Seriously, that was totally epic... 100% agree. I kept thinking it was gonna end and it was 12min of extremely illuminating theory. Loved it. Happy playing mate.
Matt is easily one of my favorite guitarists/songwriters and most heavily influential artist in every sense of the word. Having met him a couple times, one can't help but notice what a great person and gracious/humble guy he is. Thank you for recognizing a highly underrated and all too often over looked musician, who has provided the soundtrack to my life time and again.
Cannot help but smile when you guys cannot take the grin off your faces when each other is playing, those things never change when anyone hears someone playing tasty, I love that about playing guitar , cheers guys !!!!!!!!
Oh,,,my Guitar-Playing World just got a whole lot brighter! Just discovered this show, after checking out some of Tim's other fantastic videos. Pete is somebody I have absolutely been a fan of for years and years. I am hard-pressed to think of two more honestly down-to-Earth, more sincere, more talented guitarists than these two. Such inspiration!!!
Gees guys I love this show, episodes just don't come round soon enough. I could listen to this stuff all day and never get bored. YT needs a 'Love' button!
I love your show, there is not another one like it, and I don't ever want you to stop making these!!! Awesome guys, just awesome! Kinda like vicariously hanging out with you dudes and chatting guitar, and pedals, and all the best conversation a guy could ever have around the topic that I just love more than anything else on earth, except, I don't chat, hah hah I just listen... which is awesome too! Keep it up!
Really enjoying Tim & Pete's Guitar Show! Thank you so so much for this episode and exposing everyone to the beautiful workmanship of Gil Yaron's guitars. I anticipate his orders will skyrocket shortly! Also, a tip of the hat to Matt Scannell. Have been a Vertical Horizon fan since the early 90's and love his melodic songwriting and tasteful guitar lines. Another GREAT show as always. Keep 'em comin'!!!
I absolutely love your videos! I learn so much from both of you, and your guests, then "borrow" everything I can and make it my own. Whether it's guitar playing, gear selection, attitude or recording technique, your show gives so much back to your fans and the music community. Thank you and be well.
I so look forward to these posts. I am inspired by both of you and every time I watch you two play together I learn so much about the instrument I love so much. Thank you Tim and Pete!
this is yet another GREAT episode of Tim and Pete's Guitar Show. I'm not a luthier or in any way into building guitars myself, I only play them, but it is so interesting and inspiring to see someone like Gil talking about his work, he is so passionate about it, it's awesome! Thanks for this!!!
Yes! You're back! You guys are incredible as usual. I always laugh at how humble Pete is with his own abilities. Tim's complex simplicity is so inspiring.
Hey how about making us WAIT EVEN LONGGGGGGGGGGER for the next episode of this fab show.... TOTALLY JOKING!!! What a hellish four week wait, guys! Thanks for uploading this!
Epic show guys! Great playing and thanks for having Gil Yaron on. I don't know much about his guitars, but I do know they're in high demand and not inexpensive. Have a great tour in Europe, Pete.
Always fun to see you guys playing and talking about the concepts. I love Tim's melodic approach, he has always been one of my fave's and I must admit that Pete really blows me away as well. Thanks for being there for us
Another fantastic and entertaining show guys. Well done! Have a great summer. Gil Yaron was a passionate and charismatic guest. That Kalamazoo story had me in stitches.
THANKS TIM & PETE..Wow, watching this for under an hour just enhanced my thought process when playing ..Using simple phrases, riffs Changing positions up the neck using the same pattern brings new melodic sense and a higher level of playing.. Breaking down the BJ Runaway solo is an example of this,( I think) GREAT job !!!
Super, super interesting stuff from start to end. Loved this episode... especially the thoughts on improvising with reckless abandon and getting into the right head space to allow yourself to play freely. Thanks so much! Alex :)
Tim can you talk about ALOT about you right hand technique, you guys could do a whole show on this, lots going on there!! Love it THANKS Tim and Pete, Love it !!! Cheers
This is the best show on RUclips by far! Wish this is a weekly video. That Gibson story was the best. The Heritage brand guitars, I played one and OMG they are insane. I just can't afford it or I'd have one. We have a Heritage dealer here.
Tim, a question: 01:39 what are the 6 things you think about? you mentioned 3 of them as pentatonic, triads and simple melodies. what are the last 3 i was wondering. thank you for this, the best video i have watched for long time.
i love this show, you guys are really doing something great here. Just an FYI if you guys ever make it to Maryland I live about 20 minutes from PRS so if you need a free place to crash Ive got you covered haha !
Awesome video- great information. But that has got to be the coolest Hendrix framed picture on the back wall. Trying to find it, I want to buy that but never see anyone selling it.
Those guitars looked amazing Pete. I have a few hand made hobbies. One is a 56 Stratocaster made by Mike Detemple and I just bought three from an Italian (now friend) Agositino Guitars. I bought one LP, one Strat. and one T Type and they are all to die for. I think you would love them all Pete. Check him out if you get a chance. His prices are great and he is an amazing guy. Kind Regards
Tim, If you ever made a mistake playing Live, I don't think anyone in the Crowd would ever know.. LOL, You are so good at Guitar Playing, I wish that I knew things that you Forgot, Your the Best, Cheers, Cousin Figel
Could you go over more what you mean by the "9 and the 6" around 4:29... are those the intervals from the root? Thanks so much for these shows! Great vibe, stories, tips and jams!
what amp are you folks using to demo that Yaron H-H guitar? ... it sounds so good in all levels of clean/dirt (the killer playing by all of you certainly shines thru)
The first 12 minutes is one of my favourite lessons ever.
Thanks Tim and Pete.
Awesome!!! Glad you dig what we are doing
Seriously, that was totally epic... 100% agree. I kept thinking it was gonna end and it was 12min of extremely illuminating theory. Loved it. Happy playing mate.

