Metri was already more of an aggressive support dino due to it's speed and lack of durability even from last update. Now it's been pushed even more into the group playstyle due to pretty much other dinos of it's weight class getting more effective tools and options for armor where as metri has sacrificed any chance at armor for another status tool. Metri has pretty much a less damage active role of meg but with the same goal in common. Metri is good at keeping pressure on dinos at the later portion of the fight when stamina has been used, the threat of losing more stamina and losing their chance at escape. Where as meg is good at hide and seek, metri is better at tag.
The other issue is a huge difference in stamina with dinos that don't need it. No reason for herbs like kentro to be able to run miles at a fast pace while being built like a cow.
@alreawon1212 I am a solo player genius. Try playing something like a meg and your stamina runs out I. 10 seconds of running while the 2 kentro players haven't burned through 1/4 of their stam yet. Some dinos just shouldn't have massive stains pools and it should be the fatter herbs and such
@@slaayerr1 Meg is a definition of a dino that doesn't need stamina. It's semi-aquatic. It's supposed to be close to water. It doesn't need stam to be able to escape.
As a metri main, i am deeply sadden by it's debuffs :( If you think about it, it's poison hide should be default. It also should be able to out speed and out stam a fat kentro. I think they should make it as fast as a conc, give it 10 percent more stam, and make it's claw attack either deal more damage or deal bleed. To 50 damage or 40 and 0.2 bleed. And increase venom stam drain. And as for hide, give it though hide and speed hide with no penalty like cera and kentro. How is this fair?? Cera deal passive damage to things that hit it and has free hides?! Metri should have poison by defualt, and those hides. Also, your mistaking. Venom bit deals 65 damage. Oh yea, i think they should decrease the cooldown. From 10 to 7 or 5 seconds. And whenever a venom bite hits you, it should take 5 percent stam on impact. The reason you took so much bleed from the sty is that attacking Sty’s head causes you to not only take passive damage but you get bleed stacks as well from Its headbutt. You have to avoid Sty it’s way to tanky to solo as a Metri. Sty is super strong atm.
Actually I think the passive bleed for all stys are bugged at the moment because my stamina sty dos the same bleed with its frills when bitten on the face what it’s doing is caping out bleed when it should be just adding some bleed and sometimes the bleed icon won’t even show up you will just be bleeding.
@@K-popQueenSoo-Ah I can solo albs and stys with my metri build. I just venom bite them and tail ride the to death. With albs i just bait their back kick and venom bite them. I have mastered tail riding with mid tiers to the point it's the only way i fight something my size or bigger.
@@shahinarahaque2071There is no way you can tailride Styra. This thing has 180+ degrees horn attack hitbox and and it's turn radius is very good. No chance to tailride unless he's bad at the game.
@@K-popQueenSoo-AhStyra needs nerf. It has speed, it has stamina. Great attack hitbox. Headbutt deals 70 dmg AND 0,25 bleed and it's MID tier dino. It has 600hp and is tanky (15% armor ability). 70dmg charge that MAXES bleed with one hit. It even has stomp 110dmg if you want (works when someone tries to tailride you). And on top of that 3100 combat weight. This dino is just overpowered asf.
The Allo now has both Traction and Balanced tail, which gives it an insane turn radius atm. It's why people are using them on Defense Allo's cause they can just easily tail ride rexes and Spinos and live due to being a defense build :/ It's also sad that something like the Cera AND the Pachy get both a 15% armor hide and 10% speed hide and neither of them have any negatives. They did Metri dirty.
@@jamesholcombe675 Never said an Allo could put DPS a Rex. I'm saying they're great at tail riding and because of the trash turn radius on Rex and how bad they are now, Allo's can kill them everytime by just staying behind them, same for Spino's. I've done it so many times
The venom bite actually does more damage than the viper strikes. I'm not sure why they only mention the venom in the description, but it does a nice chunk of damage. Personally I think I'm going to change my metri to defense though, since I only really use it to apply venom to larger dinos for my friends
To be fair, no 2 slot dino like Metri should ever run solo against a 3 slot herbi like a Styrac, that's asking for trouble no matter if you're a Conc, Cera, or Metri. Metri are pack dinos that need a group with multiple Metri to be most effective in fights with larger dinos. Although it is still possible to kill larger dinos when solo on a Metri. - Always use the Venom Bite, it does 65 Damage and a large venom application, while Viper Strikes only does 20 damage and a small venom application. You must get better at timing the bite, that's all there is to it. - Always use Putrid Scales, no matter what. The Speed Hide is trash for Metri because any loss of turn radius is gonna get you killed. - Always use Balance Tail. The Tail attack has become pointless for some dinos, and the Metri is one of them. You don't need a Tail Attack when the Metri is set up properly. Another thing to note is that the Metri has the best precise turning among all dinos, only rivaled by the Dasp which also has great precise turning ability. Using precise turn sooner would've saved you against those Pachys. I've killed multiple Pachys on my own on my balanced Metri even when outnumbered, with these new changes. The reason they bullied you is because you had the Light Hide on and you resorted to tail chasing when you didn't have enough turn radius speed because of the Light Hide. With the Putrid Scales you would be applying roughly 15 seconds of venom every time they hit you, and with the Balanced Tail you'd have better turn radius than Pachys while they are grouped. Pro tip for all dino species: When you're trying to get on the tail of a dino, don't just sprint in circles, turn your sprint On an Off as needed while turning because when you stop sprinting while turning, you turn much tighter than you would if you just continue running. Your complaints at the end of the video confused me, I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. What you didn't get is that you played it all wrong the entire video, you really made the Metri look bad by choosing the wrong abilities. You just didn't set the Metri up correct in this video, you have to play it a certain way for solo play. A Metri, set up properly, will DOG a Conc in a 1v1 easily. The Metri will DOG a Cera in a 1v1 easily. Set up properly and played properly, the Metri is the 2 slot king. Do not play Defense Metri, play Balanced Metri. Defense just lacks a little too much speed and the increase in defense does not balance out the loss of speed. Balance is the right choice. I'm looking forward to the next Metri video as it's my favorite dino!
Running exact same setup except speed subspecies. Still works out well for me. Just need to be a touch more cautious but the extra evasive ability helps. Who knows, maybe I’ll unlock balanced to give it a try someday but I’ve always had great success with my girl as she is. One of my favorites. In fact I took her from juvi to adult without dying and kept battle scars on her longer than any other dino I raised before my first death... and I’ve raised them all. So maybe I have a bit of sentimental bias lol.
They have got to fix the issue with large herbs having tons of stamina. No reason for kentro to move as fast as it does with the stamina it has. Why does it need to be the matathon cow? Ive had where my amarg can chase down and kill dasps and such by just shuffling after them until they need to rest. Large and medium herbs need a drop in stamina
Some tips: -The heavy bite for metri actually does a lot of damage, 65 in fact, in addition to a lot of venom; making it good for hit and run. Viper strikes however does very little damage, only 20. For comparison, the claws do 40 damage, making it a much better option for damage. I personally prefer the heavy venom bite and use claws for damage immediately after since venom strikes does so little damage. -Balanced tail is extremely useful. But only when against opponents larger than you or a similar size, since a better turn can allow you you tailride other dinos. Against rex for example, an allo can quite easily tailride a rex without being bit if you have a full turn build and you use precise movement well. The same can be done against allos using conc or metri depending on build. Of course when against smaller dinos it becomes less useful since it just leaves you open to being tailridden. This is demonstrated well in you fight with the allo, it turned extremely well and you couldn't get behind it because it was using a turn build, which was a better option than a tail attack would have been in that situation. -Metri is good for ambushing. It's the perfect size for crouching in bushes and has good skins for camouflage. If you can catch something by surprise and land a heavy venom bite you can stall until they're out of stamina and you can just hit and run or tailride from there. Conversely metri is also very bad in front on confrontations since its so fragile. I don't think you'd like that kind of playthough, but metri isn't built for much else. It's very much a group dino to support their friends and drain the stamina of prey. I agree that metri is in a very bad spot, which is a shame. I love the poisonous snake motif it has going, but its just so underwhelming and has nowhere near the threat level it deserves. Venom just isn't a good enough status effect as bleed or bonebreak. I would love if it had a damage over time effect in addition to the stam drain to make venom actually threatening, but as it stands it's just a minor inconvenience. Edit: I recommend trying out some community servers. Some have custom stats that make dinos like metri, amarg, etc very fun to play.
Thanks for the info but i'm not gonna play on easy mode servers. I am very much a try hard and a sweat lord haha 🙂 I think you misunderstood my comments from this video. I only made this video to try out the Metri's changes and then shared my opinions on it. I'm not looking for a way to make things easier for me, i like to do things the hard way and learn the hard way and get good the hard way. I could easily play the Metri and grow one to adult just as fast as any other dino's, simply by avoiding conflict but this is boring for me so i'll just play other dino's. Doesn't bother me at all. 😄
@@KrawllUnchained I get it, but that wasn't my intention at all. I didn't recommend just fleeing, just that metri has a very patient playstyle and kit, which is clear doesn't suit you. It's all about hoping for the future changes to fix its flaws, but in the short term there's nothing wrong with enjoying variety, and community servers often fix the balance better than vanilla imo. It's all up to you though, you just have fun, that's what we watch for. Plus custom stats doesn't necessarily mean easy mode, the server I play on has a heavy death penalty and larger dinos like rex take 8 and a half hours to grow, and deinosuchus takes 10. Difficulty is very much determined by how you play and what you decide to fight. 👍
@TheBlue - I use the same build. Heavy Bite, Claw between cooldowns, Hit & Run tactics. The Meg has its advantages and versatility near water but the Metri excels out in open land with its vastly superior stamina pool.
The Metri is a hit and run, or death by 1000 cuts dino. Very high skill cap. It takes a lot of time and practice. Then it can be very very good. Best in packs!

