Orochi and Kensei can equip a feat that lets them use a Longbow to fire a single shot on cooldown.
And more complicated buttons compared to Right click to block attack left click to hit? You actually need to put your defense the right way to block, instead of just pressing right click but yes, pretty much

Honestly, For Honor had way more depth than I expected in terms of the different characters. Like the warden wins high light strikes because it's an auto counter, and she and the samurai assassin both get to follow up their light side attacks with guaranteed light side attack. And I really liked the samurai assassin's counter mechanic, although I was never able to pull off the hurricane sweep off of it.
This was fun to watch. Keep making videos with your personal signature: music style, epic anime comebacks, weird IRL emotes and dances... I enjoy watching any type of game - even league when I stopped playing ages ago- with this editing everything is awesome!

There was a game that meets your opening description from a few years ago, Blade Symphony. Can't remember if you ever tried it or not, but it was pretty fun.
I did play it for a little bit but idk, I never really got into it. It really helps that For Honor looks and feels more like a AAA game, so the gameplay is fun AND it looks cool rather than kinda awkward like in other games like this. At least to me.
Totally agree with you, I got blade symphony myself, but only played it a few times. Not really into arena combat games. For Honor reminds me of a more polished Chivalry.

Yeah, blade symphony is basically the for honor of the poor, and you need at least a friend to enjoy it, especially now that everyone's so good at the game

I'll say this: in the show itself, Rem is best girl for being cute as fuck. But... When you get right down to it, Subaru will probably have a more healthy relationship with Emilia as Emilia doesn't constantly place Subaru on a high and mighty pedestal like Rem since she was saved. Emilia just wonders why she was being saved and wants to get to know him for that reason. Emilia is the most healthy choice, but Emilia is not, however, best girl.

Are you limited to only one weapon in this? Because knights, samurai and viking all used a pretty big variety of different weapons. Also, fuck yes. An Assassins Creed game set in Japan! FUCK! With all the legends and lore surrounding Shinobi in real life from feudal Japan, I would think it would make for a perfect setting.
Maybe Templars from Portugal bring over their particular doctrine and style, and the player character, who is loyal more to the old Shinto beliefs can fight to get rid of that foreign influence? It practically writes itself Ubisoft, come on!
You know,I've always wanted an assassins creed game in Japan,but I've always been like "It wouldn't make sense for a european order of Knights to just be in Japan,but the thought of the foreigners being templars is actually a pretty awesome concept
PainfulJoy I think I heard somewhere that the Samurai can get a bow, allowing them to shoot an arrow on a cooldown. But yea, my biggest gripe of this game so far is that it supports the misinformation campaign that Samurai frequently used their Katanas in actual warfare. Yes, for single combat like this, the katana could be used, but Samurai just as often dueled with a bow, and their primary melee weapon was the spear.

Hey Trin, I really doubt you will see this but its worth a shot. There is a game called Blade Symphony. Its a crazy cool sword fighting game with IMO a large cap for learning which makes it a lot of fun. That being said its also simple. Now this community is pretty dead because there are so few players. Maybe check it out, I'm not a developer or anything I'm just a fan who wishes that a game with what looks like to have a lot of effort in it be dead.

In the middle of an intense elimination game, on the final round, it's just me (Warden) and the last one on their team. (Orochi) I dodge roll out of stamina to avoid an attack, (I'm FULL health btw)

the reason why everyone love using orochi because almost 80% player like to fight on open face, which is make them an easy target to character like orochi & kensei.
Also, it is easy to spot player with revenge mode bar full (they got orange aura glowing), and the best way to fight them is either going passive or just put lure them to go over aggressive while chipping their revenge meter little by little.
