There is a learning curve. I have used it around 8 times and now would give it a 7/10. A couple of things: 1) The edges of the two spouts are sharp and can cut you. 2) the temperature of the milk is important with regards to the thickness of the cream that initially comes out - you really have to play with the set screw 3) you can’t adjust the cream mix once you start the separation process. It takes a constant temperature and slight adjustment of the set screw. 4) at the end, replace the containers and run through about 8-12 cups hot (150^) water. Clean up is easier

I just learned a couple of other things. The wafer must be dry. You have to gently push up around the edge (I used a jelly spreader) until it opens. Wash and dry it. You will need to do it every time you use the machine. Also the engine shaft and the small funnel with the yellow gasket stuck together. I must not have cleaned them properly. It was messy. Good luck!

Thank you is not enough. The directions in the product pamphlet are quite lacking and unclear. You made something so overwhelming beyond simple. Again thank you.
I do appreciate you doing this video because it definitely taught me how to work my cream and milk separator. But I have a problem with milk getting down into the base of the unit it leaks down and in the bottom and I have to take it apart and it’s already started to rust inside. And I’ve only used it three times. Also what do you do about the little desk that’s like a pillow and has three bumps on one side and when you put it into the machine the bumps go downward? It gets filled with milk and there’s no way to get it out what am I doing wrong?
Yes. The bumps go downward. That creates a space for the milk to enter slowly. You should be able to just take it out with no problem. As far as the leak, you might want to reach out to the company and let them know. They might have a better answer for you..
Wish I had seen a good video of it after getting mine out. The only ones I found at the time were in Russian. I have washed all my disc parts in the dishwasher before using it. Have I ruined it? They are funky looking.
The buoy has taken on liquid after use and hand washing. Any idea how to take it apart? I can hear the water rattling around, and it leaks out when I shake it... I don't want it to contaminate the milk.
Thanks for this. After watching the video I was pretty sure we got it right but after starting to separate the goat milk it started to leak out the back from the skim milk spot where the extender sits on top. It really seems like it needs a seal. We lost a lot of milk -- any thoughts?
We had this problem also. My son saw that he didn’t have the spouts positioned like the one shown in the video. When he fixed them, the leaking stopped… just an idea in case you haven’t tried that
I am trying to figure mine out as well, I have the same issue. I have to put everything on while the filter is spinning, when it starts, the motor makes it jiggle, it hits the spout rings, and it bounces back and forth like pinball, making the bad noises and not letting the machine start up all the way. About the send my first batch of milk through, water will only come out of the milk side, no matter what I do, so we will see 🤷🏼♀️
That is correct. Originally I thought that the screw would adjust the amount of fat left in the milk. That's not the case. The milk will always come out as 0% fat skim milk. The screw adjusts how much milk is in the cream

Turn the entire bolt, including both nuts, clockwise to pull the top towards the direction of the bolt and anticlockwise to push it away. You have to keep placing the pieces up to the cream spout back on to check for the correst alignment. I hope this helps

Hi Eric great video as usual. I have made some parmesan just recently with store bought 2% fat whole milk. Parmesan is traditionally made with skim milk and whole milk that has a combined fat content of 2%. So my question is what is the fat content of the skim milk you are producing with this device and how do you check fat content?
Hey Joe. When I start off my raw milk has a 4% fat content. This separator removes the butter fat and leaves me with 0% fat skim milk. I take it to a local dairy farm that produces cheese to have it tested. Now I can take my skim milk 0% fat and mix it with my whole raw milk 4% fat to get some awesome parm cheese 😁