As others have said, it's one that does well with hit and run while the venom eats the stam, kind of like laten. If you expect to hit like a cera you will be dissatisfied. Look at it like a venomous laten and it won't be so bad. Every dog has his day, good video Krawll 👍
I tried the hit and run but i was getting hit every time because my opponents were turning as fast as me if not better so i was always met with their face no matter what i tried.
Metri was my first ever dino that i grew in officials, it always has been my favourite dinosaur, its true tho that they did it worse,but it is still very good for me
@Narsku - Honestly I still enjoy Metri. Been using my speed subspecies to decent effect. Killed a Cera recently 1v1 and punished another that had a go at me, forcing him into hiding behind his Rex buddy huddled in a corner. Paired up I’ve killed Pachys in 2v2. My friend and I ambushed a Sty and later hunted an Alberta taking them out. We even slowly picked apart a Trike for awhile and were close to finishing him until a Styra white knight came out of nowhere on a rescue mission and took me out XD. All of the above were adults. Now granted I’d accept some buffs but I’m still having fun and making it work.
Agreed. I love my speed Metri. I have the toxic hide and I use balance tail. It’s great at a hit and run style. It’s a long game playstyle and not a tanky beast at all. Metri is my solo dino. And hi Nars.
You need defense Metri if you're playing solo. After speed nerf it's not as good but it's still decent - faster (if you have +10% speed ability equipped) and tankier than Pycno. The delayed bite deals 65dmg which is good for trading hits. You can beat many dinos by hit and run method. The ability that applies poison when hit, it actually applies venom and it's not that good. It's capped at 9 seconds so if someone has 30 seconds of venom it won't prolong it by 9 seconds. Turning speed for tail ability is better for this dino.

Good honesty man. They have done metri dirty i have defense on panjura and Gondaw they can solo pachys if the pachy decides they want to stay and fight but if they don't there's not much you can do and if there's 2 of them it's game over. In my opinion it needs a dramatic increase in speed to give it an edge on other dinos
your failing to understand with metri is that it's not meant to face tank you're meant to be maneuverable, get rid of the speed hide run putrid scales and keep the balance tail because if you can't get behind a Dino and maneuverability is trash your dead regardless whether you have a tail attack or not and when running venom bite your claw attack is your main attack not your bite, and putrid scales also does DOT Damage and effects stamina

Herbivores are stronger than carnivores and easier to solo with. Players who only want to do PvP will often choose a strong herbivore and attack everything they see. Herbivore or carnivore doesn't mean anything for a lot of people, they only care about being powerful.
Personally i asume is that they Put metri in the Position of where you NEED a Pack in Order to make it a relatable creatures where in a Game that favors Packs isnt all too surprising however as usual they didnt keep in Account how afoul that creature will feel in solo experiences Also remember "Always Love latency" (for legal reasons this is a Joke)
The turning radius on sty and albertas charge radius needs a major nerf, also they can input damage by their head touching their opponent but pycno and pachy have to make body collision with the opponent to deal damage which is weird, i hope they balance those better in the future because as a pycno player it sucks when you have to run up to your enemy to hurt them or miss them when you clearly wouldve hit them, lol
The venom bite does more damage and venom than viper strikes but has a long cooldown, viper strikes is just the og bite but faster. I use viper strikes because again its the og and for a creature that uses its mouth alot using an attack that has a long animation and can only be used every 10,seconds looks weird anyways lol.
I will say today I fought 3 metris as 3 bars into juvi dasp and by the looks of it these guys were also juvis it took 3 hits for one of them to die I believe but I did use the terrain to my advantage and backed myself on a cliff edge in young grove they don’t have a lot of hide however there venom drained more than half my Stam and all I’ve as doing was camping a corner
Im not sure what official metri is like but on the server i play on its like the best dinosaur. Its big venom bite has a 1 second cooldown, it can jump heigh, and over all can tank and kill most dinosaurs.
There has been a lot of camping near home caves here recently. But it nerfs your stamina. Not sure if it nerfs your attacks though. Also, I believe aggressive pachy players get pushed around all day in real life. So they get on here and feel real bad ass for once.
Just a helpful tip when you were fighting the Kentros I noticed you did a lot of zigging and zagging which is cool but for survivability it’s best to just straight line without getting stuck on objects or trying to zig and zag unless u can make a clear cut choice to get out there like if sight when it’s 1 V X you have to get distance because smart players will stamina mange while their pack mates stay engaged to wear you down. yes, i realized that while editing, when i realized i was faster than them, i told myself i should've ran in a straight line but i guess i'm too used to being chased by things faster than me so zig zagging has become a reflex. Also, my intention was to try and get out of their site by being unpredictable and try to hide at some point and let them keep chasing a ghost but it didn't work 🙂

