I didn't think I was there that long ago, but I definitely didn't see that Lara bar box! I love that store and the people. That store is the only way we get to eat certain foods at all.
We made our trip as a family this afternoon. We loved it but definitely pay attention to the dates, I wanted to so badly do the P3 snacks but I couldn’t due to being out of date. Our two year old caught salmonella last year and I can’t bring myself to do anything far out of date. But we found organic chocolate chip ready to bake cookie dough for $1.99 and frozen jimmy dean sausage for a good price too! Definitely will be going back because we fell in love with the seasoning and spice collection! 😊
Good for you! I'd have a hard time shopping anywhere else! I haven't found anything like that here, in Colorado. We have found a couple discount grocers, but nothing that amazing.
What a great place!! I love the Amish Stores we have here in Iowa. Wonderful variety, high quality foods & unbelieveable value!! You're so fortunate to live that close. I live a little farther away from my favorite places to Amish shop, but that just makes it more of a treat when I do go. And regardless, it's super well worth the trip!! You bet!! As I was filming they were following me around a little, super curious as to what I was actually doing. I tried to explain that it's not like a video call where you guys respond right away and that I'll go home and edit the footage and post it like a short movie. Still confusing because those concepts are all pretty foreign.

Our Amish owned store is very much like your store but is divided into a few separate markets. The discounted foods and bulk items are separated and owned by different individuals. Like you we have people that travel for many miles to shop. I feel blessed to have their businesses in our area. These are the "Mom and Pop" stores that the "Big Box Stores" will not close down. Hahahaha I agree. We go there weekly and have only ever accidentally picked up something bad twice. And given how inexpensive it was we didn't care at all. They would happily replace anything spoiled.

I live about 2 hrs away. But we have a couple little Amish stores around us. They don’t have as many deals. Since our area near bowling green is a lot more commercialized. But I still shop there as much as I can.

We have a Mennonite store about 20 miles from us, then there is another Mennonite store that is 25 miles South of it. The Amish store is 40 miles from us. Last year we would go to all three stores about once a month on Saturdays to see what bargains we could find. The closest one we frequent more often.
Yes some of them are more advanced and others are a lot more rustic. We have a rustic produce market close to us too and it's only open from June to Sept. I doubt they would allow me to film, I don't know them well at all.

It's really getting hard around here but we're old and not up to moving to another state. One of my daughters lives in Oregon and my other one lives here. Side note: would it be ok to put regular coco butter on chewies GROWING udder i noticed yesterday when i was doing a check that she was getting chapped. Palmers Coco butter and shea butter is all i have on hand at the moment. So i thought about wiping her off with a sensitive skin baby wipe and putting some on her, just wanted your opinion first
Yes anything safe for your skin should be safe for her. I don't know why coco butter would hurt anything!! Just make sure to not clog the teat openings with it! ♡♡ I'm so excited her udder is coming in!!!
This store is seriously unbelievable to me. I looked at buying a little pack of goat cheese a couple weeks ago and if I remember correctly it was at least $5