I use it for goats milk which is naturally homogenized- although it will naturally seperate over time. So it's possible it might work for store bought...
Hi i got the same machine and tested it out today, followed everything.. but it didnt separate the milk and cream, only milk came out and some very thin milk thats supposed to come out from the cream spout... do you think its because i only used about 500ml full cream UHT milk? Should i use more milk but was concerned about wasting them.. i tried doing it 3x and experimented the screw tightness, but still the same result.. what do you think i did wrong? Thank you..
Wow, I can't believe nobody replied to you... You can't separated milk that has been homogenized. This is for either fresh raw milk or pasteurized non-homogenized milk. Hope this helps.
Just a few things I learned the hard way I want to add in case someone stumbles upon this: 1) make sure you pour the milk immediately after the hot water goes through, the device cools faster than you think and if it does the fat will harden and cause blockage (and farting milk) u really don’t want that. 2) if the device is making weird scratching noises it’s probably because one of the components isn’t put in place properly causing the stick under float bowl to scratch the inside of the disks while they spin (very bad). Make sure to be mindful of noise when u use it; it should be as quiet as possible and not very shaky. 3) it helps to mark the closed setting with tape on the edge of the milk bowl so the open/close setting is a no-brainer. Once I accidentally poured water over the machine while it was on and not spinning (oops) because I thought it was closed. It still works but caused me massive amount of stress. Good luck using!
5) and make sure you don’t get creative and separate cream from the cream after the cream has been separated. It will cause all the cream to go into the milk. I tried to save some milk after I set the cream setting to too thin… ya just don’t be like me
Hello! Using this to separate breast milk for a baby in need of skimmed breast milk! I was just wondering if I am still to let the water run through first? Am I able to add less than the amount you put in will it still work the same?Thank you for this video!
I am having a hard time figuring out how to connect the ac adapter to the plug--doesn't make sense....any clues would be helpful........the end of the cord they sent has electrical tape and little prong.....so weird......
Hello Liz. If yours looks lime mine there are 2 chords. One connected to the motor and the other that connects to the wall. The unit that connects to the motor should have a plug that looks like a stereo or microphone plug on the end. Plug that end into the corresponding hole on the wall adaptor. Then plug the wall adaptor into the wall. If yours doesn't look like that then you might want to reach out to Minneer. Their customer service is excellent..
It is hard to say but we can narrow it down. Jersey milk is typically very close to 5% fat. One (US) gallon is 3.78 liters and weighs about 3.91 kg. The fat will be about 5% of that or 0.195 kg. We'll assume a full separation and if we go with a 40% heavy cream then you can expect 0.195 kg to be 40% of 0.487 kg total cream or about 0.49 liters. converting back into imperial units (for those who desire it) that's about 0.13 (US) gallons or 0.5 quart or 1 pint.
We just bought one for our lab and it does the same thing. I originally thought that adjusting the three bolts under the unit would fix this but that just changed the balance, so I had to readjust them back. Any insight would be a big help.
I would check and make sure all the disks are in their correct place, then check the gasket and its runs for damage. Make sure the spouts are correct along with the funnels.
I know this video is a year old but hopefully you're still watching comments. If so, do you know how the screw controls the thickness of the cream, or can you point me in the right direction to find out?
the screw regulates how much milk goes through the centriguge at a time. When more milk passes through the thinner the cream will be, when less milk passes through the thicker it will be
This is a lifesaver! I bought the Vevor and had no idea. You are going straight to heaven for this!

I use it for goats milk which is naturally homogenized- although it will naturally seperate over time. So it's possible it might work for store bought...
It works fine on homogenized products. I use it for my goats' milk, which is naturally homogenized, and it works fine.
Does the thicker cream have more fat content that the thinner cream?
yes
Oh and 4) make sure you do not skip any washing steps, or the milk will go bad
5) and make sure you don’t get creative and separate cream from the cream after the cream has been separated. It will cause all the cream to go into the milk. I tried to save some milk after I set the cream setting to too thin… ya just don’t be like me
Dang I honestly made a lot of mistakes
Hello! Using this to separate breast milk for a baby in need of skimmed breast milk! I was just wondering if I am still to let the water run through first? Am I able to add less than the amount you put in will it still work the same?Thank you for this video!
Yes. The hot water gets the inside components to the right temperature. You can add less than I did and it will still work..
@@2guysandacooler Thank you !!
There are now only 9 States that don't allow milk purchase from the farm gate. So there are many that do.
I haven't used the separator more than 4 times and now when I plug it in, it has power, but nothing happens. Please help.
You might want to reach out to the manufacturer. The moment you turn it on it should start spinning
How much butter do you get from a gallon of milk?
depends on the milk and the fat content. Usually less than 1/2 pound
From 2 gallons goat milk I get between 12-16 ounces butter, 1 cup buttermilk, and maybe 1-3/4 gallons skimmed milk.
What yield of cream should I expect from one gallon of milk from a jersey cow?
Hard to say. Anywhere between 1 pint and 1 quart. Some produce more some less. Also depends on the season..
@@2guysandacooler thank you, I really appreciate your experience.
Are the metal parts aluminum or stainless steel?
Stainless steel.
Stainless steel.
I need this machine ans what's price of this machine and how to send in pakistan city Faisalabad.
Minneer Milk/Cream Separator made by?
the milk is leaking into the base. I've assembled it as described and double checked everything, but it still is leaking. please help. TIA.
I need one. Need guidance. And price. 20lit a day.
It is available on Amazon. The Vevor is almost Identical and manufacturer rated at 50 litres/hour.
Good night Eric from the Dominican Republic I greet you. when you say milk / cream separator it means heavy cream. please is like that.
yes
Very nice video but price please say
You can check it out here: amzn.to/3yKxQyB (the price changes slightly from time to time)
I know this video is a year old but hopefully you're still watching comments. If so, do you know how the screw controls the thickness of the cream, or can you point me in the right direction to find out?
the screw regulates how much milk goes through the centriguge at a time. When more milk passes through the thinner the cream will be, when less milk passes through the thicker it will be