That's an old video of a previous version of the Metri though. The Metri was in a very bad place when i recorded this video. I have grown a new one since then in my Season 2 Episode 1 of the Juvi to Adult series and that one did really good. 😄
Metri is much better in a group even just a duo (hint hint) can make metri kinda strong for example me and my buddy can fight most mid teirs in a duo but only half solo
Metri has better fall damage resist on default than meg and conca, with megs leap ability it may be better but i dont remember conca getting a fall damage resistance, metri has always been better than both in my opinion lol
i dunno about that. I could be wrong but as a Conc, i felt like i could fall off cliffs fairly comfortably and i didn't feel comfortable falling off cliffs with the metri.
Just a FYI you could have switched to defense in character menu it only cost 500 marks and one growth stage but I understand your frustration with metri tho.

@@plynwow I can see why there's suddenly an increase on their numbers. Whenever a dino goes over powered there's always people ready to abuse it and ruin everyone elses day.
Metri has more speed and damage than Conc but the Conc has a more versatile kit considering it can do tight turns, it has good fall damage tolerance and it can swim to escape almost any danger. I'm also aware that a Defense Metri would've done better in most situations in this video but it still would've been caught up by the Kentros and would've died. Might not have managed to escape the Sty's and most likely would have died to the pachy duo's as well. A conc would have survived by escaping in water and/ or jumping off cliffs.

Now do the opposite of the metri video with the styra. Be an absolute unit! A great opportunity for a collab with prof, dodo, queensua and gyor, to show the effects of the stampede. (Only problem with these many people are the schedules 😅) Be on the opposite side sometimes Krawll, you do the outnumbering this time on the upcoming styra video.. 😂 👍
i've already started working on the styra video as a solo. My big problem with stampede is i'm not a KOS player and i wouldn't be OK with KOS'ing in a group either. No one would dare attack a group of 4 Sty's so the video would take weeks to make . Even as a solo Sty, no one dare's take him on 1v1, i've had 2 engagements so far and both were against Alio packs. and one of them had an Eo on their side for some unknown reason. Anyways, when i play herbi i never attack first unless i'm trying to protect another herbi, it's just how i am.

You can't get action because people are scared just by seeing a pack of stys, and i know that you're not a KOS player also so... I think the only action you'll get is if a large pack of maybe like allos or mix packers appear, but the probability of that happening would be pretty low. I was just hoping that you'll get a break from getting outnumbered most of the time 😅. I guess a better dino for a big group collab would be the Latens or the Deinos. 32:23 i just remember that i might've also been a victim of these two HC guarding idiots.

@Krawll - “When I play herbi I never attack first” - I respect the immersion and role play angle. I try to keep a similar mindset as well. Though depending on the situation, it’s certainly not out of the question to rationalize a first strike from an herbi. Keep in mind Bull Elephants, Cape Buffalo, and Rhino for example, have been known to charge and kill predators and even other herbivores straying too close to their territory. If I don’t like the vibe of a sketchy carni failing to respect my space, I have no issue drawing first blood. That’s on them. If they aren’t actively hunting and looking for a scrap, any carni should logically keep well out of range. Just my take :)
My meeting was a speed from hatchling to adult but with the new update it just became the squishy thing know to man so i had to make it a defence and now I can actually take far few hits from most thing and in still fast enough to out run some but pycno charging is still a fuck ton ov damag to be honest iv had to switch most my dinos to defence just so I can put up a good fight like my dasp was balanced and it was rinsed by a sty and Albert like no charging just smaking me and I die in unde a minute go defence come back can tank and kill one before the other come bb the charging Albert tyrant roar then just hevey bite and bb till I got 2 trophy 😂 still nearly died but lived a lot longer

Your using the metri so wrong it hurts to watch your bite deals heavy damage and never make your turning radius worse and your just running and not fighting
omg people, these comments are seriously getting old. I'm literally taking a knife and swinging it at rocks to see how the blade holds up and test it's overall quality. Then people like you come and tell me, it's a mistake to swing a knife at rocks as if i'm too dumb to know. I'm literally saying in the title, TESTING NEW ABILITIES. this means i never used it before and i'm TESTING IT.
For sure, there are ways to play the Metri better than i did in this video and there are better builds than the ones used in this video. Try it out, maybe you will still like yours, who knows ?
Hey krawll big fan here ❤ but uh was gonna ask if you ever played deathmatch servers to train or just for fun either way I admin bloodsport death match we have just recently gotten started and trying to build a nice community where players feel free to learn without the pressure of official players lol keep up the great vids brother XD
So many mistakes with that Sty fight early on in the video. As soon as you saw the amount of damage and bleed the BABY stay did to you you should of retreated, healed up and got the bleed off of you. Realistically a metri just shouldn’t take on a sty, they’re covered in armored skin and horns lol, they also have more weight on them. Then after seeing how much damage the baby did, you continue to stand around out in the open while the adult Sty gets closer to you. I’m sorry man but I think your on my top list of most frustrating PoT RUclipsrs to watch. Same thing when you saw the Pycno and 2 Kentros. You clearly saw that they were all friends and testing abilities yet you stood there and watched. I would immediately look for cover and start making my way to the Home Cave to add abilities but you didn’t. You left yourself out in the open when facing 3 potential opponents. So many mistakes that even a new player quickly learns not to do. Same again with the 2 pachys at SLL, you saw 2 pachys together and you weren’t prepared or wanting to take on two, you should of left the area or at least went and hid in a bush for a ice surprise attack. You know how weak the Metri is with the first few fights you did so I don’t know why you continue to stay out in the open and let your opponents get the first hit off on you.
How many times am i gonna have to tell people that i take unnecessary risks on purpose before people stop treating me like i'm a newb. I am essentially running into walls head first to see what happens so i can pout it into videos. I'm putting my hand in the fire or dipping it into acid to see what happens and put it into a video. It's all on purpose. I'm not trying to do the right thing, i'm testing things. I'm taking a knife and i'm scraping it against rocks and trees and trying to cut through bones with it to see how much it holds up. If i was trying to make myself look good as a PvP'er do you seriously think i would show all my failures?
@@KrawllUnchained All I was saying is that these videos are frustrating to watch. You can still test Dino’s out without immediately putting yourself at a disadvantage. You can also learn as you play the Dino and show your watchers different ways to play it. So for example, you quickly learned that the metri is better at bite and run tactics and more of an ambush predator but continued to face targets head on or just stand around and wait for a target to get the first hit. Like I mentioned in my first comment, you put yourself at a disadvantage during the pycno and kentro altercation. You let the adult sty walk up and get within charge distance. I think it really only takes one instance to see how quickly a Dino dies during a fight but after that try and switch it up instead of just standing around. I’ve seen other RUclipsrs test out new Dinos or updated Dino abilities and they do it in a way that isn’t frustrating to watch. I mention this to you just so you can see other viewpoints and perspectives so maybe you can continue to better your videos in the future. I’m not saying your the worst channel on the planet and can’t improve, just currently one of most frustrating to watch.

