I had to put this on 1.5x speed because this attorney’s opening statements were extremely slow and drawn out. This was absolutely ridiculous to listen to. I honestly only stayed long enough to write this post.
This video should have been 10 minutes not 30. I feel so bad for this jury who is enduring this torture watching her facial expressions and horrible acting. This would have made me crazy enough to request to be excused for an xyz excuse. 😫

There is nothing for the defence to work with so she's had to turn to a dramatic description of his reaction when he "found" his wife dead. It is so disrespectful and gaslighting of the memory of this lady. I understand it has to be done but I could never work to defend in a case like this. I would always worry that I would be paid back in some way; that something terrible would happen to me and I wouldn't be believed. Good job I'm not a lawyer.
This lady also unfortunately has an annoying tone; I guess she has to talk slowly and dramatically though to try and spin out the "evidence" in his favour, as there pretty much isn't any. To be fair to her she has a pretty impossible task and I would imagine the jury have already made up their minds.
