That Wardogleader stream was my introduction to PP Burnell. I was playing something easy, probably Borderlands 2, and becoming frustrated and my teenage son said, "You sound like DSP. That's not a good thing." That sent my down the endless rabbit hole.
Sometimes I forget just how insanely entitled , spoiled, and greedy Phil really is, the king tut saga really puts that into perspective..
Its pretty crazy the number of legit fans he had early on, compared to now. In the very early days it was around 10k+ regular viewers on the vods, often more. Now its around just 500, give or take.
He literally gave up fame and fortune all because he can’t not be a lazy asshole.
Most of those fans are detractors now.

And he treated them even more disposable because he thought they would just keep replacing each other with donators.

Im not deep into the phil rabbit hole but every time i see a new detractor video im always impressed that the quality is miles ahead of Phils. They got custom animations and templates, funny photoshops, phil meme trading cards. Plus they can actually present clips and kahntent without stopping to yell at chat or beg for donos. Big ups
It's really crazy. He's such a contrarian that he had to be dragged kicking and screaming to start using direct capture.
I had similar thoughts when I first looked down this particular rabbit hole.
I've been following the snortex since Metokur's battlefront streams and the detractors are always miles ahead of him.
It’s the difference between enjoying what you do while having pride in your work and not caring about what you present to the world in the laziest way possible.
Can you find Alotta Peepul and interview them for that being said? Like seriously this mysterious person has been ruling DSP's life XD XD XD

So early on, did some of his fans assume that he was playing a character? No one thought the AVGN was like that in real life. Maybe they thought Phil was the same way.
They all think they won’t be the one getting attacked while they watch the show of Phil sperging out on detractors.