@@Ninjalette666 Yesterday i was on my Sty at Talon's Point in Panjura and this big Eo comes down towards the beech, there was me and a passive Ano with me down at the beech and two Alio's came from a completely different direction and then for about two minutes there is this face off with the 3 herbi's on one side and the two Alio's on the other. Then the Eo who is behind me and the Ano at the time starts to sharpen horns... in my head i'm thinking he's gonna charge at the Alio's but no, he charged at me and then the two Alio's join in and charge me as well. So yeah, the problem is not trikes or herbis, the problem is these animals are played by humans.

lol, the speed Metri, as a solo, back when this video was published, was useless. Unless you wanted to hunt juvi's or run away from fights which didn't always work either as this video clearly showed, a pachy or Kentro could still keep up and catch up to it and kill it. When your dino can't take more than 3 or 4 hits and can't outrun or outturn bigger and stronger dino's, it's trash as a solo. There has to be a reason why they are completely revamping the Metri in the next combat update.

1: the problem is home caves, if there weren't home caves in the game, people couldn't camp them. 2: For me it's the player interactions and the pvp and the possibility to create cool content for my channel, but everyone is different. 3:It's a survival game in the sense that you have to survive from Juvenile until you become an adult. 4: Starving will kill you but food isn't that hard to find, there are many sources of food. 5: Nesting is supposed to come to the game eventually, this game is still in development. 6: I play official servers because to me this is the only way to play the real game. Community servers all have made up rules and fast growth to make the game easier. I don't want to play an easier version of the game, i want to get good at the real thing. 7: Only the devs know why they do what they do. 8: I don't believe that balance should be a thing in a dino game. Do you really believe that a T-Rex should be balanced with a Campto ? In my opinion a dino survival game should throw balance out the window and just give those dinosaurs the most realistic feel possible but then again, i think this game fails at both realism and balance but succeeds a lot at non sense. 9: I thought i knew for a while but turns out the devs are going in a completely different direction that i first imagined so i really don't know anymore. @@KrawllUnchained Regarding point number 8, do you think most mid tiers dinos is too OP? I mean, statwise, they got decent speed, stams, and probably OP mechanics. Take cera for example. I have tried playing cera, and in my opinion, Its too OP for mid tiers dino. They got charged bite that deals massive damage, with low cooldown and doesn't use any stams, They take less fall damage, they got decent stams and speed, they got decent recovery rates on health and stams, good turning radius and precise movement, and lot more. In just 2 hours playing an adult cera, i could take down a full grown solo Rex on Islander server last week. In only about 5-10 minutes dancing around with this Rex, i could finally got his trophy. And i see a lot of cera or other mid tier Packs, like pycno, pachy always bully solo apexes. Imagine, a tyrant Lizard king, cowering in the corner of a cliff or a wall getting bullied by cera Packs. But this is what i always witness in every hotspots on this game. I think this is such a pity sights to see an Apex have to defend themselves that way. And do you know why apexes is easily killable in this game, especially solo apex players? Not trying to compare, but in evrima or even BoB, even if i have a lot of groupmates as midtier, taking down an apexes is really hard work and sometimes Its impossible even. Like you said, this game doesn't need a good balance between each Dinos. But a lot of mid tiers, even if they in group or not, always destroying apexes in this game. They got overall superior stats except for damage output which is useless if you always misses your bite due to your agile enemies.
@@temujinchannel8584 I agree that a small dino shouldn't be able to bully an Apex but then again, a large enough pack of anything can take down anything. In the Ocean, a single killer whale can't take out a larger whale but a whole pod of them can and do it on a regular basis. A single wolf can't take out a bear but a large enough pack can. A single Hyena can't do anything to a Lion but a large pack of them have been documented bullying Lions and sometimes killing them. A single Cera should 100% not be able to killa Rex but then again, if i'm on my Rex, a single Cera would never be able to kill me so a lot of this has to do with player skill too. I think a large enough pack of Cera's should be able to take out anything but against a rex, there might be some casualties for sure.
@@KrawllUnchained Orcas are Apex predator, even sharks run away from them. They often hunt baleen whale or other filter feeders whale and also Juvenile sperm whale. Even baleen whale and sperm whale avoid a Lone male Orcas. If They Heard their calls, they immediatly flee the area. They are Apex that feared by most other sea creatures. And you were right about wolves and Bears. But the conflicts often arose because they contesting food or territories. Apexes often just showin of strength and avoid injuries. I've never Saw a wolves pack chasing down a bear from yellowstones to north Carolina just to kill the bear 😂 But That's my point, rexes, spinos, barsboldia, trike, and many other apexes is getting killed easily while midtier like Ano, need at least 15 minutes to kill one with whole servers ganging up on it.
He was a speed Metri, the only dino i had that wasn't Defense or Balanced. Speed dino's are not made for soloing unless you want to be a scavenger which i don't like being. Having to run away from every fight made this video one of the most painful to make. I was never going to play this Metri ever again, even if it got buffed down the line. I want a Defense one and i want to grow it from scratch.🙂
@Krawll - I don’t quite agree. More often I play solo as well. I have a decent variety ranging from Defense, to Balanced, to Speed. Depending on the Dino, some subspecies may fit a build better than others, along with personal play style. Yet I never use my speed build classes with the intention of “running away” and simply scavenging. I build them that way to outmaneuver slower dinosaurs. To pick apart and land more hits on my opponent, while not getting hit. To pursue wounded dinos who flee and land that finishing strike I may not be capable of doing with a defense build. It can be effective even on equal footing, such as my speed conc killing a defense conc 1v1. Of course face tanking something larger than yourself isn’t wise... but that’s to be expected. Though I’ve been watching your vids for quite some time and I’m well aware your style favors defense, so fair enough. Just don’t underestimate speedsters. The subspecies difference is often only tanking maybe an extra hit or two and if they outplay you... speed kills. Respect Krawll and looking forward to next upload my friend.

