Voiceplay is terrifyingly good at what they do

They are amazing aren’t they? I love that they produce, arrange, do lighting and costumes on their own. Geoff’s wife Kathy also helps especially with makeup and costumes. They reinvest themselves into their studio and control the art themselves. They are magical! I also love that they tend to do edgier music! Thank you!

You don’t need to obscure their videos. VoicePlay likes reactors and they won’t harass you. Also: they are independent so there’s no label to get an attitude.
I love their covers of Valhalla Calling, In The Air Tonight, Nothing Else Matters and Dream On.

Unfortunately, people not even involved in production or distribution can make claims against videos, and RUclips algorithms may not account for VoicePlay's wishes either.

      @@aubriestarks2242
There is literally no one except VoicePlay that has any right to make a claim. I think pausing is all that’s needed to keep RUclips’s algorithm happy. At least, that’s what other reactors have said.
But there are literally hundreds of reactors using their vids unaltered. I do believe it’s safe. 🙂

    • @aubriestarks2242
      @aubriestarks2242 Год назад

@@Gael4ce Yes, I know that only VoicePlay has the *right* to make the claim, but that won't stop others from doing so. Angry Joe Show deals with stuff like that all the time. But, you're absolutely correct - it should be safe to simply watch it normally when reacting.

They are very very good. They dropped Phil Collin's "In the Air Tonight" or "Valhalla Calling." Another one with Anthony is "Creep." You will see the difference in Eli and Cesar (the two on the table). Great reaction.. and so many people don't mention when Anthony "Song birds" but it is one of my favorite parts.

All of them have crazy ranges. Eli, the main tenor (sitting just left of center near Layne, the beatbox) has a crazy rock tenor.. but in a pinch can sing normal bass notes. Right of center, Cesar, the other guy that you said has pretty much the same range as Eli - is their baritone, but he took the high note in Dream On. Practically, that means the harmony lines weave through each other, and no one 'stays in their own lane.' It gives them a fluidity that is rare in acapella. And of course, Geoff, the bass, has 5 octaves of his own...and Layne has a beautiful singing baritone, but a vocal range to back his beatboxings that goes both higher and lower than Geoff. None of these guys are to be messed with, but they typically yeild to the artist they bring in to collaborate with them, as they did here to Anthony and his beautiful voice.

I cannot stop watching reactors getting broke by this song...this song broke me as well. Geoff Arranged this one and they just seem to get better with each cover they do!! I just do not know how they do it. There are no words at all. And Anthony has the voice of an angel with all those runs...OMG!!! Just a side note...every sound you hear was made by their mouths. There are no instruments at all!!

  • @Traci2000

No kidding about the level of talent with these guys! Try their "Valhalla Calling" for an epic (and fun) Viking song. I can't remember what all you've seen from them but they've done so many amazing songs lately. Metallicas "Nothing Else Matters" and from Phil Collins, "In the Air Tonight." All truly amazing.
Also, since I just saw your reaction to Adam Lambert singing Chers "Believe" if you haven't seen him sing "Who Wants to Live Forever" live at the Isle of Wight festival yet, that's a can't miss performance!

I am very old, had never heard of this song, but it doesn't matter. Voiceplay is phenomenal!! I loved it instantly. And speaking of what to react to next? They drop their new one today at noon eastern time. It is absolutely NOTHING like this, and absolutely wonderful. Trust me!
Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff!!
Anthony in the center is something of a Tik Tok sensation. He has been singing professionally since he was 7. I love that bit when you called song bird where he did that insane high riff and then passed it off to Eli (ellie). Next:
Hoist the Colours - will show the difference between the first two singers
    Creep - have tissues
Golden Hour - weird, creepy, sweet, and romantic
Drunken Sailor - today, hysterically funny

Yep, these guys are no joke. Amazing talent. 🙂
I see you already reacted to their "Valhalla calling" about 3 months ago. As you asked for suggestions about what to watch next from their catalogue, I'd support those who suggested Metallica's "Nothing else matters". And some more stuff from them, like Radiohead's "Creep", featuring Anthony Gargiula (pronounced "gar-jool-lah") again, or "Golden hour" (Anthony again), but also "I can't make you love me" ft. EJ Cardona, "The Dragonborn comes - Skyrim" ft. Omar Cardona (EJ younger brother), or, to get a radical change, "In the House of the Mountain King", a classical, instrumental piece for Orchestra from Edvard Grieg's "Peer Gynt" that they transformed into a hilarious, otherworldly, virtuosistic piece of music with no words but a whole lot of storytelling.
BTW... Geoff ("Jeff") Castellucci, the bass, has his own solo channel, and THAT is another rabbit hole in itself. You should really check that too. "Far over the Misty Mountain's cold" (from "The Hobbit - An unexpected journey") and its follow up, "I see fire", from "The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug" could be a nice introduction to his solo work. And remember, regardless of the appearance, ALL characters you see there are Geoff, with different costumes, makeups and whatnot. But it's always just him 😁.
You could also check his latest video, his rendition of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues". Pay attention to the details! 😉
Just subscribed in anticipation of more VP and GC. 🙂
    See you next time!

Sir, your reaction was wonderful as always. I love watching your eyes get big! Lol! But ive read all the suggestions yiu should really check by VP and i agree with all of them. Their newest one is Drunken Sailor and its hysterical! These guys have are amazing and in Valhalla Calling, Geoff hits a B0 3x and holds it once for around 12-15 seconds! Youll love the ride wuth them. They dress up for the characters in songs which shows their long background with Disney and they live in Orlando, Fl. Most backdrops are at their studio called Pattycake Studios. Hope to see you enjoy more of them along with us!❤

One thing I very much respect about Voiceplay... they always make sure to choose songs that make their guest singer sound fantastic! The guy you said is song-birding is the guest in this case.
    In my opinion...
    Best modern song - Good 4 U
    Most fun - Little Mermaid
Most dynamic - Hoist the Colors
Best bass showcase - The Dragonborn Comes

Isn't this amazing? Actually you have it a bit backward...The song is called Seven Nation Army. The original artist is White Stripes. And cute story.....the name of the song comes from Jack White's inability to say "Salvation Army" when he was a little kid, and he mispronounced it "Seven Nation Army". Somehow, a song developed around that mistake later, and the rest is history! Of course Voiceplay absolutely killed it! And Eli is channeling his inner Negan. This is brilliant :) Try listening to their cover of In The Air Tonight, Dream On...or honestly anything they do. Its all fantastic!
