Wife had a diesel one for 5 years. Faultless reliabilty lots of power for what it is. Handling good but firm on the bumps. Son got it now and he loves it too. I just never lets you down
I love this car. The splash is going to be my new secondhand car at the fall /winter this year. I'm planning to purchase the 1.2 comfort that will replace my 0.8 Daewoo Matiz. I make 200 km.'s per week for work and mostly on the motorway. So that is going to be a huge improvement. I can not wait until I have saved enough money :)
The interior is huge.Very well put together.Surprising handling too!Little boot , but with a big hidden compartment and a 5th narrow tyre underneath. The direction is quite sharp, making the Swift feel very bland and unsporty. The gearchange (1,2 lt)comes from Fiat,it is a bit tight ,becauce of the double synchro.Nevertheless ,it is much more durable and reliable that way (and quite expensive to construct). Suspension confort rates from good to very good.At 150km/h on the motorway, and it feels like it is still! Unbelievable (only wind noise is of concern at these speeds)!
I own the sister, Opel Agila 1.2, and I am very satisfied with this tiny car. It's relatively comfortable seats for the size and sharp in turns, it's cheap to run, it's cheap to service and maintenance, and much quicker than you would imagine if you dare to use high revs in an acceleration. It leaves the " much faster paper-tigers" from VW behind! :-) But it's NOT a Mercedes, and never meant to be... And it's NOT a Ferrarri, and never meant to be...
Good review for a car I am considering to buy in the new year. Absolutely no big deal that this car-or any other-will not break any speed records out of town. It's time more people drove cars like this than pointless high performance cars or huge people carriers/4x4 which people drive so aggressively! And when are these people going to actually get much above 50 on any motorway with road works and never ending accidents! I am all for good value for money, environmentally friendly and town friendly cars.
i mate of mine owns one of these in Germany and find it's a good car. I own a Subaru Impreza here in the States, where a car this small would be intimidated on the roads with all the bloody SUVs about. That said, when she said 51 mpgn I almost fell out of my desk chair. Lord-a-Mercy, I need that in my life. I'm lucky if I get 28 mpg from my Impreza around town, thought it is good on the highway (38 mpg), but no where near 51. I'm 6'3", so I'm a little concerned about being too tall.
Mines on the drive way, haven’t driven it yet, needs a new engine cause my sister overheated it 😒 but I’m glad it’s going to be my first car, plus it’s second hand, got it for free from my grandad, and it’s only got 13,000 miles on it 😊
I India its call Suzuki Ritz and its very famous car here. and ya i own it. It is good car in all aspects like comfort, handling, fuel efficiency, etc. Recommending all how what a car with a different look and style......... :)
I have a Suzuki Alto OMG the best little car on the road today. Petrol fantastic. No tax. 13 reg just so reliable and excellent. Boot space Noooo not upsetting fantastic fits loads in. Recommend it to anyone Who wants a small brill car.
I love the way she waggles the gear stick and says "the gear is positioned here which is within easy reach". Newsflash - car manufacturers have been putting the gear shift there for decades now... move along =;-)
I think its great on the autobahn too, just cruising at 170 km/h, is absoutely no problem for this car, i love it! Even if the fuel consumption rises up to 8-9 L/100km at those high speeds...
Yes, it looks very old school, just like my dad´s 1970´s toyotas...but those rubber boots resisted very well the abuse, I never remember seeing any of those ripped off or looking worn, which is more than I can say for nowadays "leather" boots, lol...
Well done. She has the right amount of enthusiasm. Mat is fun but he's a bit of a clown. That will fade with time. In the end, it's the reviews we're here for. The car...it looks great but has little use. I think there are better options.
I looked at the suzuki and the Vauxhall Agila. The suzuki was cheaper but the vauxhall won because of the lifetime warrenty and I didnt had to wait 6 months to get it. Which was funny as the vauxhall is made at the same plant and all i had to wait was 4 weeks
It's not really a fake. Their both subsidiaries of GM. It's like how a Chrysler Intrepid is slightly nicer than a Dodge Stratus. Except in this case the Vauxhall is the Stratus. Everybody says that the Agila is worse. So if it is a fake, it is way better than the original.
I have the 1.2 vauxhall version.. The shifter and engine are good but they are suzuki.. The rest of the car is disappointing.. Wallows round corners dodgy electrics and although mine is only 2010 it makes one too many worrying noises .. I'll be getting the Suzuki swift next as it takes what's good about this car and puts it into a much better chassis
I don't understand why does suzuki build this car. For starter, it's only a little smaller than the swift. If the swift is a sub-compact car then which category does the splash falls into? City car? Side profile looks like toyota IQ.
Lol, notable how differences between men and women appear here. In all of Matt´s reviews, I have never seen him mention anything about "your child sitting in the middle seat" as she does, everything in Matt´s mind is pure fun, lol
@@RossNixon The right tyre pression is 32-30 (1.lt petrol) & 33-30 (1.2lt petrol). More than that is good for the fuel consumption but hard on one's back ! With a thinner machine-oil, even the 1.0 is quite revvy. We have the 1.2lt, 90+ horse power petrol version, 2013 model. For better torque I use 10-40W oil. It less revvy this way but more torquey. Believe me, with 5-30W oil it feells like turbo-charged.
This is one of the few womens that I could sit all day long watching her speak, I love her voice, even if I don't pay attention to what she's saying... I just see a pretty face and a perfect voice saying bla bla bla bla.
you know, suzuki splash automatic will coming soon in Indonesia, i think you should know my video too, she's give me more information and details about suzuki splash AT GL
"you can really hear it moaning with every revolution..."...damn, everything sounds like a damn innuendo if I don´t keep my mind straight while looking at her reviews, lol...