Yet, those people are making it possible for me to get content for my videos so as much as they are jerks, i thank them for it 😄 When i play space games, i love pirates because they give me someone to fight against without having to attack good people. I love pvp, i love fighting but i don't like attacking defenseless people so these brutes help me get what i want and feel good about it 😂
The metri in my opinion is worse than the laten. I dont blame u for deleting it. They need to improve it. I think its useless. Unless its used as a chaser to bigger dinos running away to finish them.
Could have atleast tried to go in hc, they were not camping they were coming out. They prob had the de buff so u could have made it. Many mistakes made lol alot are avoidable 😅😅😅
They didn't have the debuff, if they did i would've lost them easy. They might not have been camping but seeing me made them want it. Trying to go in the HC would've given them free hits on me and the moment i'm in combat, i can't enter it. When you play this game long enough, you learn certain things the hard way and and one of these things is, if you know you're squishy, you don't take the risk of giving free hits. In other words, you don't approach something that might want to kill you and pachy's want to kill you 98% of the time.
@@KrawllUnchained they probably had a few seconds left. It has saved me multiple times no matter what dino I am on. U never know until you try, those 2 seconds were enough time to get in, if that were the case. I've danced around players and still made it into the hc by dodging attacks. I'm not a new player I have all adults. Sometimes play smarter not harder is all I'm gonna say. Had 4 pachys on me by a hc out menuvered them and got in.
Metri was already more of an aggressive support dino due to it's speed and lack of durability even from last update. Now it's been pushed even more into the group playstyle due to pretty much other dinos of it's weight class getting more effective tools and options for armor where as metri has sacrificed any chance at armor for another status tool.
Metri has pretty much a less damage active role of meg but with the same goal in common.
Metri is good at keeping pressure on dinos at the later portion of the fight when stamina has been used, the threat of losing more stamina and losing their chance at escape.
Where as meg is good at hide and seek, metri is better at tag.

The other issue is a huge difference in stamina with dinos that don't need it. No reason for herbs like kentro to be able to run miles at a fast pace while being built like a cow.

@alreawon1212 I am a solo player genius. Try playing something like a meg and your stamina runs out I. 10 seconds of running while the 2 kentro players haven't burned through 1/4 of their stam yet. Some dinos just shouldn't have massive stains pools and it should be the fatter herbs and such
@@slaayerr1 Meg is a definition of a dino that doesn't need stamina. It's semi-aquatic. It's supposed to be close to water. It doesn't need stam to be able to escape.
As a metri main, i am deeply sadden by it's debuffs :( If you think about it, it's poison hide should be default. It also should be able to out speed and out stam a fat kentro. I think they should make it as fast as a conc, give it 10 percent more stam, and make it's claw attack either deal more damage or deal bleed. To 50 damage or 40 and 0.2 bleed. And increase venom stam drain. And as for hide, give it though hide and speed hide with no penalty like cera and kentro. How is this fair?? Cera deal passive damage to things that hit it and has free hides?! Metri should have poison by defualt, and those hides. Also, your mistaking. Venom bit deals 65 damage. Oh yea, i think they should decrease the cooldown. From 10 to 7 or 5 seconds. And whenever a venom bite hits you, it should take 5 percent stam on impact. The reason you took so much bleed from the sty is that attacking Sty’s head causes you to not only take passive damage but you get bleed stacks as well from Its headbutt. You have to avoid Sty it’s way to tanky to solo as a Metri. Sty is super strong atm.
Actually I think the passive bleed for all stys are bugged at the moment because my stamina sty dos the same bleed with its frills when bitten on the face what it’s doing is caping out bleed when it should be just adding some bleed and sometimes the bleed icon won’t even show up you will just be bleeding.

@@K-popQueenSoo-Ah I can solo albs and stys with my metri build. I just venom bite them and tail ride the to death. With albs i just bait their back kick and venom bite them. I have mastered tail riding with mid tiers to the point it's the only way i fight something my size or bigger.

@@K-popQueenSoo-AhStyra needs nerf. It has speed, it has stamina. Great attack hitbox. Headbutt deals 70 dmg AND 0,25 bleed and it's MID tier dino. It has 600hp and is tanky (15% armor ability). 70dmg charge that MAXES bleed with one hit. It even has stomp 110dmg if you want (works when someone tries to tailride you). And on top of that 3100 combat weight. This dino is just overpowered asf.
The Allo now has both Traction and Balanced tail, which gives it an insane turn radius atm. It's why people are using them on Defense Allo's cause they can just easily tail ride rexes and Spinos and live due to being a defense build :/
It's also sad that something like the Cera AND the Pachy get both a 15% armor hide and 10% speed hide and neither of them have any negatives. They did Metri dirty.

If I see Pachy as a metri far in the distance, always assume they will attack. There's no saint player in Pachy.
The venom bite actually does more damage than the viper strikes. I'm not sure why they only mention the venom in the description, but it does a nice chunk of damage. Personally I think I'm going to change my metri to defense though, since I only really use it to apply venom to larger dinos for my friends

To be fair, no 2 slot dino like Metri should ever run solo against a 3 slot herbi like a Styrac, that's asking for trouble no matter if you're a Conc, Cera, or Metri. Metri are pack dinos that need a group with multiple Metri to be most effective in fights with larger dinos. Although it is still possible to kill larger dinos when solo on a Metri.
- Always use the Venom Bite, it does 65 Damage and a large venom application, while Viper Strikes only does 20 damage and a small venom application. You must get better at timing the bite, that's all there is to it.
- Always use Putrid Scales, no matter what. The Speed Hide is trash for Metri because any loss of turn radius is gonna get you killed.
- Always use Balance Tail. The Tail attack has become pointless for some dinos, and the Metri is one of them. You don't need a Tail Attack when the Metri is set up properly.
Another thing to note is that the Metri has the best precise turning among all dinos, only rivaled by the Dasp which also has great precise turning ability. Using precise turn sooner would've saved you against those Pachys. I've killed multiple Pachys on my own on my balanced Metri even when outnumbered, with these new changes. The reason they bullied you is because you had the Light Hide on and you resorted to tail chasing when you didn't have enough turn radius speed because of the Light Hide. With the Putrid Scales you would be applying roughly 15 seconds of venom every time they hit you, and with the Balanced Tail you'd have better turn radius than Pachys while they are grouped.
Pro tip for all dino species: When you're trying to get on the tail of a dino, don't just sprint in circles, turn your sprint On an Off as needed while turning because when you stop sprinting while turning, you turn much tighter than you would if you just continue running.
Your complaints at the end of the video confused me, I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. What you didn't get is that you played it all wrong the entire video, you really made the Metri look bad by choosing the wrong abilities. You just didn't set the Metri up correct in this video, you have to play it a certain way for solo play. A Metri, set up properly, will DOG a Conc in a 1v1 easily. The Metri will DOG a Cera in a 1v1 easily. Set up properly and played properly, the Metri is the 2 slot king. Do not play Defense Metri, play Balanced Metri. Defense just lacks a little too much speed and the increase in defense does not balance out the loss of speed. Balance is the right choice. I'm looking forward to the next Metri video as it's my favorite dino!
Running exact same setup except speed subspecies. Still works out well for me. Just need to be a touch more cautious but the extra evasive ability helps. Who knows, maybe I’ll unlock balanced to give it a try someday but I’ve always had great success with my girl as she is. One of my favorites. In fact I took her from juvi to adult without dying and kept battle scars on her longer than any other dino I raised before my first death... and I’ve raised them all. So maybe I have a bit of sentimental bias lol.
They have got to fix the issue with large herbs having tons of stamina. No reason for kentro to move as fast as it does with the stamina it has. Why does it need to be the matathon cow? Ive had where my amarg can chase down and kill dasps and such by just shuffling after them until they need to rest. Large and medium herbs need a drop in stamina
Some tips:
-The heavy bite for metri actually does a lot of damage, 65 in fact, in addition to a lot of venom; making it good for hit and run. Viper strikes however does very little damage, only 20. For comparison, the claws do 40 damage, making it a much better option for damage. I personally prefer the heavy venom bite and use claws for damage immediately after since venom strikes does so little damage.
-Balanced tail is extremely useful. But only when against opponents larger than you or a similar size, since a better turn can allow you you tailride other dinos. Against rex for example, an allo can quite easily tailride a rex without being bit if you have a full turn build and you use precise movement well. The same can be done against allos using conc or metri depending on build. Of course when against smaller dinos it becomes less useful since it just leaves you open to being tailridden. This is demonstrated well in you fight with the allo, it turned extremely well and you couldn't get behind it because it was using a turn build, which was a better option than a tail attack would have been in that situation.
-Metri is good for ambushing. It's the perfect size for crouching in bushes and has good skins for camouflage. If you can catch something by surprise and land a heavy venom bite you can stall until they're out of stamina and you can just hit and run or tailride from there. Conversely metri is also very bad in front on confrontations since its so fragile. I don't think you'd like that kind of playthough, but metri isn't built for much else. It's very much a group dino to support their friends and drain the stamina of prey.
I agree that metri is in a very bad spot, which is a shame. I love the poisonous snake motif it has going, but its just so underwhelming and has nowhere near the threat level it deserves. Venom just isn't a good enough status effect as bleed or bonebreak. I would love if it had a damage over time effect in addition to the stam drain to make venom actually threatening, but as it stands it's just a minor inconvenience.
Edit: I recommend trying out some community servers. Some have custom stats that make dinos like metri, amarg, etc very fun to play.

