- I must spend about half my time in New York in the hundreds of souvenir shops dotted around the city! The ones in Chinatown tend to give you better value for money, they let you haggle a bit, and I was over the moon to stumble upon this gem. Let me show you around....
Like this.....
USA Government thank you, I really appreciate that.
I worked in one of those stores back in 2011 12 in 8th ave thank you
What’s a good shop for souvenirs where you buy a lot and get a good price? Know the spot and name. Hopefully going in November first time in NY I know Chinatown the spot
East end 323 most of the stores on Mott Street in Chinatown will give you a good deal, as will a lot of the stores on nearby Mulberry Street. Have a great trip!
Top video mate , hope your well..
Thanks man, really appreciate that. Aye I’m good thanks, hope all’s good with you too.
@@stevetaylormynewyorkcity9728 not bad thanks mate , working nights still the usual..been out and about , saving up on my travel card in dollars and that , still way off till I go nyc but will get there..thinking about doing a European football ground in a few months , weekend thing with a co worker
The City Store downtown near the courthouses has a lot of unique stuff there. I posted it on my instagram.
Would be great to watch - If it would play !
Steve Birks don’t know why it won’t play for you, I’ve just tried on two different devices and it played fine. Internet problem maybe?
I found one cheapest at 10 dollars. I love souvenirs.
Chimpangel I love souvenirs too, I spend a lot of time in these stores!
I really wanted the Central Park cup sold at The City Store but it costs 15 dollars. I haven't seen it in any other store. Join me in nydiary77 on Instagram where I post pictures of Manhattan.
Chimpangel there’s a good chance you’ll find it in Chinatown, I’d be surprised if you can’t. I don’t do Instagram but if I ever do I’ll definitely look you up and follow you, thanks for that.
Are the souvenirs cheaper in Chinatown? I was comparing the prices at different shops in Times Square for a silver king kong statue I wanted. I found cheaper than the other stores at 10 dollars.
Chimpangel it’s always worth going into lots of different stores to compare prices but yes, Chinatown is better value because they tend to let you haggle a bit on the ticket price. They usually give you a discount that you won’t get in midtown 😁
I haven't been to Chinatown in twenty years. I plan to get lots of cheap goodies there.
Chimpangel I’m sure you’ll get loads of well priced goodies! The hotel I always use these days is in Chinatown (Hotel 91, featured in one of my vlogs) and I save a small fortune in the souvenir stores around there compared to midtown. My suitcase is always over heavy when I leave ha ha!
I want to get the twin towers and freedom tower statues. Maybe st Patrick's cathedral too.
Chimpangel sorry for not replying sooner, I’ve just received notification of this comment! Yes all of those buildings are readily available in the souvenir stores around Chinatown, I have a good collection now.
open a store in London stock it with NYC merchandise on a winner 3dollars for a lighter 40$ a sweatshirt... conversion rate hmm don't know NYC stuff sells
kevin murray ha that’s maybe not a bad idea mate! You honestly wouldn’t believe the amount of these stores in NYC, they’re everywhere, and I can’t keep out of them!
Haha thought the guy had bought a trolley full they were that much of a pargain ? Haha!
Steve Birks yeah I see what you mean, looks like he’s walking out with loads of stuff at the start of the video! Ha ha!
Hello there - I got to see your visit today ! - Don't know why it wouldnt work last time ?
This is a great gift store - Those price's are very reasonable - And to say that its in New York City too ! - Thankyou for sharing
All the very best !
Steve Birks yeah this is a good gift shop, there’s a few of them like this along Mott Street, really good value compared to midtown. Thanks for watching, really appreciate it!
Steve Birks all the very best to you too!
