@@Thundersz I don't think an open and fair discussion requires both to be equally knowledgeable. I also believe he didn't mean fair in the sense of both parties being equally knowledgeable. I believe he 100% meant that you should be able to talk about anything and the right idea will win. It doesn't matter how much more you know about slavery or eugenics the less educated people will make the right decision that it's wrong.
Now, I think he was being a bit more open and honest in his views when he spoke about Joe and that he just didn't want certain people to have a place to speak openly. I believe once it got to the 20 minute point and they were talking about government he started thinking of his ideals and spoke from there. He seems like the kind of guy who may have trouble following his morals and ideals from this video.

In this way it's irresponsible to platform these people because they are spreading misinformation without any pushback.

I do understand your overall point though and maybe for something more complex or less well known it WOULD change people's minds. If it's something where what's right and wrong is harder to identify then that's a situation where someone is more likely to have their minds changed. Here I would personally say nobody is wrong for creating a platform for more information. Maybe someone comes up with the wrong answer from the facts given to them but I don't think it's wrong to let them speak about it. Newton, as an example, came to the wrong conclusion on gravity but I don't think it was wrong to let him speak on it.