I only made this video to try out the Metri's changes and then shared my opinions on it.
I'm not looking for a way to make things easier for me, i like to do things the hard way and learn the hard way and get good the hard way.
I could easily play the Metri and grow one to adult just as fast as any other dino's, simply by avoiding conflict but this is boring for me so i'll just play other dino's.

@@KrawllUnchained I get it, but that wasn't my intention at all. I didn't recommend just fleeing, just that metri has a very patient playstyle and kit, which is clear doesn't suit you. It's all about hoping for the future changes to fix its flaws, but in the short term there's nothing wrong with enjoying variety, and community servers often fix the balance better than vanilla imo. It's all up to you though, you just have fun, that's what we watch for. Plus custom stats doesn't necessarily mean easy mode, the server I play on has a heavy death penalty and larger dinos like rex take 8 and a half hours to grow, and deinosuchus takes 10. Difficulty is very much determined by how you play and what you decide to fight. 👍
@TheBlue - I use the same build. Heavy Bite, Claw between cooldowns, Hit & Run tactics. The Meg has its advantages and versatility near water but the Metri excels out in open land with its vastly superior stamina pool.
The Metri is a hit and run, or death by 1000 cuts dino. Very high skill cap. It takes a lot of time and practice. Then it can be very very good. Best in packs!
A dino that’s only good with intense skill is as bad as a dino that’s OP with 0 skill.

As others have said, it's one that does well with hit and run while the venom eats the stam, kind of like laten. If you expect to hit like a cera you will be dissatisfied. Look at it like a venomous laten and it won't be so bad. Every dog has his day, good video Krawll 👍
I tried the hit and run but i was getting hit every time because my opponents were turning as fast as me if not better so i was always met with their face no matter what i tried.

They might not have been camping, maybe just resting for a little bit but were most likely about to either leave or get in.
Metri was my first ever dino that i grew in officials, it always has been my favourite dinosaur, its true tho that they did it worse,but it is still very good for me

@Narsku - Honestly I still enjoy Metri. Been using my speed subspecies to decent effect. Killed a Cera recently 1v1 and punished another that had a go at me, forcing him into hiding behind his Rex buddy huddled in a corner. Paired up I’ve killed Pachys in 2v2. My friend and I ambushed a Sty and later hunted an Alberta taking them out. We even slowly picked apart a Trike for awhile and were close to finishing him until a Styra white knight came out of nowhere on a rescue mission and took me out XD. All of the above were adults. Now granted I’d accept some buffs but I’m still having fun and making it work.
Agreed. I love my speed Metri. I have the toxic hide and I use balance tail. It’s great at a hit and run style. It’s a long game playstyle and not a tanky beast at all. Metri is my solo dino. And hi Nars.

You need defense Metri if you're playing solo. After speed nerf it's not as good but it's still decent - faster (if you have +10% speed ability equipped) and tankier than Pycno. The delayed bite deals 65dmg which is good for trading hits. You can beat many dinos by hit and run method.
The ability that applies poison when hit, it actually applies venom and it's not that good. It's capped at 9 seconds so if someone has 30 seconds of venom it won't prolong it by 9 seconds.
Turning speed for tail ability is better for this dino.

They have done metri dirty i have defense on panjura and Gondaw they can solo pachys if the pachy decides they want to stay and fight but if they don't there's not much you can do and if there's 2 of them it's game over. In my opinion it needs a dramatic increase in speed to give it an edge on other dinos

your failing to understand with metri is that it's not meant to face tank you're meant to be maneuverable, get rid of the speed hide run putrid scales and keep the balance tail because if you can't get behind a Dino and maneuverability is trash your dead regardless whether you have a tail attack or not and when running venom bite your claw attack is your main attack not your bite, and putrid scales also does DOT Damage and effects stamina

Herbivores are stronger than carnivores and easier to solo with.
Players who only want to do PvP will often choose a strong herbivore and attack everything they see.
Herbivore or carnivore doesn't mean anything for a lot of people, they only care about being powerful.
Personally i asume is that they Put metri in the Position of where you NEED a Pack in Order to make it a relatable creatures where in a Game that favors Packs isnt all too surprising however as usual they didnt keep in Account how afoul that creature will feel in solo experiences

The turning radius on sty and albertas charge radius needs a major nerf, also they can input damage by their head touching their opponent but pycno and pachy have to make body collision with the opponent to deal damage which is weird, i hope they balance those better in the future because as a pycno player it sucks when you have to run up to your enemy to hurt them or miss them when you clearly wouldve hit them, lol
The venom bite does more damage and venom than viper strikes but has a long cooldown, viper strikes is just the og bite but faster. I use viper strikes because again its the og and for a creature that uses its mouth alot using an attack that has a long animation and can only be used every 10,seconds looks weird anyways lol.

I will say today I fought 3 metris as 3 bars into juvi dasp and by the looks of it these guys were also juvis it took 3 hits for one of them to die I believe but I did use the terrain to my advantage and backed myself on a cliff edge in young grove they don’t have a lot of hide however there venom drained more than half my Stam and all I’ve as doing was camping a corner
Im not sure what official metri is like but on the server i play on its like the best dinosaur. Its big venom bite has a 1 second cooldown, it can jump heigh, and over all can tank and kill most dinosaurs.
Definitely buffed compared to the official Metri.

