spots for me. Also hanging out in high value social locations is also great for meeting the corresponding level of people.

Warsaw is one of the worst cities to live in in Poland. Stupidly expensive, not beautiful at all. I live in the Tricity (Gdansk Sopot, Gdynia) beautiful beaches good infrastructure. Krakow also beautiful . Its like telling people to move only to New York or London when going to the US or the UK.
If Warsaw is expensive for you, it means you haven't traveled much around the world. Warsaw is a clean, modern, well-connected city. There are many companies here, so it's easy to find a good job.
Coming from the west of Europe, Warsaw is wonderful. Been here 6 years and never going back to Dublin. I do find that many Poles don't appreciate how good they have it here. Yes it's become a little more expensive but minimal compared to further west
Is it worth moving to Poland (or any other country for the same matter) mainly pursuing romantic relationship(s)? If there’s no long term plan then short answer in my opinion is not. Polish women take better care of their looks -a bit too much for me- than their counterparts in the west, are more affectionate, loyal and are family oriented. All very desirable qualities. Moving to Poland is definitely not worth the effort of let’s say learning the language if again there’s not, in this case a long term commitment with a partner.
Thank you for your content. It's really usefull. Your truly living the new Europe dream. I notice you travel a lot between all the east European countries. From the Baltics to Bulgaria, and I wonder what is your most used way of transport? Do you ever travel by car as well? I want to go to Kiev this summer to visit a friend. I was there a couple of times before the war. I am thinking of crossing the Polish border into Ukraine by car and head for Kiev. Without giving advice to me, would you do such a thing yourself, or do you believe is not as safe as traveling by bus or train?
I have lived in Warsaw, Poland for about 2 years now. All I will say about Warsaw is that the dating market in this city has become 100% efficient here. For the most part, most guys who pass through this city (visiting a couple weeks, or staying a month) will not get anything decent unless they are very good looking. Nowadays Poland, especially in the big Polish cities, isn't a place where a typical western guy can enjoy SMV arbitrage as they do in a place like Ukraine. Poland has become rich and the standard that Polish girls have on guys is basically on par with the west. At least here in Poland, you can still pull a girl who is at your level (SMV wise) who is decently presented and with a decent personality...if you make a genuine effort.
So rich they spent a lot on the military. Oh you are right, even sub 5s in Poland are upping their expectations trying to bag Chaddhams, Hoeflation. I knew one 5 there.
i need to travel to Poland and other central European countries one day because i hear so many mixed stories about them its hard because i have gotten super lucky in my own country so i don't want to move since i wont get this lucky again. but its in decline how far will the decline of my country go right now its still considered very rich but the crime keeps getting worse and they are taking away my rights. but i always seem to avoid trouble that affects most people and i would say the entire history of western Europe has been just a 1000 year wave of good luck. while polish history seems to be mostly bad luck you had times when everything seemed be to going well for Poland but they get invaded .like even in ww2 for some reason the Nazis just hated Poland more than the French and Dutch and then after the war the Russians forced them to become communist or after napoleon got defeated the Netherlands and all those small German kingdoms regained independence. but Poland didn't and so on. who is to say Poland wont get sabotaged again in a few decades from now this shouldn't really happen since Poland is doing well while western Europe is in decline that hasn't been seen in a long time. but how far will this decline go it could end in a few years or we could end up like a 3rd world country for 100+ years. right now the decline is too minor so i don't want to take such risks. if i was less lucky i would have considered. it while i have never been to Poland i have been to Croatia but it was a long time ago about a few years after that dumb euro trip movie came out i disliked that movie even when it was new. i really loved my time there but some of the infrastructure did look like the stereotypes but Croatia is in the Balkan so its a very different place. and this was a really long time ago when most of the problems in my country hadn't happened yet and all i cared about was video games and tv shows
What is Western Europe or Eastern Europe nowadays ? it is more sensible to talk about Central Europe which includes Germany Poland Czechoslovakia Austria Hungary
