  • Fiona Reid talks about giving advice to young actors on the Harry Potter production. Reid also talks about working with director Neil Munro and how he always told Fiona to “not to achieve the character.” Reid discusses working with Brad Hodder, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Toronto production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.     Actor Fiona Reid is an English-born Canadian television, film and stage actress. She appeared as Cathy on the TV series King of Kensington as well as playing Harriet Miller in the films My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 & 2. On the stage, Reid has performed in various theatres across Canada, including Stratford Festival, the Shaw Festival, Tarragon Theatre, National Arts Centre, Canadian Stage and Arts Club Theatre. Reid is the recipient of two Dora Mavor Moore awards (1993 & 1995), the ACTRA Award of Excellence (2010), Order of Canada (2007), the Toronto Life Women of Distinction Award (2006), the Barbara Hamilton Memorial Award (2008) and the Toronto Critics Award (2015). Recent credits include starring as Queen Elizabeth II in the 2016 Mirvish Productions presentation of The Audience at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto as well as starring in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway in 2019-2020. She is a graduate of McGill University and the Banff Centre for the Arts and was a past president of the Actor’s Fund of Canada (The AFC).
