Hey, Post 10, just a suggestion, but I notice that you seem to go out on your treks without a bag of any kind. If you had a knapsack of some kind, you could carry stuff like your gloves, flashlight, a bag to throw trash in (so you wouldn't need to carry it in your hands like you were doing in this video) a water bottle, and very importantly, a small first aid kit. What with all of the types of things you are doing, often in remote places, having a basic first aid kit could come in very handy when you are on your own. What do you think? Keep up the great work, you are a phenomenal dude.
Hi! I wanted to tell you that we've just started a week-long period of rain (the weatherman says) here in the Chicago area. Last night was the first big downpour, and in the morning, it was impossible to get to the driver's side of the cars parked along the side of the street without walking through a mini-lake because the storm drains were all clogged. So I went to my trunk, got out my post 10-style rake, cleared the five storm drains on my block ("Whirlpool action!," I said out loud to myself more than once!), and YOU are the one who is responsible! Have you ever noticed how many other people post drain-clearing videos, and so many of the comments mention you? You make a REAL difference in a very positive way, so I just hope you know that!!
Don’t you just love it when you see them massive bubbles of water burst up when you first start to clear the drain! Very satisfying! Great work again, Post 10

Ahhh, those real bad down pours were the greatest intervention days back when I was a fire fighter... We got the main stream of our valley entirely in tubes under the town, and when the clouds get "stuck" (we have a low hill range and a river downwind both creating thermic turbulence that can back up storm clouds and make them stay longer over our valley) above the town, all man hole covers that aren't welded shut will pop off to relieve pressure to avoid the pipes breaking and washing out foundations in the streets. But that creates a whole different danger: water rises until about 30cm/1ft and some places double that, and as long as water rises, you can see where the holes are because of these geyser-like fountain bulges. But by the time that is over, we had to post people with each one to prevent disaster when the water flow reversed. At that moment, the surface is very still and you can't see where the holes are through the murky water, but the power of the water rushing back in the holes is huge. We weren't getting any closer than 2m (2 yards) because the current would be strong enough to suck a heavy adult in, and they'd pop out half a mile further, if they didn't get stuck somewhere in the tube, with survival chance 0%. Floods are equally cool as fires, but they are also equally dangerous! The worst flood storm I ever had as a fire fighter, we had 144 emergency calls in 1 hour, and it took us 17 hours to get them all done. From flooded basements and washed out gardens covering the street, to blown-off roofs and the evening news truck stuck in a flooded street. We saved them journalists last, because they had actively ignored our instructions not to enter a closed down street. They were so furious hahaha. Shouting that we had to tow them. We took the bull horn to inform them that we did not intend to drown our carburetors too just because they had been so stupid to do that. Sucking flood water into your engine is a sure kill hahahaha. The people have the right to obey voluntary rescue workers' instructions and be thankful for their sacrifice. =) Good on you for making that sacrifice, to help the general public on streets that aren't looked after by inhabitants.

A long time getting home that night. Plus my husband wasn't thrilled what I had done to our brand new car. Oh well, as he is fond of saying. 😁

Love your videos post! Keep up keeping the roads clear and clog free
This man is doing Gods work.
Nice ferns. Our woods have so much under growth you can't walk through them. This was fun to watch. Thanks.
Imagine driving down the road, seeing a flood and Post 10 emerges from the woods with a rake. Day made.
God bless you Post 10. You are making a difference. Safe travels to you.
Hey post, just letting you know that most paper cups are not biodegradable. Many are lined with polyethylene, a thin plastic layer that even makes recycling hard. Love the work you do, just something to keep in mind for the future
Silly me, I was thinking wax..but it's the 21st century, not a 1960's church basement luncheon cup.
I get a great deal of satisfaction from your videos. I cannot estimate the satisfaction you must get from doing these good deeds. Well done, Sir!
You should start putting notches on the rake handle for every drain you unclog
Ha! He wouldn't have a handle left!
‘I do it because I enjoy it’ - you’re a legend and I like you 👍 we seem to find similar things satisfying 😊
