that fiddle is a killer and so are her voice and legs.... why oh why do so many young bands kill their performances by foregrounding the damn guitar in the first solo instead of the more assertive driving instruments like banjo and fiddle? As soon as a guitar takes one of those generic Tony Rice-a-Roni breaks the whole bottom of the tune falls out. I don't get it. But I love the sound of that fiddle and the tingle I get from the bluesy last line of her kickoff et a. I hope you guys know what a treasure you got there. I firmly subscribe to the philosophy that a bluegrass band ain't a bluegrass band without a fiddler and you guys got a real gem.
i agree with kevin christianson completely. there is a reason that monroes guitarists didnt take breaks. same for most of the first generation bands, and that reason is that its a more solid sound. ever see a bluegrass band without a guitar? nope-and you never will. its vital to the band sound, and it is missed when not there.

KEVIN CHRISTIANSON 😂thanks man
I agree about guitar leads in traditional Bluegrass, but they pulled it off just fine.
I disagree, I see that they executed it perfectly. I don’t see why it would break it down
If they only got 2nd place, then who the hell was 1st?
