Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

That was a great episode on JRE
i'm surprised to see how well this guy blends with any people around the world and never denies what people offers to him shows his virtue and respect to people's culture.
Ççç
@@user-wh5qv4dg6lthat’s why he’s even more respectful, bro eats anything he’s handed props to him Fr 😭
That’s part of his job? Imagine if he didn’t people give a little to much credit just because someone is popular.
lol it only shows a crazy guy can be respectful too
That’s how his channel supposed to be if you want to travel all over the world and make video about it.
The level of respect Sonny gives to every location he visits is just beyond exceptional. This man is the epitome of respect itself. I hope you find more success in life Sonny. Keep up the great content. I've been with you since you only had around 100k followers. It's nice to see your quality boom.
Very well said. This team is beyond good at what they do. ❤
Credit to him and his cameraman as well...
The one who does the editing too

I would argue he has found this success

I loved this Episode a lot. I'm going online to order some mad honey.
Well how was it?

I don't know how many episodes we are left in this Nepal trip but I hope Sonny makes a return trip in the future because this series has been one of his best showcases on the show!
I like the Japan ones but this ones in second
Thank you so much, this means a lot to Nepalese. 🙏
Iran ones my favourite
They should call this stuff "SONNY HONEY".😎👍
@@mrme123music Yeah, the Iran episode is one of my favorites too. Sonny has this one segment where he says "people are people and not their government." I thought that was a really poignant observation and I found it relevant even if you're living in your native country. Politics have a tendency to divide us but we're all still human at the end of the day and if you try to see those around you as friends instead of enemies then you'll feel more connected with those around you.
Better than Netflix, TLC, travel and Living channels all combined. The amount of information this guy os giving effortlessly is so good to see. Kiudos to Sony and his team. Keep it up bro
🤦♂️

I love how tolerant you are to so many people, different cultures, and foods. You have so much respect and love for people you met in your journey.
He can also handle with people of different political and social views, which I bet, something you can't do. Using the word "tolerate" is a red flag telling me you're one of those Western people who claim to be tolerant but cannot tolerate people of a different political view.
@@hoppinggnomethe4154 your little rant there tells me that you are the intolerant and confrontational one.
@HoppingGnome, you're right because politicians and religions are the causes of all the genocides through our human historical events. I don't tolerate with murderers and killers, but I do respect innocent people cultures and differences.

Props for the camera team for the phenomenal camera work during the honey harvest
Somewhere in the BBC there is a David Attenborough film crew having a dummy spit that they never got to go places like that, lol.
@@bjw4859 they did show us most other things so i guess we have to give them props too, they should have made a little bee camera lmao
I always imagine Sonny many years ago trying to come up with a channel name. He goes on to pick the silliest name ever but manages to live up to the name. This channel is simply the Best Ever Food Review Show. Great Job!!!
IKR
I've watched several of your videos, but I have to say that I am so impressed with the camera work and editing of this one. This is by far one of your best, especially given the remoteness of the location, it's resources, and the beauty of it.
Your videos are all insanely beautiful. I adore how you portray the originality♥️. Hope to see you again in Nepal 🇳🇵
I remember watching the mad honey documentary of Vice few years ago also Yes Theory made a video about mad honey but in Eastern part of Nepal. And finally it is introduced to Joe Rogan by Sonny. Im so happy that the mad honey is getting recognized all around the world.
जय नेपाल 🇳🇵
Yes theory's cinematography was wonderful right.
ew Vice...
Why are happy it’s getting recognised? All it means is that people from the western world are coming to Nepal to illegally harvest it without th villagers permission driving the bees to extinction lmfao
Nepal is BEAUTIFUL. I have been wanting to go to Japan and Vietnam since seeing how amazing of places they are. Now Nepal is on the list as well. Not many places in our world these days that has not been corrupted with technology and just being spoiled with all the modern things like air conditioners.
Welcome
TRUE. There is many places in Nepal where technology still haven't took over. But it is not so easy to get there.
Welcome to Nepal 🇳🇵
What’s wrong with air conditioners
Heartly welcome 🙏
This was one of the best BEFRS episodes ever, and I'm watching almost since the beginning! Amazing work, you just keep on getting better and better ❤️
You're a gem Sonny. You make us love our planet more and more with each video. Thank you for your show. Eternally hooked.
Nepal looks so beautiful!!! The honey hunters are living proof of how incredible human beings are - adapt to any tough conditions. Thank you BEFRS for another informative and inspiring story!
From Thailand 🇹🇭 Hello How is the weather there and the food there

From cali all we have cheeseburgers and pizza :(
And how amazing God is for creating such a pretty location and bees and hives with honey!
Great video thanks for sharing your knowledge on this honey from Nepal Godalmighty bless the people of this country ❤
Those honeycombs are true works of art! The level of respect that the locals have and give is beyond amazing. Sonny, once again, you and the BEFRS team knocked it out of the park! Thank you for introducing us to Mr. Madan, Mr. Bahadur, and Mr. Oangdi. I love how they explained everything about mad honey and I love how you filmed the entire process……Those rope ladders are no joke! The hunters are so agile. I had no clue anything like that even existed. Thank you for this very rare and very eye opening experience. Your bloopers at the end were hilarious! I love it when you get together with Joe Rogan. I cannot wait for the conclusion!
so sad to see most of that comb is baby bees, less than 50% honey. primitive systems
@@jaibusby673 yes but i think since it isnt mass produced and is a not so often occurring event the bees recover easily.
@@KelpyG. these are tough bees obviously with their outside hives, however no i doubt the recover easy I can see the amount of baby bees being taken, maybe they eat the larvae too hope they not just wasted.
My man, I LOVE your content. This is just another mind blowing and adventurous episode. You're one of a kind. Much love from South Africa 🇿🇦
I remember years ago just seeing short clips of this guy haggling with locals and checking out street food vendors. How far he's come is unfathomable. Beats the production value of most things put on tv.
I swear that each video amazes me more than the previous. The production quality, the insight into the culture, the way Sonny interacts with the locals, this is easily better than any National Geographic documentary I've ever seen... Kudos to Sonny and the team for such an amazing channel!

Nepal is a beautiful and natural diversity place You must visit NEPAL once in a lifetime.
9:05 You can see a bee stung him and keeps on attacking with its intestines hanging in the air, then a moment later another one coming in hot, also with hanging insides. Those are fierce warriors man! Never thought I'd respect the bees this much. I'm speechless by the collectors' courage to do this for 30 years. This is a golden documentary.
I wonder if it got whacked by the drone that is filming

I always tell people learn to appreciate what you have in life. You guys here in the states are privileged. You look outside then you will see real life situations
That would imply that these peoples culture is inferior or “worse” in some way. I see the people in these videos smiling, laughing, and being more joyful than most people I see in the states on a day to day basis. It’s a different lifestyle not better or worse.
wow that's great,, being Nepali I don't know how local harvest wild honey and seeing this video I really appreciate the great work and stunt performed by these brave.🤘🤟.. thanks for exploring such a nice culture of our country great job dear makers🙏

The cinematography for this video was next level
I never gave much thought to Nepal but this video is definitely one of the bigger eye openers for me. The way they gathered the honey is so dangerous that it's not even an exaggeration and the place is stunningly beautiful as well.

Awesome Sonny, thanks for being so humble with all the people & cultures you meet & visit ❤
The amount of a honey’s stickiness is correlated with how young the honey is. Bees spend an incredible amount of time fanning the honey to help dry it out. So thick honey is well fanned! 🐝😮
