What is going on!? I just came across these videos of Kelly Clarkson just singing song, after song, after song. She didn’t just sing these songs, she reinterpreted and completely transformed them. I’ve never seen this before. Plus the voice. The voice is impeccable. This isn’t normal. How is someone this talented?
I’m 5 months later than you! I knew she did this but just started watching and i can’t bring myself to watch anything else. I forgot how amazing she is.
I know!! Kelly is AN ALIEN. This bitch is so damn talented z and she doesn’t get the credit she deserves.. I watched the first American Idol, and of course, there’s Kelly, and I loved her.. then she did Natural woman, and it was over, I’ve been a fan ever since, literally before she was anyone, so I get protective over her lmao
me. And I don’t think I’ve ever been so blessed.. okay that’s a bit much, but still blessed none the less.

When Christina sang it, it's like a very soothing enjoyable ballad. When Kelly sings it, it makes me pay attention to the lyrics, and realise it's actually heart break song. Her emoting is just God-like. And I feel the sadness of the lyrics.

If I remember, this was done soon after news of her divorce was made public, so the emotion is definitely genuine in this. Having a marriage fall apart is probably one of the hardest things to go through. Beautiful vocal.
I love Kelly’s voice and I think most people love how she covers these songs. Honestly, I think she needs to pick different songs for her albums. She blows these type of songs out of the water.

I never knew about American Idol mainly cuz I never could stand some of what the judges call “talent” but when Princess Dairies 2 Royal Engagement came out I first heard Kelly’s song Break Away.~ And I wanted to know who sang it so so badly. And when my sister told me she was the winner of American Idol, she told me the story of how there were three people left and once the judges heard Kelly, they were stun silence with their mouths open. Even the remained two. But Kelly still thought she had to earn it like everyone else, but when the judges expressed they were not sure that wanted to hear more for she had already won in their eyes, even the last two threw their hands up and happily let her be the winner, it is amazing how she still makes your jaw drop even after how many years American Idol has been out. She still is the GodMother of winners~

Her rendition surprises me so much, in the best way. The original lends itself perfectly to her voice and style, so the last thing I expected was a piano ballad. But damn, did she kill it! Perfect phrasing. And that high note gave me chills and tears. THIS is how you own a cover!
