I can remember when there were two lines between Grimsby Town and Cleethorpes. That's taking me back a while.
Travelled that route many times, usually on a direct train from Kings Cross
Saving a few bob on the cost of the new bridges I would guess, looking.
This must be quite an old video as the lights at Blundell Park haven't been changed yet. It still has the old ones in this one.
Yes it is about 4 years old.
Did there use to be another line diverging after Goxhill
Not sure without looking up on an old map. Try open rail maps.
Yes, it ran to Killingholme.
Lincolnshire level crossings & trains channel closed about 50 years ago.
@@MrMorganstreeter Could do with a train service in killingholme now there are no buses!

Very interesting rural journey, but how come it never stopped? I thought all trains from Barton to Cleethorpes stopped at most stations.
It was a special service.
