Ihave an RZX myself and I have to say that thisis the best all in one unit ever built. It might need a PC to get the best out of it and the layers takes it over the top just like the Denon. I love mine, had it for the last 2 years now. I have been DJing since the 70's. I still have my turntables connected to mine. It maybe a beast but you do get all 4 channels to use not limited to 2 channels.
I find the FX on the RZX is way superior than the Prime4 however, Pioneer failed to capitalize, the RXZ should have migrated to a complete standalone SYS with WIFI, LIGHTING and multi output capability.
My main ? on this... Do you still need a computer for this to work or can u plug and play a USB on this unit? Love the 3 screens 1 set back from the ddj xz. Debating on purchasing 1 off these 2 units but its really and truly a coin flip. Fill me in. Gr8 vid Bro.
yep it requires a computer and does not play from usb. All their usb playing stand alone devices are weak, they stall out sometimes during performance. Computers have way more power. The XZ is a joke IMO having the same processor for 2 decks as the older XDJ units. I would use a computer
@@audiomonster303 found out also that you can't replace the cross-faders on the XZ also or at least an easy way to do it. Aiming more towards the unit u did the review on here. 🍻
@@mikey301000 make sure you get a powerful computer, when I used an older i7 it had pitch fader lag, with a 16 core desktop it was instant no lag on anything super fast and epic
@@audiomonster303 I disagree been using mine with a 2011 macbook pro since release the lag issues where software updates never updated past 5.8.6 because after that the lag issue started mines as smooth as butter feel no difference to a full nexus setup
If you add a ddj xp1 or 2 you have all the effects rekordbox has to offer especialy now they added the helix and pingpong. Only the for the rmx effects you have to pay.
You don't need to a DDJ xp1 or xp2 to have those effects you can custom assign them to anywhere you want on the rzx. I didn't know you had to pay for the new ones though
bro u cant compare standalone with only usb unit. i loved the rzx but the xz can play form pc and usb at the same time plus the xz can be hocked with serato (which i hate ) rekordbox and virtual dj. while the rzx only works with rekordbox and virtual dj. plus no one will ever use more than 2 effects at the time.
Hi, Iv recently bought one of these and Iv connected my turntables to is as I still spin 12” records, however I use OBS to stream and can’t for the life of me get OBS to detect audio from my turntables. Please please please can someone help.
Has anyone or @audio monster repaired the play buttons? I put 1300 hours on mine in the last 8 months doing marathon twitch sets so I suspect it needs to be replaced. Can't find any resources online though about doing so.
@@audiomonster303 thanks for the part link. Now ill just have to find a repair and disassembly video. I wonder if that link you sent is just the cosmetic button or the actual internals needed to repair the switch being broken by repeated hits.
Too big, too heavy to STILL need a computer. For the mobile guy this is the equivalent of that dude with lifted 4x4 truck. Overcompensating ar its finest. I think this was one of Pioneers biggest fails.

Please sub this channel I will be doing more videos on it!
Can you use the beat fx from external sources?
Traktor s8

If they would've made a Serato version of this controller it would be badass.
Pretty true but atleast it can be used with traktor and traktor is as close as you could get to Serato + Virtual DJ merged together
This still looks better than the newer FLX10 too.
true, it looks more premium
Like a ddj1000 with screens?

It’s my dream controller too, but I can’t afford it 🥺
Me either, my goal is the RX3

to each his own!
the RX2 IMO is the perfect pioneer standalone. the XZ is cool but it's not that much better than an RX2 in standalone, so I don't see the point.
I've had an rx2 and I did not like the Q buttons and the jog wheels are too small

I would if I could but I live paycheck to paycheck. Much love
