And there's no idol who suit the most for Eugene's role in here excelt Seohyun. She's part of SM, so did S.E.S so she naturally practicing and look up S.E.S as her role model since she was trainee as lil kid. And Eugene itself was so grateful and happy Seohyun take her role bcs it was their own Seohyun and ofc she did a great job. Our golden maknae always giving her best and always work hard eventought at the time she's also busy with her musical activities.

Bada said in an interview that Seohyun often studied Eugene's moves and singing in old SES performance videos, even though Seohyun was busy with her musical. Bada is the one who suggested Seohyun play Eugene's role in this. So Seohyun did it, with Eugene's blessing. Seohyun was fully aware for what she was doing, why she was there, so acted accordingly, which should be another thing to compliment. Plus, people who attended this event also said Seohyun did a good job. Finally, SES trio has invited Seohyun to their SES chatting room as a 4th member after this memorable event. :) Love both SES and GG!

nanaphew - I grew up with SES! My first kpop girl group! I'm still remember the lyrics and dance steps. Lol! They are the one who got me into kpop! Ever since they disbanded, I'm starting to careless until Blackpink debuted.
Wasn't luck, it was a careful and deliberate choice by the other two members, because Eugene was indisposed (being something like 6-7 months pregnant at the time). Seohyun had the right looks, the dance & vocal skills, the right clean image, and was an SM labelmate. As a mature, professional, and experienced performer, if she was starstuck by working with her seniors, she didn't show it on stage!
I love Seohyun no matter what people said badly about her. She tried her best here. It's not easy to fulfill people's expectation for such a great legend.
seohyun did a great job here. starting from 3:11 you can hardly hear shoo's voice but seohyun kept singing. she got exhausted but still she tried to sing. i'm not blaming anyone. its understandable that its hard for shoo to sing while dancing because of her age and she's not a main vocalist. of course it would be great to see eugene here but seohyuns effort should be appreciated.

Having followed Kpop since H.O.T. and S.E.S. days, I can tell you that nothing today comes close to the nostalgia that the 90’s kpop music creates. Even without social media, they were HUUUUGE all over the world. Today’s kpop bands are more skilled and perfect in every way (IU and Gfriend fan here). But bands today don’t have the magic that SES had.

i really cry when i watch this infinite challenge, this remembers when i turn a kopper when i was 9 years and now past 9 years, i really love the "old" kpop, the QUEENS OF KPOP ARE THIS LEGEND'S SO CHAN WHEE, UHM JUNG HWA, LEE JUNG HYUN, LEE HYORI TOO, S.E.S, FINKL AND ALL OTHER'S OLD GIRL'S GROUPS AND SOLO QUEENS I REALLY HOPE THIS SONG STILL FAMOUS FOR MORE 100 YEARS!!!
I'm a 60 year old British-American guy who only discovered K-Pop by accident in 2019, through Sisters' Slam Dunk and then Girls Go To School, so everything I've learned about K-Pop has been through SNSD, and their various interview references to 1st Generation female stars such as BoA, Chakra, Baby Vox, ( and 2nd/3rd and 4th Gen stars too), as well the early male idols like G.O.D and Shinwa. So because of SNSD's mentions of them, I checked out S.E.S. What a fantastic trio! They apparently didn't get to be called "The Nation's Girl Group" as SNSD was, but that's effectively what they were, in the late 90's early 2000's. Bada is a great singer, S.E.S harmonize so well, I love their stage fashion and musical style---its often 'cute' but not excessive ( like SNSD's 'Kissing You' which IMHO is objectively nauseating as an MV, but paradoxically delightful live in concert). S.E.S are just charming, properly beloved, and having Seohyun fill-in for Eugene makes an artistically and genuine mutually-respectful connection between these two rightfully influential girl-groups--both of whom challenged, and actually countered, the dominance of male groups in their respective eras ( and both of whom, I think, helped break down male chauvinist norms). But apart from the socio-political influences of S.E.S and SNSD...well.. they are both beacons of delight and positivity in a difficult world( I'm not discounting the many examples of male artists doing the same, I just can't help really enjoying women being being independent of entrenched male chauvinism---thanks to my non-conformist mother, and my father, who statistically should have grown up to be an asshole, but wasn't. (Which is why they married 6 weeks after meeting, and stayed in-love until they died). Anyway... never mind that last bit---S.S.S ( Sea/Bada, Seohyun and Shoo) is a good as the original S.E.S.
Man it's just beautiful to see how happy Shoo was performing here. That smile is as genuine as they come and truly infectious. Huge love for S.E.S to this day! WE LIKE S.E.S Y'ALL!

Wasn't luck, it was a careful and deliberate choice by the other two members, because Eugene was indisposed (being something like 6-7 months pregnant at the time). Seohyun had the right looks, the dance & vocal skills, the right clean image, and was an SM labelmate. As a mature, professional, and experienced performer, if she was starstuck by working with her seniors, she didn't show it on stage!

seohyun did a great job here. starting from 3:11 you can hardly hear shoo's voice but seohyun kept singing. she got exhausted but still she tried to sing. i'm not blaming anyone. its understandable that its hard for shoo to sing while dancing because of her age and she's not a main vocalist. of course it would be great to see eugene here but seohyuns effort should be appreciated.

Having followed Kpop since H.O.T. and S.E.S. days, I can tell you that nothing today comes close to the nostalgia that the 90’s kpop music creates. Even without social media, they were HUUUUGE all over the world. Today’s kpop bands are more skilled and perfect in every way (IU and Gfriend fan here). But bands today don’t have the magic that SES had.
Legends covering Legends. SES really love snsd, just the fact that Bada particularly asked seohyun to be in charge of Eugene's part is touching. We all know that Eugene is irreplaceable but Seohyun did a really good job in covering her senior.

I'm a 60 year old British-American guy who only discovered K-Pop by accident in 2019, through Sisters' Slam Dunk and then Girls Go To School, so everything I've learned about K-Pop has been through SNSD, and their various interview references to 1st Generation female stars such as BoA, Chakra, Baby Vox, ( and 2nd/3rd and 4th Gen stars too), as well the early male idols like G.O.D and Shinwa. So because of SNSD's mentions of them, I checked out S.E.S.
What a fantastic trio! They apparently didn't get to be called "The Nation's Girl Group" as SNSD was, but that's effectively what they were, in the late 90's early 2000's. Bada is a great singer, S.E.S harmonize so well, I love their stage fashion and musical style---its often 'cute' but not excessive ( like SNSD's 'Kissing You' which IMHO is objectively nauseating as an MV, but paradoxically delightful live in concert). S.E.S are just charming, properly beloved, and having Seohyun fill-in for Eugene makes an artistically and genuine mutually-respectful connection between these two rightfully influential girl-groups--both of whom challenged, and actually countered, the dominance of male groups in their respective eras ( and both of whom, I think, helped break down male chauvinist norms).
But apart from the socio-political influences of S.E.S and SNSD...well.. they are both beacons of delight and positivity in a difficult world( I'm not discounting the many examples of male artists doing the same, I just can't help really enjoying women being being independent of entrenched male chauvinism---thanks to my non-conformist mother, and my father, who statistically should have grown up to be an asshole, but wasn't. (Which is why they married 6 weeks after meeting, and stayed in-love until they died).
Anyway... never mind that last bit---S.S.S ( Sea/Bada, Seohyun and Shoo) is a good as the original S.E.S.
