I’ve been maining cowl all season in pve and pvp
Pve
Heavy knife with rays, ez ignitions and sometimes double, db and overload rocket if need be
Pvp
Cryosthesia, heavy knife, tempo/swash point of the stag. Less than an hour ago I hit a 5-piece in banner chaining 1-taps with swash. Enough said.

is assassins cowl better on solar than arc then? im a player who doesnt really want to just punch things

I mean they both work very well. Putting out an arc cowl video soon so maybe you can watch that for more insight, but solar cowl lets you have some flexibility with weapons, while arc cowl is a bit more set in the way of one two punch shotgun and tractor cannon

restoration extended time doesn't seem to work consistently, is there a way to make sure resto is constantly going?

no cooldown. just need to keep getting kills with solar abilities/weapons. super simple, no cooldowns to juggle

chestpiece is moonfang x7 rig from prophecy dungeon final boss

if it suffers in high tier content its not a good build . . . its just a build

I don’t think you listened. It excels in content like raids, dungeons, etc.. but starts to suffer when there’s a lot of shields and enemies that are too tanky for the knives: like master and grandmaster content.
A build can be good and still have weaknesses. For example, there’s a new nighthawk build that is really good in GMs because enemies have enough health to proc radiant, but it suffers in lower tier content because there are no enemies that have enough health to get the precision hits required to get radiant. Just because a build doesn’t work well in one subset of content does not mean its weak. Just means you’re using the tool in the wrong place, like if you tried to use a fork for soup