I love you guys, you are so great and so normal as guitarists can be. Can't wait for nexts tunes. Rockon and stay tuned!! Cheers from Germany!
Great episode guys! Fascinating story told by Gil toward the end.
Tim seems like a guy who being good did not come easy to. He impresses me as being so intelligent and honest in his self assessment.
Matt needs his own episode. No doubt! The guy is brilliant!
The interplay between Pete and Tim is very informative and a great school of thought

Paul
thank you so much for this. the beginning lesson was fantastic. i had my teacher break down what you all were doing from the justin show.
This is the best show on RUclips by far! Wish this is a weekly video. That Gibson story was the best. The Heritage brand guitars, I played one and OMG they are insane. I just can't afford it or I'd have one. We have a Heritage dealer here.
I have seen that episode with Justin several times .. that intro jam sounds so good....
43:21 luv the reaction of the other two guitarists cracking up laughing in awe of Tim's playing :o)
Another great episode guys. Keep it up; really enjoyable!
Gibson needs to hire Gil to do. Special run of 52-54 with PAFs!!
I love your show. I appreciate what I perceive to be much higher video and audio quality on this episode. And, multi-camera shots. Nice...
Thanks guys really enjoyed that
Another great job guys!
Amazing. Thanks guys.
{ Awesome Tim, Great lead guitar playing starting about 2.18 minutes into the song. }
Love and appreciate both you guys for your music contributions via the net! Tim, take the money I spent on your course and hire a house keeper. LOL
These are all top pros, and respect goes to them, that said, Pete just throws down on a Les Paul/LP type.
awesome guys! Love you guys! Keep em coming!
Thanks Tim and Pete!
That was great - thanks!
Great stuff! Please keep it up!
great show ... great people...
Tim, a question:
01:39 what are the 6 things you think about? you mentioned 3 of them as pentatonic, triads and simple melodies. what are the last 3 i was wondering.

Beautiful playing Pete
Tim in full blown 'beavis & butthead' mode....
"I love big muffs"!😂
Keep up the great channel guys 👍
Killer episode!
Tim is to clean and to many tricks up his sleeve for these guys. Legend
I could have listened to stories from Gil for 2 more hours…Just great. (It reminds me that I need to get my real 54 LP functional again)
Wow! I would say "yes" you need to get that '54 going!!!!
+Chris Lester I just need to figure out who to take it to in LA :)
+Glenn Baren I haven't lived there since 2001. I used to go to Roger Giffen for that sort of thing bit I don't know if he's still out there.
Awesome video, thoughts about playing, and fantastic playing, inspiring stuff!!!. Would love to be able to own a Mr Yaron guitar one day.
Gil Yaron wearing that tapout sure makes me look at his guitars way differently.
i love this show, you guys are really doing something great here. Just an FYI if you guys ever make it to Maryland I live about 20 minutes from PRS so if you need a free place to crash Ive got you covered haha !
Somehow after listening to GIl, I just love each of my (few) guitars, just a little more.
Love The Comments About Jack White....Saw That Movie And Totally Agree
I love this show 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Tim, I love blending my OD And boost together, you get your own unique sound.
Epic material, I love the internet.
Awesome video- great information. But that has got to be the coolest Hendrix framed picture on the back wall. Trying to find it, I want to buy that but never see anyone selling it.
Hey guys, absolutely love the show! Where are episodes 3 and 5?
Those guitars looked amazing Pete. I have a few hand made hobbies. One is a 56 Stratocaster made by Mike Detemple and I just bought three from an Italian (now friend) Agositino Guitars. I bought one LP, one Strat. and one T Type and they are all to die for. I think you would love them all Pete. Check him out if you get a chance. His prices are great and he is an amazing guy. Sounds great .... ;0)
Thanks for sharing.

Very cool episode. ...
This was quite enjoyable
Could you go over more what you mean by the "9 and the 6" around 4:29... are those the intervals from the root? Thanks so much for these shows! Great vibe, stories, tips and jams!
flyboyinca you are correct, those are the intervals from the root of the key. I believe they were playing in D, so 6 is B and 9 is E.
Rocking!
I'm wondering, if I showed up in LA, hey Tim it's Chuck remember me, we talked you were going to show me how to play....lmao....great story...
what amp are you folks using to demo that Yaron H-H guitar? ... it sounds so good in all levels of clean/dirt (the killer playing by all of you certainly shines thru)
4:00 "hopefully keeps it interesting" LOL yes . . yes it does!
Pretty close to the same settings on my Boss eq. Still and always will be my favorite boost.
Yaron's instruments may become the new collector's burst.
