    It's not smart way of store energy. There should be battery stations to store and release power. These water reservoirs are inherently unsafe and need a lot of lands.

      Well, they got lots of unused land on that particular area...
      And its not to store rainfall water, unlike 3 gorges dam.

      Many EU countries have been using this method to generate power and saving alot of money. Do you even understand how it works?

      @@suckmemore I am. This is the old method and a completely waste energy from the whole cycle. It only takes advantage of peak or none peak which is price difference. The hydro power will be used to pump the water plus power lost in the system. Basically it is a complete waste time effort from energy balance perspective. Given the new technology available, there are many other ways to store energy.
