Have a wonderful day! Наука
If we have nothing nicer at wwdc for iPad I’m gonna get one of this new Surface Pro’s! Tired of Apple Sh!t iPad software!
That’s what I’m saying! I only liked the iPad more for the battery life and performance. But it’s useless without good software. And this new surface really closes the gap
@@christianr.5868 and now they have 10 to 14h off battery, already picture myself playing games anywhere! Rsrsrs
Every year I hope for a better IpadOS, unless they lose market share to the next gen Elite X I just dont think they will.
it’s crazy to have such a powerful chip and be limited to tablet apps, the iPad Air could easily run macOS but Apple will never allow it!!
@@wakkowarner9522 agree. They will never make this, and they are going to loose loots of iPad clientes for that.
You skipped the differences.
The Surface Pro with OLED, 16GB RAM (twice the RAM of iPad Pro), and 512GB is $1349 on preorder right now (regular will be $1499). There is no 8GB Surface Pro. You can also save money if you don't need the OLED and are happy with IPS LCD. The iPad Pro with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage is $1299. To get 16 GB of RAM, you would need to get the 1TB iPad Pro model which is $1899. If you want the Surface Pro to match on RAM and storage, it would be $1529 on preorder or $1699 MSRP.
You could argue that there's not enough to do on iPad to warrant 16GB and that would be a sound argument.
You have a lot of options for keyboards and pens on Surface Pro. You can use an old keyboard or pen from a previous Surface Pro. You can get the $279 keyboard with slim pen, the $139 keyboard, the $179 keyboard with pen storage, or the new flex keyboard and pen for $449, or the flex keyboard without pen for $349. And you have the old pens and third party pens as well.
The new magic keyboard for iPad Pro is $349 and it wobbles like crazy (see lots of RUclips videos). And the Pencil is $129. $349 + 129 = $478. Last time I checked, $478 is more than $449 and definitely more than the $139, $179, or $279 or $349.
Thank you
It's simple: if you want a mobile operating system, mobile games, incomplete mobile apps, and many limitations for the price of a laptop, buy an iPad. If you're looking for a full desktop operating system, productivity, mobility, complete apps, and no limitations, buy a Surface Pro with Snapdragon X Elite.
Comparing iPad and Surface is a pointless endeavour that reviewers have been doing for too long.
They’re not the same category of device. I own both a surface pro and an iPad Pro. I haven’t touched the surface in years and use the iPad all the time. If I want to do desktop stuff I’ll use a laptop. Surface Pro is a terrible product - trying to do desktop on a tablet doesn’t work - and the kickstand is useless on your legs so it has to be on a table to use with keyboard.
Just get a surface laptop if you need to do desktop stuff. If you want a tablet for art and creative stuff get an iPad.
@@James-li7bi Why? Look, the iPad M4 has MacBook-level hardware and a MacBook price point. Only the software is different. The Surface Pro has Windows hardware, Windows software, and a Windows laptop price. With an iPad, you can draw and use the touchscreen. With a MacBook, you can use professional apps. But with a Surface Pro, you can do both. Why are Apple fans so obsessed with buying the same product twice at the same price but with different capabilities? 🤣
@@EibrahamCx yeah I fell for all of that too - surface pen, surface keyboard, surface dock.
The experience of drawing on a Surface isn’t even comparable to drawing on an iPad.
Microsoft completely failed at tablet and mobile software so they tried to make windows “mobile/tablet” friendly
Each to their own but the surface is a great example of why Apple should never put Mac OS on the iPad - it’s ok at being both but isn’t great at being either.
@@James-li7biI see a lot of reviews of the Surface Pen, and no one says it is worse than the iPad. They even mention that the Apple Pencil only works well with Apple apps, whereas the Surface Pen works perfectly with any app. Microsoft tried to make a tablet before, but they never attempted x86 emulation like they do now. And if the macOS/Windows UI is the problem, it’s simple: they just need to adapt the interface. Apple has already done this with iPadOS. Imagine running macOS with an iPadOS interface. On Windows, it’s also a very simple problem to resolve.
@@James-li7biEveryones use case is different. Mine was the complete opposite of yours, so I sold my iPad. The surface does every I can do on a desktop, and then some as a tablet. The iPad just doesn't do anything besides be amazing at entertainment. It was actually easier to do most productivity I needed to do on my iphone over the iPad since it's already a mobile device running mobile apps. iPad + iPhone or iPhone + laptop, still 2 devices for what I needed to do. Surface is just 1.
And it's weird how everyone brings up the surface on legs as if it's the definitive way to use it. Even the iPad with the keyboard isnt great using on your lap, it's just kinda better than the surface. That's not a huge milestone. "Laptops" are a complete misnomer, no one really uses them on their lap. Everyone uses them on surfaces.
If Apple doesn’t give iPad Pro something closer to a full MacOS…. It will be a hard sale. Mostly to artists that draws.
But artists and illustrators can work better on a Surface Pro with more complete professional apps, so the iPad is really just for people who, for some reason, specifically prefer an iPad.
