Kawsaypac short film highlights what the life journey is like for a kid of immigrants, a hyphenated human and what figuring out your identity can be like as a Latine individual. This story follows fashion designer, Vanessa Acosta's life. She is a Bolivian-American who grew up in the US with an almost non-existent Bolivian community and always felt lost between two worlds. It ventures into her familial Indigenous history and generational trauma. It's an ever evolving journey of finding one's self and understanding the complexities of life.

Y si, nunca estamos solos y abandonados, somos nuestros taytas y maymas, somos nuestros ancestros. Somos los el viento frío de los Andes así como somos las rocas de los Andes.
Saludo grande de un Peruano hermano que inmigró de niño a Escandinavia y también reconoce tu esfuerzo y tu camino. 💪🏽❤️‍🔥🤜🏽

This was sooo beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing a part of our culture and struggles. This really hit home, because being Bolivian American at times is a lonely journey when you are not surrounded by your community. Congratulations on spreading your beautiful story and healing. ❤

What a wonderful and artistic way to show your identity and journey. I’m not Bolivian, but this perspective of identity and culture is so relatable in all aspects as a fellow immigrant and child of immigrants.
