To this day, I still actually have this literal plug in game. I can message you my photo of it. I got this plug in game from my 4 years old birthday back in 06.
I have the plug n play. My favorite game was patrick and the maze because it made me feel like I was in jellyfish feild.

I am almost positive I had that game. It was where burger pieces would fall from the sky and you had to catch them to build the burger requested. Is that a game you remember?

I did some digging and figured out that the edit to the wiki was made by user "funforautumn" on july 26, 2014. it's also worth pointing out that she changed "the fry cook games" into "the burger mess" and "the frycook games 2" into "the burger mess 2!" instead of just making a new entry. Also, on the same day, it seems like she tried to change the title of the episode "Just One Bite" into "The Burger Mess" before it was changed back, and going to spongebob.wikia.com/wiki/The_Burger_Mess just redirects to the episode page for Just One Bite. Maybe any of that can help?
she also seems to change a lot of titles of games/episodes into incorrect ones with typos (looking at her contribution history), so i'm assuming the burger mess was one of these?

its real ive played it on my old plug and play , but it was years ago ,its a platformer i forgot what plug n play exactly to give more in site so this is what i have now
i still have that and its already 2019 it still functions correctly the game graphics are super good and its realy fun to try to see if you can get to the last level

I remember I had that spongebob controller. I remember it from when I was about 4-6 and my sister loved spongebob and she got it at one point I’m not sure when but we had it.
Also a lot of the creepypasta stories you read are cliche and ironic.
I remember when i was a kid i had a friend that had that yellow spongebob plug and play where you use his nose as a joystick, it was when i was like 5 but it was something like you were in the krusty krab and you had to dodge barrels. Not sure if this is the burger mess, or if i am remembering it right. Take this with a grain of salt.

I used to have that one Spongebob Plug N' Play you showed that had those 16 bit, I think, games on it. My favorite of them was that one of them where you have to rescue Sandy from Plankton over the coarse of 40 levels. I also liked that Break Out clone. The one where you played at Patrick, who had to rescue the rest of the show's main cast from a labyrinth, was also quite fun, even though I have never managed to beat it because of that bleeping basketball challenge.

When you said "plug and play" and "the burger mess" this gave me an idea of looking through my old stuff from years ago and then I found an old plug and play SpongeBob controller with a blurred out name maybe it's what we are looking for I will find out in a few days if I can get this thing working and maybe it's the lost game or just an old controller

I remember that Nickelodeon made a game where u could play many different mini games on it. I do remember playing a SpongeBob game on it, but I can't recall if it's the game Burger Mess.
I remember a Sponge Bob game I had on the Leap Frog I had since I was 4 (I don't think I still have it) but I don't remember the name of it. I can try to describe it the best I can. It had Sponge Bob in his karate suit and you had to fight the enemies along the way to complete something but I forgot what since it's been so long. That game is basically from the episode, Karate Island. It was fun to play when I was younger!

My friend actually has the game in a closet, it was a small spongebob BOARD game where a bunch of burgers lie on the middle of the board and the first person to clean up the most of the burgers wins.
the burger mess was an old tv game back in the day, you could press the red button on your remote and collect burgers in a 2d perspective carrying them to the end, i remember it.

It would been a puzzle game where you would have to match burgers in order to stop the falling chum before the patties get dirty.
Sadly, I’m not sure if the sequel is real or not and that no information is in my hands but for now it’s cool that I have information!

I actually have the game "Spongebob Squarepants Saves The Day" for the Leapster Multmedia Learning System. It originally came out in 2003 and I still have the game and device in very good working condition.
I definetely remember playing the Spongebob game with RoboKrabs. I also remember playing Employee of the Month at a friends house.
I remember a Spongebob game for little kids that I had (and probably still have somewhere). It was super fun. You had to try to mix chemicals for a new ingredient for the Krabby Patty and to get the chemicals you'd have to complete a variety of games. Then you had to mix the chemicals and gave them to Patrick and if you got the right combination, you won and if you didn't Patrick would turn into something like a punk version of himself or he'd grow multiple limbs or change color. I remember one time I turned him into Squidward and I always wanted to recreate that but I couldn't remember how.

I have The burger mess game. It has a krabby patty base and has plankton as the joystick. My brother used to collect those and he found it at a garage sale like 5 yrs ago.
"Burger Mess" Sounds like one of the minigames in Fry Cook Games. The one where you shoot mustard and ketchup at patties flying through the air, kind of like a terrible version of Duck Hunt's "Clay Shooting" mode.

Yes, this game did exist and i played it a lot when i was a kid, i was 4 or 5 and the only thing i remember from it was Spongebob in this maze and you had to do challenges in order to find Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Gary, and Mr. Krabs

Unrelated, but when I was extremely small (about 2 years old) a spongebob dvd disc came with my Happy Meal and the only thing I remember about it was Patrick falling on his butt on the sand. That's when I noticed he had the purple splotches on his shorts so I ended up thinking that the fall gave him those splotches. I was a very imaginative toddler.
I definitely had this game and played it every day for a long time.

I own this plug in game. It once belonged to my sister, but she passed it on to me years ago. I know I haven't thrown it away, but it's lost somewhere in my house. But I don't recall any segment called burger mess.

I feel like i'm going crazy trying to remember this, but I remember a game from when I 5 or around that age that i used to play at my cousins house. I THINK it was a minigame game, but the thing is I only vividly remember two things from the game, a minigame where I think squidward is trying to climb a rock wall, and another one where you play as sandy and you're inside some lab or some shit and you're lassoing enemies around you, I looked up every spongebob game and found nothing about those two details, i'm starting to freak out, I could've sworn I actually remember playing that

I remember playing the burger mess game of SpongeBob before on the pc never really remember ever being on the T.V game before. The story I kind of remember is plankton was ordering little ants to get Krabby Patty and stuff SpongeBob had to stop them and get all the stolen Krabby Patty back. I remember a level I had to do in the jellyfish field I had to get all the Krabby Patty ingredients scattered around the field and avoiding something I forgot want it was but I definitely know I was 5 back then
