I swear this is just art at this point
Confirmo, se ha convertido en un artista.
How I wish I could wield this man's intelligence..
The possibilites, would've been endless.
God knew you would be too powerful if you had such power, brother.
it's not that hard brother, you just have to learn how to solder
I wish I had his soldering skills
@@GacMan47 I used to say that too, until I tried it myself. It's not as difficult as it seems. If you don't try it yourself, you'll never know. You can do it.💪
Unless you are low IQ (no offense if you are because it wouldn't be your fault) you can obtain it.
Damn maaaan, you are so cool 😊
By the way thanks for the O.C utility now i can achive 2000mhz+ on cpu and ram gpu is 1000mhz+ 👌
yes! Thanks for this video ❤
This is awesome! Thanks for the tutorial, I am versed in hot air soldering myself and may attempt this once I have enough time on my hands ;)
My 4gb modules are on the way. Can't wait to install them and see the performance :). Thanks for the vid. Maybe I would've liked it to be a bit slower though and not speed up.
It was hard to find a good compromise without too much speed up and not being 1 hour long and boring 😄
Switch games will not use more ram unless programed too
@@topherc100 Some games can use it, but most don't without additional patch
In the end... Linux and Android will thank you very much
u cant slow it down on utube setting?
Might have to try this
Wow u are a genius 🤖
Like others say, this is ART!, dude, you are amazing!
The switch "BRO" 😎
I watch a lot of tech repair channels, yours by far has the best microscope video quality😆
“Microphone” quality. (Edit: I misread microscope as microphone)
@@RevolutionFalls sounds like ai
@@McMasterProGenius exactly
@RevolutionFalls Wait, how would OP be wrong though? It makes sense on what they say it does indeed have very very clear microscopic video. Micro is small, it doesn't mean at an Atomic level
@@PixelatedWolf2077 I misread it as microphone
Awesome video, please hint what thermal pads you are using, especially thickness of them. Thanks one more time!
he nailed the sorthing in one try dam
Your content is very good, congratulations!
GN Modmat, nice
Dude nice! I'd imagine this is hard but on a scale of one to ten how hard was this? (Keep up the great work!)
can you try something simular on a new 3ds XL or new 2ds XL? not a massive ram upgrade but something around 1gb and not the stock 512mb
That'd be cool. Might help the 3DS not shit the bed whenever there's more than 2 Pokemon on screen
emulator is better
just for curiosity, is the voice a recording or text-to-speech? it sounds really clean... great tutorial, btw!
text to speech my english is not great 😅
@@nag3030 oooh, it's okay, I get it 😃
It seems that the guy s french(based on his Windows language), so his accent would make his speech...not so clean.
U should have just solder to the resistors next the mosfet for Soc point for the rp240
What is the camera/microscope that you used for this job?
Osti t'es un géni. Si seulement j'avais ces competences...
Brilliant
Do you know if any games work with 8gb ram yet?
why use ubuntu to format and add partitions when windows has diskpart and something else I forgot the name to
Whats the use of 8gb in a nintendo switch not a single game is optimized to propperly use it on switch
this would greatly improve android performance on switch
I didn’t even know that you could do this
Is that Gamer Nexus solder mat?
Can you mod the switch to use overclocking and frame rate unlockers and all these upgrades from the video without being banned by nintendo ?
Yes, some play with OC / 60FPS patches in online games. As long as they are not pirated, it should be fine
I fcking love this guy❤
Nice video
Is there any benefit in terms of Gaming Performance after making all these changes?
what pliers are you using to cut the cpu part?
Wow!
Waiting to see this machine in action. If worthy, I'll do the process to achieve those results. Thanks, man, you're awesome.
And... which modules did you use? Both, for ram and nand
What size of thermal pads for ram?👊🏻
How did you homebrew the oled? Isn’t it like patched?
😱
Hello, I bought a switch that had a dead emmc, I bought one but I think it comes without a system, could I remove the system from another OLED and inject it into the clean emmc? Don't you have a problem with serials or something like that?
You can restore with a donor nand backup, follow sthetix's guide
"Force the right jigabyte config"
The way you say it sounds so joofy lmao
text to speech
Next video test gaming different performance 😊and try new 3ds pro use new storege and ram overclock processor ❤ thanks for vidéo 😊
Can we see any games running on the system
Do you sell your upgrade services?
Can we partition the nand inside hekate for Android and ubuntu? Or we're have to do it under Linux?
Linux, Hekate only supports partitioning the SD card
Do you offer any mail in services for upgrading nand in an OLED switch already with a mod chip installed?
You can contact me on discord : naga95 (eu only)
@@nag3030 I just added you on discord.
@@nag3030 Do you have any suggestion for another installer in North America?
Hello! I apologize if my question is not completely understood, I am writing this comment with a translator.
I have a question, previously I saw that the modification of the Ram memory was carried out but the original Nintendo Switch system could not use it and from what I saw using atmosphere I present to you 8gb of ram and I don't know if the system takes advantage of it or not because I would be interested in making this modification but I want to be clear about everything before doing it
Thank you for taking the trouble to read my comment and I apologize if the comment is not completely understood. :c
Itoriginallly have a 4gb but it will take advantage the modchip makes shure of that. Since it’s just a noviciate tegra😅
puede testearlo en juegos?
y decirnos su rendimento?
