Me and my little cousin would get pretty competitive on this game. This along with SA2, Snowboard Kids, Diddy Kong's Racing, ect. Back then, having family/friends was really the only way to get the most out of games.
So this is where Sonic Colors DS got the special stage theme... Very wrong wording, I meant it more as a "It kinda sounds like SC's special stage music in the beginning"
I can hear the similarities between the two - the reason why this theme reminds of SCDS's special stage music is because it's the same composer, Teruhiko Nakagawa.
I remember after school in the one hour I had before my brother came home from school, I would plug in two controllers and practice some combos and shit by myself so I could get good enough to beat him
I swapped the main Grand Metropolis theme with the 2 Player version on the PC version. I've always perfered this one over the main theme on Grand Metropolis.

This is such a wasted track. It reminds me how sonic 2 had alternate themes for its multiplayer. Then again, I think they were recycled from cut stages.
They were. Wood Zone used Emerald Hill's multiplayer, and Track 10 in the sound test was used for Hidden Palace. The other two were used for the Sand level and the Rock level.
@@drunkdrag0n Actually, there's evidence suggesting that Track 10 was intended for a cut cutscene, and that Mystic Cave 2P was always the intended theme, being used in Hidden Palace for a while in the prototypes even after most of the stage data was taken out. We also know thanks to the protos that Oil Ocean's final theme was almost certainly intended for the sand level and that Casino Night 2P was its original theme, plus there's evidence that the past Ocean theme was meant to use what became Sky Chase's theme.
I'll never understand how people don't like this game. Sure, it has issues and flaws but so do a lot of the most liked Sonic games, like Sonic Frontiers. That game has so many flaws and yet people really liked that game despite how janky it is.
Still feel like this is the embodiment of Adventure's soundtrack in a single song.
truer words have never been spoken
@Bennet Strampe that's not true, the car levels song sounds similar to this.
Sa2 still has a kick ass soundtrack way better then the soundtracks from post colours sonic
Sonic Adventure 1&2Battle is the HIGHT of the Franchise really
And of course All the Genesis

Yeah, I don't hear the similarities, unfortunately.
I can hear quite some simialrities of it but I'm not sure if it was intentional
@@bortverde It was. The special stage theme is remixed from this.

Thanks for uploading this. There is not many videos of this theme and the ones that are out there aren't HD.
What nostalgia is this? ;-;

sonic heroes adventure battle
Still feels like PS2 😢
The Best battle theme :)
I want this song in the game: SUNSET OVERDRIVE
“Want some mooorree?”
Sounds like a track from Mario Kart 8.
Me and my sister would only ever play Grand Metropolis and she would beat me sometimes
“Make beliefs reborn” 0:00
All seriousness, now I know what that beginning was re-purposed for:
That wouldn't sound out of place in a Virtua Tennis game
This gives me dbz budokai vibes lol
Team racing sounds like it
Can I find this on spotify
