Fantastic video. Thank you. I have three pairs of these speakers and always wondered how to take off the front covers (for possible respraying). Thank you again.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video helpful. It's great to hear you have three pairs of these amazing speakers - respraying the covers sounds like a fantastic way to personalize them. @@KoseTrading I've just been watching your Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge Disassembly process video at: ruclips.net/video/EOz5rxCbK5I/видео.html&ab_channel=KoseTrading I have one of the Emerge panels to repair (it's the wooden version) as the back of the one panel is fraying a little. It's my intention to apply a little wood filler to it before rubbing it down gently with sandpaper. I thought it best to remove the side panel first, but looking at the horrid time you had removing it, I thought I'd just leave it fitted to the Emerge LOL But around 11:00 I can see that it's a relatively easy job so will tackle that in a day or two's time. Thank you again for ALL your excellent videos. They are a life saver and one can save money by doing it oneself.
@@scj00380 Thank you for your kind words and support! I'm glad you find the videos helpful-they're meant to empower DIY enthusiasts like you. Regarding the repair, applying wood filler and gently sanding is a great approach for the fraying back panel. If you're concerned about removing the side panel, just take your time and use the right tools. Based on your observations, it seems manageable, so tackling it in a day or two sounds like a solid plan. Remember, patience is key to avoid any unnecessary damage. Good luck with the repair, and feel free to share how it turns out! It's always rewarding to save money and give new life to something yourself.
Thank you for your comment! While this video highlights the Beolab 12-2, it’s great to hear your interest in the Beolab 5 teardown. If you'd like, I can provide more information about it or even create a dedicated video on the topic. Let me know what you'd be most excited to see!
Thank you for your comment! This video focuses on the Beolab 12-2, but it sounds like you’re interested in the Beolab 9 teardown as well. If you’d like, I can share more details about that or even consider making a dedicated video. Let me know what you’d like to see.
@@81Nightro Thank you for your comment! I completely agree-Beolab 9 speakers are truly amazing, and there isn’t much detailed information out there about them. I’ll definitely consider making a video about the Beolab 9 in the future. Stay tuned, and thanks for the suggestion!
There are one ICEpower 400SM, the powersupply, the "bigger one", and two ICEpower 80AM2 amplifier with 2x 80 watts for mid and high and 1x 160 watts at BTL (bridged) 8 ohms for the bass.
Exactly! The BeoLab 12-2 uses one ICEpower 400SM for the power supply and two ICEpower 80AM2 amplifiers. The setup delivers 2x 80 watts for the mid and high frequencies and 1x 160 watts in BTL mode for the bass, ensuring powerful and balanced sound performance. Thanks for sharing this detailed breakdown
The "Bang & Olufsen" brand name is printed both top & bottom as the user has a choice of placements: either with the tweeter at the 'top' or at the 'bottom'
Great observation! You're absolutely right - the 'Bang & Olufsen' branding is printed on both the top and bottom of the BeoLab 12-2 to give users flexibility in orientation, whether they prefer the tweeter at the top or the bottom. It's a thoughtful design feature that reflects the brand's attention to detail. Thanks for pointing that out!
No worries, RUclips sometimes mixes things up with comments! Thanks for clarifying. That sounds like an interesting topic-those knockoffs can be wild. Let me know if you need any insights or advice about it!