I kinda wanna know what payoff this has
which microscope are you using?
Just curious, does more RAM mean that switch games will crash less? I know most devs have set the use limit to a certain amount but I believe if there’s a way to utilise the extra RAM, so many games will crash less (especially survival / open world).
I want to give this a try on my oled but need to get a new one for back up just incase I f it up
You need to be GENIUS to do all this! You're practically a Nintendo engineer, crazy!!😮
Awesome, did you try this with some other console? Wii U especially for the smaller internal memory of the withe model? xbox 360 PS3 PS4 especially because you can run a version of Linux or XBOX One
The ps3 and Xbox 360 would be wonderful to upgrade the ram, which would make the console so much better 😅
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for sharing this. It is fun taking a stock console and upgrading what you can.
This is so cool. Soo just assume I'm an idiot and don't understand anything. will this improve load times, graphics, or frame rates at all?
what tools do you use?
Perfect way to maximize the bad console.
Yo would u get banned from online for this??
I figure someone would fund a way to upgrade.
The amount of money i would pay someone to do this for me would make my bank account sob
I just bought an OLED super smash brothers edition off of Craigslist with a broken screen(still working) and a broken joystick on the left joycon for $100.00. I'm About to fix those parts but was going to wait until I get the money to do something like this as well, where can I find the mod chips you have done here? Excellent video btw, I will sub to your channel now! Thanks in advance!

Why adding more ram if the console and games arent using more than 4g??
for emulators and homebrew stuff
Vro this is so much work and talent for nothing 😭😭😭 I guess it’s for academic purposes or just novelty but still
this is amazing work
for me, i cannot understand the purpose unless someone has money to throw away. cost of switch plus chips plus having the work done has to be close to purchase price of a more powerful handheld with more ram and storage and bigger and better screen
or the steam deck which already comes with all factory settings 😂
actually yeah, i don't have any handhelds other than switches so I didn't have any real knowledge of what's available and prices. but i totally forgot about the steamdeck which is way less than building this in terms of just raw $
they're about $30 on aliexpress so if you already have a switch and a soldering setup its not that bad
@@caden3ds pretty sure he says the nand was 180, and he didn't even say how much the ram was......
but its useless in the orginal os Right ?
of course it is it wont be able to recognise yet alone use the ram
oh btw, use the latest lineageOS 21.0 official
yeah just get a stem deck never mind about this you can mod the stem deck without messing with the hardware or just get a version one Nintendo switch you can soft mod is it really worth it if you can't do it yourself I would mess up and I might as well just go ahead and buy me another switch
You are crane from dying light?
Please, what are the specifications and links to purchase the Emmc and Ram components?
And this is possible to upgrade the screen of a New 3DS XL? to have a better resolution?
Unfortunately not. The 3DS can only render up to 240p. In the future they might in the future there may be mods for IPS or OLED screens for a nicer picture, but putting in a higher resolution screen on the device won't increase the resolution at all.
use emulator
Just curious, would you be willing to do this on my launch switch? I'm willing to pay for labor just tell me the price.
Edit: Saw the end of the video, but would you be willing to do it to my switch because I live in the US
the guy only accepts in the EU, i think you need to ship it to him yourself
You can still contact me on discord if you have no other option, but shipping cost will be high
do it for me too
my toxic trait is thinking i could do this first try
wish i could pay sumone to do this...
I have a question sir.
- Can 8gb ram run on OFW in all games?
- If you upgrade the switch to 16gb will it perform better or the chipset itself is already on it's limit?
Tegra x1 support 8GB max, and not all games use the full 8GB available
@@nag3030 i see. Thanks sir.
@nag3030 Do you have any plans to upgrade the ram in an nvidia shield tv? Same tegra x1 as the switch but has 3gb.
people who say "buy a steam deck instead" or "buy a aya neo instead" remind me of todd howard
"you f**king sheep buy skyrim"
The AI voice.
So how the Eshop is it still laggy 🗿
because nintendo screwed it up. the eShop on my damn 3DS runs better
Is it possible to upgrade v1 Erista?
Are there changes to the battery? That is, does it wear out faster or does it last longer?
You mean when replacing the RAM and NAND ? Nothing that matter at stock clock but if overclocked yes high ram frequency will draw more
@@nag3030 ok I thought there would be a change 😅
hardware is not my thing I definitely wouldn't mess it up
Crazy, it's so complicated. Not for me for hacking Switch 😅
What´s the thing with an 8gb ram switch if the games dont support it?
Just Homebrew basically
Android and linux.
The kamikaze method is better, the Dat0 comes off or makes false contact with the vibrations, I am surprised that with your skill you have overlooked it.
Kamikaze methods is the most risky way to do it, like i said nothing better than a wire directly soldered under the eMMC but i forgot for this one 😅
@@nag3030 Your work is also truly impressive, greetings bro
Quero Switch OLED Pro melhor 60 FPS wow 🤯 🤯 comprar poder?
bro made an actual switch 2
Good lord this shit is complicated. I'll just get a legion go and call it a day lol
I mod with picofly, can i upgrade to pro??
You replaced eMMC and do not soldering dat0 - so strange... )
