It must be such a great (and a little bizarre) feeling watching (and participating in) a model making series about a ship you designed.

I love watching this build, and the little fact sessions with Stephen are so interesting. A lot of little known facts and traditions are great. Thanks too both of you. Looking forward to more of this build and more interesting facts.

Another little hint. To prevent paint bleed under a mask, spray a light coat of clear, (doesn’t matter if gloss, satin or flat) to seal the paint edge. Just need to spray along the mask edge. One pass should do it.

    Hi Jason,
I found Stephen's commentary regarding the egg-based paint fascinating.
I wonder what happens to the "good luck" coins that are laid on the keel when a ship is later broke up for scrap.
Your ship is coming along great!
I trust your trip went well. 👍

I read an article about the original Cunard red paint in the late 1880's describing the paint was actually mixed with butter milk and this reacted with the heat turning the red pigment in the paint a "brave" orange.

hello Jason, I have a question if bought this model as well but I Was impressed by the paintwork nicely done!!. but my question is what kind of airbrush set do you have can you maybe reply with the specs? I want to buy the same one. my other question is can you use the paint that you described in the previous on the airbrush system?
I am looking forward to see a reaction from you.

Hi Yankee, it does not really matter what airbrush you use, you will want a 0.4 needle for large areas. see my video on buying your first airbrush that will help ruclips.net/video/EpQkjYMGnZI/видео.html all paint systems will go through an airbrush if correctly thinned thats the bit that takes some practice to get right.

Missed the painting of the light grey waterline… is it a decal?
