Great review Morten and Tim, loved every minute of it and good music choices. As I did not get the chance to hear them, I have got to make my own version😀
Hello from sunny Costa Rica, have you reviewed or listened to Daniel Hertz M1 speakers with Maria 800? It is in a similar pricing point and both companies do everything (electronics and speakers). I have not been able to find any comparison in internet.
i think, Lyngdorf & Steinway nailed it perfectly: enjoy any music in your home. point. no more technical thoughts. no more "next better gear mania (illness)"! well done. 👍
I have been following your review of the Steinway Lyngdorf MODEL B review with great interest, as I am finally looking to get a new hifi system after having sold my beloved ATC EL 150As 3 years ago! Love your informative and critical listening sessions backed with wonderful choice of music. Well done! 👏 I do hope you get a chance to review an ATC active speaker based system such as SCM 50A, 100A or 150A. As a long term ATC user, I would like to know your findings and thoughts about the sound quality and capabilities of the ATCs.
If you want more low end you'll need a couple of boundary woofers, or you can get the Model A or C loudspeaker, but this B model is perfect for me, just perfect and the price is also perfect for what you get here.
As a Model B owner, I can say they are extremely transparent. Source production plays a big part with these speakers. A badly produced recording will not sound as engaging, although addition of a relevant voicing will improve things. However, a well produced recording sounds phenomenal and can really stir up emotions!! 🙂The phrase "it is like listening to your music for the first time" is very true.
Setting aside the price - one thing that intimidates me about speakers like this is the size/weight. How exactly would you move these around? What if you decided you wanted to move one speaker SLIGHTLY to the right or something?
Thanks for the sub! This was the best experience I have had, that hit all the right spots with my personal profile. Including everything I have heard at clients. It is delicate, yet powerful, and combines that soundstage (that feels very natural) with smoothness, clarity, insight. Only things I would like even more of is dynamic headroom, stronger low-end at high SPL, a smidge more "punch". Otherwise, a dreamspeaker, especially for those craving acoustic music.
Watching your emotional response is as entertaining as the content. Sitting with your mouth hanging open 😂. Would love to be able to hear the system. Looks like you two are thoroughly enjoying yourselves 👍. When are you gonna buy it 😵? Thanks !
Max SPL 115 @ 1 meter, seems to line up with your headroom max at your position? Is it the amp or the woofers in free air that is running out of juice? And thanks for the tracks, perfect additions to my playlist.
@Stjernholm Reviews Gecko Home Cinema in the UK has an ex-demo set of Model B for 50% off (£61.6k) if you really want them... They also have Model D at 80% off, £79k if you feel like pushing the boat out 😂 Great dealer, I got my Lyngdorf TDAi-1120 and FR-1 speakers from them.
It is locked to the digital steinway amps, remember? Digital end-to-end with DSP in the amp modules. I find that the amp on this level, for active systems like this (4 way!) do not make any serious difference.

This system is amazing. If I were to buy one we'd have nowhere to live!
The look on Tim's face is priceless

How come you didn't get the model D flagship? How do they sound?

Haha, yes the packaging is very well designed.. and you dont move speakers like this.. .you SLIDE them :-)
Of all the speakers you've reviewed on your channel what would you say is your favorite ?
BTW you've got a new subscriber, great reviews, thank you.

Yes it does. I would substract about 10dBs for the distance to the listening position (i usually use 3.5dB pr. metre).
Man that Peter Gabriel sounded GOOD!!!!
What's the song at 3:50 ? 🤔🤔🤔
Excellent review, now moving on to part 4 ! 🎵🎵🎵💪💪💪
Check the album covers in the corner. You also find the tracks on the sonic snacks playlist. Go though the link tree in description.

Thanks for the info :-). It would be not practical for my listening room/studio UNFORTUNATELY!
12:02 go, rob the bank! 😂👍
now you need you need to hook it up with GAN or OTL amp and lampizator DAC and see if there is any difference in quality vs lyngdorf amps

6:47 did you setup and use Room Perfect during this video ? Sounds good with headphones even on RUclips!! 💯🎶
Speakers made by lampizator founder where similar, but with better midrange and better tweeter. Sadly not active
Play some Muddy Waters his songs have great dynamic range. And my personal fav. Los Dandies song
vs Boressen ?
Play These Bones by the Fair Field Four!!!!
Did you?
c'est le son de vos enceinte !
His mate sounds half Aussie!
Service is problematic with that cabinet size.
What service?
Seen the Wilson Chronosonics?
Don't worry, you can't afford it anyway, so the service for you is not important
@@willowwale2000 its important for any customer, regardless of pricing. using such a device as a paperweight will be pretty annoying later on...
@@MrBazsi888 If you could've afforded it servicing would be the last thing on your mind.
