PIERRE REAFFIRMS HIS COMMITMENT TO SOUFRIERE FISHERMEN

I SAID WHAT I SAID! [4TH JULY 2024] - Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has doubled down on his commitment to assisting fisherfolk in Soufriere whose livelihoods were affected by the passage of Hurricane Beryl. The Prime Minister had previously made comments on a now deleted live stream proposing the handing out of cheques to the affected, a move cited by the UWP as bribery. At Thursday's pre-Cabinet press briefing, Prime Minister Pierre was adamant that he will not retract those statements and remains steadfast in his effort to support the victims.