@@EibrahamCx I'd argue that this new Apple Pencil Pro is better than the Microsoft Surface stylus. But maybe you're right. So yeah, the iPad Pro is becoming a harder sale than ever before.
For 1500 to run IOS I may switch to the surface pro ..and I have Apple everything
Fanboys will consume anything they release.
What do you use your tablet for? Watch youtube, entertainment. This is iPad, can't do s**t other than entertainment.
Surface is the clear winner here. Watching movies in tablet mode doesn't take that much elegance in touch experience.
You wanna know what more you can do?
Install Linux if you don't want copilot spyware.
iPad can't do that either.
I used an iPad professionally (photo, design, id) and it’s absolutely a work machine. Loved it.
I bought the M4 Apple iPad on release day with 1TB of space. Purely as an artist. It broke with the line tool, every other swipe. The basic line tool in Clip Studio Paint.
Traded in, tried a new pen in store- same issue. It’s across the board. Then, it crashed on me twice in one sitting without saving my work. My iPad 11 never had this issue. Not once.
Ordered a Surface Pro 11 instead. I’m over it with Apple.
If you’re wondering, “Why the attitude?”-
1. I’m not a beta tester for Apple. The Line tool is a basic function. I proved it was the hover function of the new pen causing it.
2. I reported it to Apple so they could patch it by phone, by app and the store: All of whom told me that they had no REAL contact to Apple.
3. I tried posting my issue to the Apple Reddit and they deleted my post.
I left Microsoft Products because they had weird business practices years ago. Now Apple has them too, but less to offer on the software end.
So back to Microsoft it is.
Can I run sketchup, photoshop, autocad etc. without any problem?
iPad pro (any M series chip) has become a very niche use case - somebody who needs to draw all day long with some media consumption breaks and some emailing and web browsing. Question is, how many of us need to draw all day, and even among those who do mostly use Cintiq because of iPadOS limitations for app-verse. So really, it down to a super narrow niche who need to draw on procreate all day. I have both, surface pro 9 and ipad pro...99% of the times I use surface pro, from note taking (because no note app allows 'ink to maths' etc except Microsoft OneNote), to emailing, to web browsing, to occasional drawing in Expresii and Rebelle 7... it does all this and equally snappy... It took them almost 10 iterations but it got to goldilocks finally with surface pro 9. Also, typing on the Microsoft typecover is so satisfying compared to magic keyboard for ipad pro. Clearly, ipad pro is not justified. It's not like the 'black looks superblack' or M4 chip make Netflix any different. Not to mention that new ipads are not backward compatible with any accessories. So it loses even more points. Ipad pros just doesn't make sense anymore
The iPadPro was created for video editors, photo editors, cartoonists, photographers, writers, interior designers, and a group of us who love to look ahead. This has been made clear upon EVERY single release. The iPadPro is not for everyone. If you are not a creator DON’T BUY IT. Trust me, they don’t want you to- it only causes problems when THE WRONG PEOPLE have THE WRONG PRODUCTS. All of this being said, you have absolutely no right even attempting to count how many people there are in the community that ACTUALLY WILL USE THIS- honestly, who the hell are any of you? If it isn’t something you will use then don’t buy it. Don’t attack the product though. There are tens of thousands of us who work in hundreds of industries that have been waiting for this technology- so seriously, fuck off.
One big reason to get a windows machine is playing some games that do not run on Mac. But their switch to arm may make it so that these games don’t run on these snapdragon chips either (like Path of Exile for example)
Very helpful comparison- I’m thinking of adding a cellular version of surface pro when it comes out
I currently have a iPad Pro and it’s great I don’t have a laptop just the iPad. That being said should I keep the iPad or return for a surface laptop 7 or surface pro 11 oled?
Go and try it in the shop. I got and iPad and there are many times I wish it would run a full operating system. But then again I got a pc already and will stay with my 2018 iPad Pro.
@@robertfussenegger9664And everything that runs on your 2018 iPad runs as well as it does on this new iPad with the m4, the most powerful chip apple makes, just 2 seconds slower on average. Linus tech tips compared the 2. He just grabbed a random iPad pro they had and it was a 2018. Just no reason for them to year over year highlight how much more power it now has, especially when the main reason for needing the m4 was to just drive the new OLED screen.
Return the iPad before time runs out you got 15 days to return it. Then try the surface pro. Then decide what to keep. I returned my iPad pro
@@cruisertechgt you getting surface pro ?
@@Johnmims65 not sure yet going to wait for reviews. its tough to decide when these devices cost soooo much
So which one yall recommend to buy the new one or pro 9? I’m saving money to buy one but I’m still indecisive
If you don’t need a wireless keyboard cover or an OLED screen I’d go with the much cheaper Surface Pro 9. For my neck I need to raise the monitor when I travel for work. I love the low weight. I’m happily going for the Surface Pro 11.
@@gwenandersen you forget about the battery life. Its 3x more than rest
@@iamlorex4786 dang. Do that one. That is an amazing improvement and the ability to go around all day w/o carrying a plug or worrying about it is huge. Thank you Iamlorex.

Always! Thank you for asking, too!
