Very beautiful production. I have to admit, I was very touched with Tanaka-san's talk about collecting the stamps from each temple on a "hakui" (or "hakue") to give to his mother to wear at the time she passes to the next world. Marvelous production and a great window into Shikoku!
one may wonder on the path of life, there is magic here that follows your footpaths as you breath the simple life that you wonder why are we here. I think the silence of this journey that one searches leads you to understand that life is full of smiles

I have not completed this pilgrimage so my knowledge may be limited, but there are helpful groups on Facebook about the pilgrimage and books written by some locals in English that were extremely useful. Hello! Thank you for your comment. Sadly, I did not in this video, I went to the first 6 temples with a group tour. I also visited Yashima temple quiet often because I lived at the foot of the mountain and sometimes, I would travel by car to the other temples. I hope that you will be able to do it soon. It definitely is beautiful and such a unique experience.