There has been a lot of camping near home caves here recently. But it nerfs your stamina. Not sure if it nerfs your attacks though. Also, I believe aggressive pachy players get pushed around all day in real life. So they get on here and feel real bad ass for once.

Just a helpful tip when you were fighting the Kentros I noticed you did a lot of zigging and zagging which is cool but for survivability it’s best to just straight line without getting stuck on objects or trying to zig and zag unless u can make a clear cut choice to get out there like if sight when it’s 1 V X you have to get distance because smart players will stamina mange while their pack mates stay engaged to wear you down. yes, i realized that while editing, when i realized i was faster than them, i told myself i should've ran in a straight line but i guess i'm too used to being chased by things faster than me so zig zagging has become a reflex. Also, my intention was to try and get out of their site by being unpredictable and try to hide at some point and let them keep chasing a ghost but it didn't work 🙂

I feel like all of the mid size carnivores are under powered, but its always tuff solo. In groups of 3 or 4 they are S tier.

The Metri was in a very bad place when i recorded this video.
I have grown a new one since then in my Season 2 Episode 1 of the Juvi to Adult series and that one did really good. 😄
Metri is much better in a group even just a duo (hint hint) can make metri kinda strong for example me and my buddy can fight most mid teirs in a duo but only half solo

Metri has better fall damage resist on default than meg and conca, with megs leap ability it may be better but i dont remember conca getting a fall damage resistance, metri has always been better than both in my opinion lol
I just felt like i was taking less fall damage on my conc than i did on this Metri.
Actually I’m pretty sure Concavenator has the same fall damage tolerance as Metri.

I could be wrong but as a Conc, i felt like i could fall off cliffs fairly comfortably and i didn't feel comfortable falling off cliffs with the metri.

Just a FYI you could have switched to defense in character menu it only cost 500 marks and one growth stage but I understand your frustration with metri tho.
I prefer to grow a new one from scratch and i will do that after they rebalance it a bit or at least add the voice ability.

Conc is scarier in a pack though, mainly because of bleed buff
Metri has more speed and damage than Conc but the Conc has a more versatile kit considering it can do tight turns, it has good fall damage tolerance and it can swim to escape almost any danger.
I'm also aware that a Defense Metri would've done better in most situations in this video but it still would've been caught up by the Kentros and would've died. Might not have managed to escape the Sty's and most likely would have died to the pachy duo's as well. A conc would have survived by escaping in water and/ or jumping off cliffs.

Kentro is overral a Danger to all Mid Tiers if they can't escape
Heck a Solo kentro can kill a Allo
Styra is also very good atm and can also.Kill a Allo
Conc seems better in those specifics Situations because it can escape using water
Then again depending how you play or both play
They are very good in specific situations after all

My big problem with stampede is i'm not a KOS player and i wouldn't be OK with KOS'ing in a group either.
No one would dare attack a group of 4 Sty's so the video would take weeks to make .
Even as a solo Sty, no one dare's take him on 1v1, i've had 2 engagements so far and both were against Alio packs. and one of them had an Eo on their side for some unknown reason.
Anyways, when i play herbi i never attack first unless i'm trying to protect another herbi, it's just how i am.

You can't get action because people are scared just by seeing a pack of stys, and i know that you're not a KOS player also so... I think the only action you'll get is if a large pack of maybe like allos or mix packers appear, but the probability of that happening would be pretty low.
I was just hoping that you'll get a break from getting outnumbered most of the time 😅. I guess a better dino for a big group collab would be the Latens or the Deinos.

@Krawll - “When I play herbi I never attack first” - I respect the immersion and role play angle. I try to keep a similar mindset as well. Though depending on the situation, it’s certainly not out of the question to rationalize a first strike from an herbi. Keep in mind Bull Elephants, Cape Buffalo, and Rhino for example, have been known to charge and kill predators and even other herbivores straying too close to their territory. If I don’t like the vibe of a sketchy carni failing to respect my space, I have no issue drawing first blood. That’s on them. If they aren’t actively hunting and looking for a scrap, any carni should logically keep well out of range. Just my take :)

My meeting was a speed from hatchling to adult but with the new update it just became the squishy thing know to man so i had to make it a defence and now I can actually take far few hits from most thing and in still fast enough to out run some but pycno charging is still a fuck ton ov damag to be honest iv had to switch most my dinos to defence just so I can put up a good fight like my dasp was balanced and it was rinsed by a sty and Albert like no charging just smaking me and I die in unde a minute go defence come back can tank and kill one before the other come bb the charging Albert tyrant roar then just hevey bite and bb till I got 2 trophy 😂 still nearly died but lived a lot longer

So many mistakes with that Sty fight early on in the video. As soon as you saw the amount of damage and bleed the BABY stay did to you you should of retreated, healed up and got the bleed off of you. Realistically a metri just shouldn’t take on a sty, they’re covered in armored skin and horns lol, they also have more weight on them. Then after seeing how much damage the baby did, you continue to stand around out in the open while the adult Sty gets closer to you. I’m sorry man but I think your on my top list of most frustrating PoT RUclipsrs to watch. Same thing when you saw the Pycno and 2 Kentros. You clearly saw that they were all friends and testing abilities yet you stood there and watched. I would immediately look for cover and start making my way to the Home Cave to add abilities but you didn’t. You left yourself out in the open when facing 3 potential opponents. So many mistakes that even a new player quickly learns not to do. Same again with the 2 pachys at SLL, you saw 2 pachys together and you weren’t prepared or wanting to take on two, you should of left the area or at least went and hid in a bush for a ice surprise attack. You know how weak the Metri is with the first few fights you did so I don’t know why you continue to stay out in the open and let your opponents get the first hit off on you.
How many times am i gonna have to tell people that i take unnecessary risks on purpose before people stop treating me like i'm a newb.
I am essentially running into walls head first to see what happens so i can pout it into videos.
I'm putting my hand in the fire or dipping it into acid to see what happens and put it into a video.
It's all on purpose. I'm not trying to do the right thing, i'm testing things.
I'm taking a knife and i'm scraping it against rocks and trees and trying to cut through bones with it to see how much it holds up.

@@KrawllUnchained All I was saying is that these videos are frustrating to watch. You can still test Dino’s out without immediately putting yourself at a disadvantage. You can also learn as you play the Dino and show your watchers different ways to play it. So for example, you quickly learned that the metri is better at bite and run tactics and more of an ambush predator but continued to face targets head on or just stand around and wait for a target to get the first hit. Like I mentioned in my first comment, you put yourself at a disadvantage during the pycno and kentro altercation. You let the adult sty walk up and get within charge distance. I think it really only takes one instance to see how quickly a Dino dies during a fight but after that try and switch it up instead of just standing around. I’ve seen other RUclipsrs test out new Dinos or updated Dino abilities and they do it in a way that isn’t frustrating to watch. I mention this to you just so you can see other viewpoints and perspectives so maybe you can continue to better your videos in the future. I’m not saying your the worst channel on the planet and can’t improve, just currently one of most frustrating to watch.

