So you’re saying that the disparity in color accuracy in the selfie shot at 1:40 is a limitation of the lower res screen and not the camera hardware/software?
Actually in 11 pro, when you turn on portrait mode you can tap the 2x button on lower left corner and it will have the exactly same 1x (zoomed out) as iPhone 11.

I just have one question : why does apple say on their website that the iPhone 11 has 2x optical zoom if it doesn't ? I found this in the comparison part where I compared the 11 to the 11 pro
The only difference was that the 11 has 5x digital zoom and the 11 pro has 10x digital zoom
So does the 11 have 2x optical zoom then ?

Definitely go for the regular 11! The 11 Pro camera is not “better” in really any way
They are the same that’s why, the only difference is that the 11 doesn’t have the telephoto lens that does the 2x zoom. Apart from that the main camera and the wide camera is identical on the 11 and 11 pro

The iPhone 11 pro can zoom out to the same distance while taking portrait shots by tapping on the 2x button in the left corner and it will switch to 1x

Thank you so much! Your video of the review of these cameras has probably been the best I have found and I’ve been looking at videos all day.
One thing that you did not mention is that iphone 11 pro has dual optical image stabilization resulting in far smoother (but not over the top) videos compared to the regular 11 which has single ois only. So when you're really into video and also walk around a lot while shooting, the pro will definitely serve you better. But overall really good comparison, was very helpful.

Function-wise, both phone cameras did well w the shots. Had to strip off the tele lens as I'm going to get the the regular 11 by end of this year. 11 pro is a bit tight on my budget. Thanks for this helpful review.

Great job covering the differences or almost lack thereof. I like the option on the pro model to take wide portrait shots since the telephoto lens can make it difficult to frame the shot.

You can use the standard lens on the Pro to frame portrait shots... There's a setting. That's the whole reason I got the Pro instead of the 11

I’m thinking when Deep Fusion is released it will improve the digital zoom photo quality on iPhone 11 even greater. Which makes the iPhone 11 a better buy. A zoomed in comparison between iOS 13.1 and 13.2 could be interesting.

Finally! a proper review for portrait mode! im a heavy user for portrait mode on the back camera, and ive been seeing the differences of the phones not having that zoom when you go on portrait mode. And seeing the differences of these comparison made me have a better understanding to what phone i more prefer. I like the 11pro more! mainly because of the portrait mode, you can see the difference that its more defined and sets a realistic outcome compared to the 11 that looks kind of like "fish lensed"? ur face is more stretched in that it doesnt represent what you really look irl.

Iphone 11 pictures looked lighter . Pro pics looked warmer.
He told that in the end of the video. It's OLED display of 11 pro with more ppi which makes any video, picture or for that matter even youtube videos look better. When the same pictures are taken out for editing in the PC you won't be finding any more difference
Samina Chin Khan yeah but if it was just the phones display you would assume that once he takes both of those pictures and puts them into a video that I’m watching on my iPhone 8 they would look the same, since the actual pictures he shared in the video are taken off of the phone, he didn’t take a picture of the picture shown on the phones display

The thing I like is that the iPhone 11 uses the normal wide and the ultra wide camera for portrait, it’s nice because you get a wider background of blur and a more focused subject which just looks beautiful

@@Jaebird82 On the iphone 11 you can only shoot in wide angle mode, where as the 11 pro can shoot both wide angle and zoomed in, and he only showed the zoomed in version for some reason
