What a revelation. I’ve been a professional (all around) guitarist for decades and have not known about 'benders' til a few days ago. This gents' style here is so simple...yet so absolutely effective. I’m floored. Thanks for sharing this👍
I bought one of these from David last year. Bought a Tele with a 3-saddle bridge, to make it easier for my Luthier to install in behind the Tele bridge, and do a simple half moon cutout between strings 2 and 3. It's worked out well, and lately, although I have several other EG's, I've been using that EG at my church the last few Sundays. AND the strings stay in tune. The bender is made very well, and am happy and pleased with it. And David himself directly answered a few of my questions on and off via email, so very good customer service, something not real common in today's business world of music these days. And NO, David did not ask me to write this comment! ha ha. I just wish there were more Instruction Videos on it.

I'm sharing this with all my guitar-playing pals, not only to share the playing, but since we're all gear-nerds at heart, to share this neat pedal/lap steel emulation-between-licks device. Happily subscribed now also! Thanks for posting this Todd- rock on!

Thank you Sir!! I was pretty stoked myself. When i noticed some recording studios selling off vintage guitar amps i was intrigued as to what was happening.
Thanks for posting your video of the Certano bender. You have some cool chops and get a great tone! I'm seeing a lot of cool videos about this product, but have some questions that don't seem to get addressed: 1. As the G and B strings no longer route through the body, do you notice a difference in tension or tone? 2. Do conventional finger string bends feel different on the G or B string? 3. Does the Certano bender add much weight? 4. When you move the pitch bending "arms" out of the way, can you palm mute like you would on a conventional Tele? I'm concerned about having to adjust my right hand when the arms are moved away. 5. Can the arms be used when swung away (aka backwards) from the pickups? I do this often with my Strat trem to keep it out of the way of my picking hand.
@@davidp158 4. Yes. 5. Thats the only issue. It appears you cant really adjust them on the fly. So… forward to use them. And stop and readjust them out of the way if you dont need them.
@@toddlykins1092 Thanks for taking time to reply to each one of my pesky questions! I have one coming next Tuesday, and think this is going to be a fun tool. It's a great alternative to the Parsons and Glaser type benders. And agin, your playing and tones are killer!
Thanks friend! Ill tell ya it was really easy to incorporate into my playing style. I suppose the only thing that was awkward at first is that i like to palm mute on the bridge and that cant happen as to the placement of the benders. However its not a big deal really. You get used to it.
Great playing and tone. I know you can bend both the B-string and the G-string independently, and you can set it so you can bend each up a half tone OR a whole tone.