Oof. Uh, iPad M4 has Pro Apps. Meaning that there is always room for other applications and even platforms to be put into the Apple Store. Like Zbrush was one of the many that became a Pro App. It’s smaller in cache than the desktop version, but it does push the same qualities and even the high polygons very well with the M4 chip. This could even give room for gaming platforms, like Playstation, Nintendo, Valve and Microsoft to push their ideas over to Apple and for Apple to push to other platforms, too. This is the big move that should influence Sony and Disney to work with Apple with smaller applications to push big projects onto their own platforms but their partner companies, too. And even make game development more easier for the consumers to become developers themselves.
Apple may he working with what Windows is already working with, but this can help with Vision Pro, Mac OS and iOS technologies in a way that Windows have never attempted before and may even get them to follow what Apple is planning later on.
1300 for an iPad? I thought it was 4000$ for one with a reasonable size SSD?
Bad editing honestly, shouldn't keep cutting the view of yourself and specs of both devices, when I start read some information then you cut it to different shot.
I don't need to pause the video everytime because it's nice to watch you talking while reading those information
If you don't have either a laptop nor a tablet but you only want one device, then get the new surface pro.
If you do have a good laptop already and want a tablet as well then get a good tablet (galaxy s9 series, ipad pro, etc).
If you have a good tablet (M2 ipad, galaxy tab s8 series, etc) and no laptop
Then get the new galaxy edge4 laptop, macbook pro, etc.
This video is so full of holes when it comes to pricing and features on the Surface Pro. The Surface Pro gives you a lot more features for a lot cheaper than the iPad Pro. I noticed how you conveniently skipped or rush through the pricing and features that benefited the Surface Pro, just so you can make them seem more even. They are not. The new Surface Pro is literally better at everything other than running mobile applications, and it's a lot cheaper in every configuration. Plus, the Surface Pro is an actual laptop, so there is no need to carry around a second device. Unlike the iPad Pro, which all but requires that you have a Macbook around to get real computer work done.
I graduated from university over a year ago as an engineer. My first year in school, I realized that I needed a more portable computer. I compared the iPad Pro, Surface Pro, Galaxy Tab S, Macbook Air, and a few Windows Ultralights before choosing the Surface Pro. I'm GLAD I chose the Surface Pro over the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S. I had several classes that ran software that required a "real" computer. All of my classmates who bought iPad Pros had to borrow a computer, buy one, or use the computer lab to get their work done. I was able to do ALL of my work, from ALL of my classes, on my Surface Pro. I'll never waste money on an iPad Pro.
You go where the software you need is.. and right now Windows 11 has much more software even if it's not optimized for touch.
surface pro 11 without question. you just get so much more for your money with the SP11. I'm not saying the ipad pro M4 is not an amazing machine. I would just go with the OLED SP11 with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD for $2,099.00 ALL DAY. You get a full windows operating system and still can use as a tablet. If mac has macOS for ipad it would be a different story, but it currently does not so ya...
Team Surface Pro 11, with Recall turned off. Full desktop apps and a free pen.
The M4 Ipad is nice for simple things due to its legendary single core performance.
He's soooo handsome ❤
If you have to live with one, get Surface Pro. If you are looking for a tablet, get the cheapest ipad. Surface Pro as a table is unusable.
super Cristal clear video.
A full PC will always be superior to a limited product any day of the week.
The iPad is a tablet that wants to be a laptop but isn't yet.
There's no reason besides MONEY to not be able to run Mac OS even as a custom version for touchscreens. Big power but if you really want a laptop tablet all in one the surface is superior in that.
Well you are referring to the previous iterations of the surface pro when you say it's not a good tablet. You can't possibly know whether the upcoming one is good or not. For all we know, it can come damn close to the iPad as a tablet.
Surface Pro Snapdragon X Elite ❤❤
Surface is like for the elite
NPU-wise, I believe the Surface Pro is better than the iPad pro.
Surface pro!! ❤
IF (Non-Creative Professional, Student) THEN Surface Pro ELSE IF (Creative,Entertainment, Kid, Senior Citizen, Intellectually Disabled) THEN Ipad
Well, Blender can't run on an ipad unfortunately. I won't even mention Houdini
@@Unrealqueste lol should i change creative to weekend creative?
iPad for the win !
this dude channel boutta blow up
❤
There’s no contest. The iPad has a better but nerfed hardware. iPadOs is crap. So far I’ll be taking the surface pro.
You forgot to mention that the M4 iPad had a thunderbolt port, it’s not just USB-C
iPads iOS is trash so there’s no comparison. It doesn’t matter how powerful the internal components are the iOS will always be the bottleneck.
This wasn't a great video. Too many of you guys always run to give us your opinions on things while leaving out most of the details.
Dude literally showed a geekbench score that means absolutely nothing because geekbench quietly updated their testing module months ago to be more optimized for Apple processors but not 3rd party ones. This channel did zero research.
you’re not done with research yourself. The Apple processors were the last ones to get those optimizations. Other architectures had them previously.
Apple, plz listen to these people and either give an option to have macos on ipad(at user’s choice) or give pen-touch funationality to Mac. And they may not because they need to sell both.