I've got One..had it since 2015..it was an elderly ladies shopping car..took 6 months of nurturing to achieve it's potential..it's done 44800 miles it's on my drive..(am running an SX4)..in Dyfed..Sell you my splash..!!.
here and hea nd hea and hea Is dead right.Who cares about storage spaces dotted all over the place? The only space i ever use is one of the three next to my handbrake for a can of redbull.Never used the 1litre spaces in the door, the cubby(glovebox) has a torch. The drawer under the front passenger seat is empty. The compartment next to my right knee has some small change for toll fare.As a matter of fact i cant find much use for most of the storage stuff.I rather hear more about how a car drives.

It's cars like this that make me miss having Suzuki in the united states.
I'm fan of Mat but I must admit you are doing a great job!
Small boot space with the rear seats up , only concern other than that great car for around town.
I love the way she waggles the gear stick and says "the gear is positioned here which is within easy reach". Newsflash - car manufacturers have been putting the gear shift there for decades now... move along =;-)
The ring is on the right hand not left. She was adjusting the window, not the console.
Guys will be guys 😁😁
I can't be doing with Rebecca. I just about get through her reviews without falling asleep. There should be a poll.
Same, makes the car boring.
I think this is the best reasonable compact car. Great.
Nice!
Btw Rebecca, can you please ask cameraman to zoom-out a bit, when you are saying "here.. here.. here and here!" :)
Very Informative video.
If you go for the SZ4 you get key (remote) start as well.
I think its great on the autobahn too, just cruising at 170 km/h, is absoutely no problem for this car, i love it! Even if the fuel consumption rises up to 8-9 L/100km at those high speeds...

It might be slightly bad (slow, noisy, etc) but I have to give it to the car, it looks really good.
Its fast and silent
I drive one and it´s a good car
I quite like this, but for some reason I'm drawn to the identical Opel Agila.

Even an original minicooper will have loads of space in the back if you are as tall as an eight year old.
Guys, please review the new Honda CRV 2012... Thanks
Great little cars for everyday to and fro. Not a BMW, but not priced like on either. Could Rebecca be any cuter ?
Bigger boobs mybe

ps.
Seats are a bit hard, its surely not a French car! Unexpectedly quick (1.2 petrol) in high revs too!
Ah, same here. I wondered if the hard seats were standard.
@@RossNixon Yeah, but all in all a very sturdy, reliable, goodhandling car, capable both in cities and big roads.
@@nikosz66 My wife hates the seats. Also, could do with a turbo, for hilly roads.

Where is Matt?
Very gorgeous and enthusiastic presenter... she doesn't have a wedding ring, as one commenter hinted, it's on her right hand ;).

Pretty scathing about the motorway performance, and you will be right.
Give Rebecca any car to review. She can convince you its roomy enough for 5 small children :P
And never let's in she isn't quite five foot
why don't they do a review of the alto/pixo, the car that any young person would look at as a new first car
@djears17 of course they are both the same car with different facia.
she is so small that she always has plenty of knee and head room!!, please come back matt
Hmm so it's an amazing great handling car with good economy and ergonomics, but unfortunately it's shart?

this car was named as ritz in India which became a massive hit
All these new small cars seem to suffer from the same unpleasant highway noise and ride and lack of power.
Bro 2024 in india this car is suzuki Ritz splash is Japan version of ritz
doing great rebecca! ;)
Matttt????
She's wearing a ring, Damn!
Do you really want a Nissan Pixo for your first car?
didn't Volkswagen buy Suzuki or smth? or did i dream that one?
