I need to start telling Topps & Panini that I am a big time online breaker. I used to get massive hits all the time until breakers started getting all the loaded boxes.
Topps Chrome need the action shot pictures. These designed backgrounds are making the already unlicensed products look cheaper in my opinion. The designs reminds me of Leaf and Wild Card.
Yea the whole design of these cards and the realllllly wonky gigantic numbers on the front of their jerseys look horrendous. I understand that you work with what you have and it’s better to have a wemby rookie auto with no Spurs logo vs no wemby rookie auto at all, but they could have done some market research on how these look before diving in lol
Oh yeah those are easy to see too! lol But i heard it doesnt affect the grading. Ive seen FAT print lines on PSA9s. IMO thats an auto 8 or lower, but, thats why i dont get my cards graded.
Because they probably brought them into the studio to do a photo shoot specifically for those close ups. They can’t bring every NBA player in for that.
Because Caitlyn Clark is in the WNBA and sign exclusive rights with panini and Jordan has exclusive rights to upper deck . Upper deck will take you to court if you order too many boxes without their blessing . So I could only imagine the kind of stuff they would do for Jordan

I was never a believer of Panini sending juiced boxes to breakers, but there’s not a doubt in my mind Fanatics is doing it. They control it all. They can make it that every hobby box they print goes directly to breakers and breakers only. They will somehow have some kind of partnership w/ the big breakers (which I know would be illegal) and then it’s a wrap

I've been collecting since the mid '70''s.I got my 1st baseball card set for my birthday in 1976.I've been buying packs on my own since 1980, and I have never gotten any top card like that EVER.I got a lot of Lebron rookies, but I was buying a ton of packs back then, hundreds of packs, and I had a friend that went with me every week, and we would clear the Targets, Kmarts, and Wal-Mart's out, every week.We also hit the two Hobby stores in town.This guy definitely got juiced boxes.

That Wemby is HUGE! Congrats! I see so many people complaining that all the influencer boxes have a Wemby... Think about it. To make the money that they wanted to get for this it HAD to had some allure. If Wemby was hard to pull, most would give up and leave it sit on the shelf. I think they just took a play out of Panini's playbook and just front loaded the boxes. There are a TON of Wemby autos on Ebay right now. It makes sense because this product itself alone does not.
I know it’s early, but I just looked up the comps for Victor’s autograph in top chrome, and I definitely didn’t see anything like PackMan got! I think you got at least 8,000 to $12,000 card starting and possibly going for a lot more as the year goes along. CONGRATULATIONS @Packman happy for you!!!

Most look bad without license, but there are certain cards that people will buy. I don't like the baseball ones, but certain ones look cool so I buy them (singles). Just depends on the pictures, border parallels, autos, etc.

I would be worried about putting the card in the soft sleeve so "quickly". Also, for long term storage on chrome cards, a standard size top sleeve is terrible. It could eventually stick to the card, once the soft sleeve is put in a top loader. I would get a thicker soft sleeve, like they use for jersey cards, along with the top loader and then put your really good standard hits in those. Much less chance of doing any damage to the card because there's more room. (The soft sleeve is maybe 1/16th of an inch wider, total; with the top loader being the same width, but more room inside, so that it doesn't press up on the card.)
