We need to talk about Daniel (again)

Everyone's keen to write Daniel Ricciardo off after an abysmal start to the 2024 season, but is there reason beyond his race results for RB to keep him around?

I think Lawson is the real deal and will do well. But I don't think he'll get the seat until next year. It would take a lot more bad performances for Christian to cut Danny midseason. I know that's Red Bull's reputation, but there is a soft spot for Danny. He'll get a fair chance to improve. But to be sure, he's got to improve to keep a seat next year.

I think you nailed it Kiwi. I hate seeing Daniel in this situation though he may play around and have fun, when he is in the car or chatting to the team, he never carries on, complains, spits the dummy etc, he is very clear and concise. His two years at Renault were amazing. how they improved and alot of that was Danny. Racing bulls won't get that with Yuki and Liam. Im guessing they will use Dan for a few more races and get Liam to take over which will be great. Two young drivers just does not work. Look what happened to HAAS,

Danny needs to go to McLaren Indycar. You can rub wheels in that series without folding the car like in F1.

So true. They need to beef up F1 cars. One small collision or carbon on the track and it’s all over