@@Ninjalette666 Yesterday i was on my Sty at Talon's Point in Panjura and this big Eo comes down towards the beech, there was me and a passive Ano with me down at the beech and two Alio's came from a completely different direction and then for about two minutes there is this face off with the 3 herbi's on one side and the two Alio's on the other.
Then the Eo who is behind me and the Ano at the time starts to sharpen horns...
in my head i'm thinking he's gonna charge at the Alio's but no, he charged at me and then the two Alio's join in and charge me as well.
So yeah, the problem is not trikes or herbis, the problem is these animals are played by humans.

lol, the speed Metri, as a solo, back when this video was published, was useless. Unless you wanted to hunt juvi's or run away from fights which didn't always work either as this video clearly showed, a pachy or Kentro could still keep up and catch up to it and kill it.
When your dino can't take more than 3 or 4 hits and can't outrun or outturn bigger and stronger dino's, it's trash as a solo.
There has to be a reason why they are completely revamping the Metri in the next combat update.

1: the problem is home caves, if there weren't home caves in the game, people couldn't camp them.
2: For me it's the player interactions and the pvp and the possibility to create cool content for my channel, but everyone is different.
3:It's a survival game in the sense that you have to survive from Juvenile until you become an adult.
4: Starving will kill you but food isn't that hard to find, there are many sources of food.
5: Nesting is supposed to come to the game eventually, this game is still in development.
6: I play official servers because to me this is the only way to play the real game. Community servers all have made up rules and fast growth to make the game easier. I don't want to play an easier version of the game, i want to get good at the real thing.
7: Only the devs know why they do what they do.
8: I don't believe that balance should be a thing in a dino game. Do you really believe that a T-Rex should be balanced with a Campto ? In my opinion a dino survival game should throw balance out the window and just give those dinosaurs the most realistic feel possible but then again, i think this game fails at both realism and balance but succeeds a lot at non sense.
9: I thought i knew for a while but turns out the devs are going in a completely different direction that i first imagined so i really don't know anymore.

@@KrawllUnchained Regarding point number 8, do you think most mid tiers dinos is too OP? I mean, statwise, they got decent speed, stams, and probably OP mechanics.
Take cera for example. I have tried playing cera, and in my opinion, Its too OP for mid tiers dino. They got charged bite that deals massive damage, with low cooldown and doesn't use any stams, They take less fall damage, they got decent stams and speed, they got decent recovery rates on health and stams, good turning radius and precise movement, and lot more. In just 2 hours playing an adult cera, i could take down a full grown solo Rex on Islander server last week. In only about 5-10 minutes dancing around with this Rex, i could finally got his trophy.
And i see a lot of cera or other mid tier Packs, like pycno, pachy always bully solo apexes. Imagine, a tyrant Lizard king, cowering in the corner of a cliff or a wall getting bullied by cera Packs. But this is what i always witness in every hotspots on this game. I think this is such a pity sights to see an Apex have to defend themselves that way. And do you know why apexes is easily killable in this game, especially solo apex players? Not trying to compare, but in evrima or even BoB, even if i have a lot of groupmates as midtier, taking down an apexes is really hard work and sometimes Its impossible even.
Like you said, this game doesn't need a good balance between each Dinos. But a lot of mid tiers, even if they in group or not, always destroying apexes in this game. They got overall superior stats except for damage output which is useless if you always misses your bite due to your agile enemies.

In the Ocean, a single killer whale can't take out a larger whale but a whole pod of them can and do it on a regular basis.
A single wolf can't take out a bear but a large enough pack can.
A single Hyena can't do anything to a Lion but a large pack of them have been documented bullying Lions and sometimes killing them.
A single Cera should 100% not be able to killa Rex but then again, if i'm on my Rex, a single Cera would never be able to kill me so a lot of this has to do with player skill too.
I think a large enough pack of Cera's should be able to take out anything but against a rex, there might be some casualties for sure.
@@KrawllUnchained Orcas are Apex predator, even sharks run away from them. They often hunt baleen whale or other filter feeders whale and also Juvenile sperm whale. Even baleen whale and sperm whale avoid a Lone male Orcas. If They Heard their calls, they immediatly flee the area. They are Apex that feared by most other sea creatures.
And you were right about wolves and Bears. But the conflicts often arose because they contesting food or territories. Apexes often just showin of strength and avoid injuries. I've never Saw a wolves pack chasing down a bear from yellowstones to north Carolina just to kill the bear 😂
But That's my point, rexes, spinos, barsboldia, trike, and many other apexes is getting killed easily while midtier like Ano, need at least 15 minutes to kill one with whole servers ganging up on it.

He was a speed Metri, the only dino i had that wasn't Defense or Balanced. Speed dino's are not made for soloing unless you want to be a scavenger which i don't like being.
Having to run away from every fight made this video one of the most painful to make.
I was never going to play this Metri ever again, even if it got buffed down the line.
I want a Defense one and i want to grow it from scratch.🙂

@Krawll - I don’t quite agree. More often I play solo as well. I have a decent variety ranging from Defense, to Balanced, to Speed. Depending on the Dino, some subspecies may fit a build better than others, along with personal play style. Yet I never use my speed build classes with the intention of “running away” and simply scavenging. I build them that way to outmaneuver slower dinosaurs. To pick apart and land more hits on my opponent, while not getting hit. To pursue wounded dinos who flee and land that finishing strike I may not be capable of doing with a defense build. It can be effective even on equal footing, such as my speed conc killing a defense conc 1v1. Of course face tanking something larger than yourself isn’t wise... but that’s to be expected. Though I’ve been watching your vids for quite some time and I’m well aware your style favors defense, so fair enough. Just don’t underestimate speedsters. The subspecies difference is often only tanking maybe an extra hit or two and if they outplay you... speed kills. Respect Krawll and looking forward to next upload my friend.

My metri (adolescent) was attacked by an adult lateni. He gave up. He couldn't kill me.
Could have atleast tried to go in hc, they were not camping they were coming out. They prob had the de buff so u could have made it. Many mistakes made lol alot are avoidable 😅😅😅
They didn't have the debuff, if they did i would've lost them easy.
They might not have been camping but seeing me made them want it.
Trying to go in the HC would've given them free hits on me and the moment i'm in combat, i can't enter it.
When you play this game long enough, you learn certain things the hard way and and one of these things is, if you know you're squishy, you don't take the risk of giving free hits.
In other words, you don't approach something that might want to kill you and pachy's want to kill you 98% of the time.
@@KrawllUnchained they probably had a few seconds left. It has saved me multiple times no matter what dino I am on. U never know until you try, those 2 seconds were enough time to get in, if that were the case. I've danced around players and still made it into the hc by dodging attacks. I'm not a new player I have all adults. Sometimes play smarter not harder is all I'm gonna say. Had 4 pachys on me by a hc out menuvered them and got in.
