    I was lucky enough to get a small speaking part in "Iron Will" and to get a ride on #14. Twenty one years later I'm still getting royalty checks from Disney and more importantly I have lots of great memories.

    Iron Will was an excellent movie. I was fully aware of Number 14. The film crew did an excellent job of blending the locomotive into the scenes.

    I was fortunate enough to ride behind and in the cab of 14 back in the 90s. Great little Baldwin. CTRR Steve.

    I don't know whether to comment on the videos getting cheesier or getting higher quality. Guess I'll do both. Keep it comin LSRM!

    I say #14 looks better with a capped chimney. But then again, all steam locos look better with chimney caps.

    Alright, question. Why was No. 14 removed from service back in 1998?

      In the guide book published by the museum it states that the locomotive required expensive repairs and that a decision was made to focus resources on other projects. The locomotive remains on static display at the museum.

      @@tylertollefson2638 Okay, but was there a specific component that needed fixing, like the firebox or running gear, or does that guide book say just that?

    • @wwtf7180
      @wwtf7180 2 года назад

      @@GrandCanyonStudios844 the firebox is BO. I also noticed that the throat sheet is welded to the side sheet because of cracking around the rivets that join the two. The boiler is just plain wore out.

      @@wwtf7180 The locomotive basically needs a brand new boiler in order to run again. Got it.
