Dick Faggotson Gogeta basically consents to that hit since he’s also punching Broly there. In terms of Broly actually landing a blow on him, Gogeta doesn’t let him do any damage.

110% the best part was when gogeta entered the battle and the soundtrack was essentially shredding guitar and shouting their name over and over
Gavriella Rutigliano I hated that personally. It was so out of place and like.... weird. Almost like a type of cringe but not really. Idk how to explain it but I just didn’t like it. I know a lot of people got hyped over it but it just wasn’t for me.

When they punched into another dimension it was so epic. And the fight wasn’t your usual moving so fast you can’t see it replaying the same block punch block punch animation, you actually saw every punch every kick, everything
The best part about them punching so hard they tear into another timespace had to be when i watched it in theaters and the entire theater changed color cause of how different that scene was colored.
I really agree, but i feel like thats ultimately toei animations fault for repeating fight scenes. But the choreography was THE best it has been in a while.
I can honestly say I've never seen an anime fight have a first person view before this movie.

I think the one time CGI was completely justified was when reality literally got shattered and the entire sequence during that is pure CGI. They were so strong they punched each other into the third dimension.

Nnnn... not really. Fighterz had more squash and stretch to its models’ benefit, this movie didn’t really utilize that at all from what I saw.

They will just use the same animation style like how they changed one piece's art style, but this level of production should only and only be in movies or else every single animator in Toei will die from exhaustion. We don't want that now do we?
@@HullsColby No one said anything about it being as good as the movie's. There are various levels of top quality which mainly include frames being extended and Goku not turning into someone else every tenth frame on the screen. The quality is barely 720p and there's ALMOST no backgrounds that are different or actual good quality, it's just C-anime quality when it should be A-quality, not looking for S-tier quality, just good quality.
In fact One Punch Man Season 1 looked amazing and it has nowhere near the same budget. Almost all the episodes of DBS are C-quality with some characters just completely changing height and stature or just something being forgotten on a character. Might as well just call it Dragon Ball slightly better animation than GT except for a few fights that are actually up to date with actual animators that know what they're doing
The Tournament of power and The Goku black Saga will probably be you're favorite ones if you do start watching Super

Yeah.... Dragon Ball Super is good, but it really took awhile before it got there.
Edit: Don’t get me wrong, I loved the series, and think many are to harsh on it at least in animation (Seriously, those poor people had only what? A few weeks in between episodes at best? Plus many were focus on other anime movies projects at the time, so they had to hand it off to other companies to do it (or so I’ve seen)). The story isn’t that great and while Dragon Ball has never been one for story, I feel like it just had more potential. With all, but guaranteed rumor that the series coming back, I’m absolutely sure it will be better this time around. Especially with the out of nowhere success of the movie.
Well that's good to know. The beginning was so horrible though i don't think ill ever be able to get there. But given this review, I might check this movie out at least.

The Universe 6 Tournament was decent and the ending battle hype
The Black Arc is fucking phenomenal. One of my favorite arcs in the entire franchise.
The Tournament of Power, while at points could drag, was a well-executed love letter to Dragon Ball as a whole.

i felt like the CG was a bit out of place in some parts . the first two times it appeared, it was fine, whatever
but the third time when it happened during gogeta vs broly fight, that one looked really bad IMO

The best part is there’s others parts were they used cgi over 10 times and you didn’t even notice 😁

The models, sure. But there were some parts that were really jarring from how realistic they were (the explosions and such, namely when Broly flips shit and it goes from the ice landscape to the lava landscape). Some of that shit looked like something out of Independence Day or some other grand action movie with "real" CGI
Hell, some of those shots looked even lesser, like a Budokai game.

Oh boy, just you wait until the tournament of power. It comprises about the final third of Super’s episodes so far, and, while not as good as the Broly movie for its entirety, I’d argue that some moments are better than any from the Broly movie, such as when Goku does that thing that I won’t spoil.

DBS really gets going during Universe 6 Tournament, and then Zamasu finally reaching peak moisture during the Tournament of Power. The animators were rushed for time during that shows run unfortunately but I'm hoping when it returns that it'll be more polished.

I really liked the announcer style of calling out the attacks. Like a real ringed match.

I swear when I go see dragon Ball movies in theaters, it's the most vocally fun movie experience. People are cheering, laughing and just getting hyped. But it never gets obnoxious, I have a great time with friends and meet new people to talk about Dragonball with.

Saw it yesterday and I have to say, it lived up to the hype it definitely tickled my fancy.
I felt the same way about cgi in anime, until I watched Land of the Lustrous. You should check it out, Charlie. Even if it's not your thing, you'd have to admit it's beautiful and very well animated.

It kinda does when I highly recommended it the first season is slow and the animation is bad but once you hit Purple Vegeta and Goku black after that the show gets 1000000% better I would recommend skipping the first 2 seasons since it’s like the Dragon ball god movie have fun with it!
Also the characters do say their attack moves there’s this one scene with Galik gun your 100% gonna love

I love that this movie can introduce you to Dragon Ball, and you would still get most of the basics. Also, fight scenes are PHENOMENAL

thanks to Dragon ball z i actually pushed myself in SwimTeam. in my last two years of high school. i went from the laziest troublemaker to breaking records and voted Most Outstanding. sounds dumb but its true. really it gets addicting once you start training hard. i use to eat 2 double deckers before and after practice. just like Goku ate a lot. my parents never believed in me. i would joke about being a laywer and my dad said You never could do that. nope. Akira Toriyama was more of a positive influence.

4:07 I'm so confused. I thought Goku and Vegeta DID shout their attack names in the movie when they were Super Saiyan Blue (in the English dub, at least).
They did, only once did a voice over shout kamehameha during a sound track, every other time was the characters so yea not sure what he is complaining about there haha.
Solid review. Only slight disagreement is I honestly enjoyed the way the soundtrack chants the names of the moves and characters; gave me Akira vibes to the max!

I think the reason for the strange voice dub was something like the voice actor's getting tired and exhausted from screaming everything they did so they brought others to do it for them
I love how they teased at goku going ultra instinct again, it shows how strong broly is since goku needs a high energy catalyst to trigger it
1:14 Original Broly want damaged with Goku crying.
Goku's cry was disturbing him but the whole experience as a baby that almost kills him was what damaged him. The event made him release that "legendary SSj state".
Goku's voice then was the trigger for that transformation recalling all the experience as a baby into his adult self. It was perfect man, common!
No it wasn’t, that’s stupid still. Gokus voice doesn’t sound remotely similar to him crying so that sounds a little like you are trying to explain it and make it sound better. The movie only shows Broly seeing Goku and then flashing back to him crying as a baby. With that argument, Broly should be mad at Vegeta because his father stabbed him in the chest and left him for dead.
