What Bill is referring to was the number that watched his 7pm/10pm/1am show CST. He was getting between 4 to 6 million nightly which is unheard of for a Cable show.
Cuomo is a solid guy. He is what the radical left should aspire to be like.

for sure! i’m fairly left leaning but I have plenty of people in my life who I love and respect that are also conservative. Sure we have debates but we both know it’s all in respect. We also know the rich elites in both parties are the main reason everyone is so divided. I think as long as you remain respectful and while you may not change someone’s mind it’s fine lmao extremism on both sides is a fringe minority. Most people I like to think can be rational!

My politics are closer to O'Reilly's. But I have to admit Cuomo owned O'Reilly in this exchange. O'Reilly's ego is ruining his credibility in exchanges like this. If you told me 4 years ago that Cuomo and O'Reilly would conversate and Cuomo would own O'Reilly I wouldn't have believed it. But I just got done watching it now.

I am a staunch conservative with an open mind and heart. I have always liked your viewpoints, Chris, as well as Tuckers. I do not support the “Us vs Them” mentality. Both sides have a point and you are so correct that the current cultural patterns aren’t working. I thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Tucker. It was very enlightening. O, Reilly is still bitter about being released from fox on harassment charges, so he wants to portray himself as still the main one viewers wanted, Tucker presented an opposite view to many of Reillys viewpoints, such as O, Reilly in his book killing Kennedy, believes only Oswald acted alone, whereas Tucker shows the narrative that there might have been more than one shooter, personally on most views , I agree with Tuckers narrative, more than O, Reillys.

WOW..I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Carlson/ Cuomo conversation... and yes Bill it was a conversation!! You should try having one of those sometime. You might learn something about your fellow man and maye even enjoy it. You'll have to learn how to listen though. You'll have to dig to uncover your humanity. Attempting to find our shared values, it reqires a certain respect and suspension of judgment for people. You seem to have lost that ability but it can be revived IF you focus on it. One thing I've learned is that those who boast and rip others apart are usually the most insecure. Cuomo, your genuine conversation with Tucker was so refreshing and inspiring. I wasn't a fan of yours in the past but you are showing a different side of yourself and earning my attention. Please keep having open, honest, respectful conversations with intelligent people about topics that matter. These are such dark times. We need more of these enlightening interactions to help wake people up. 🙏

I’m a Tucker fan for the record. If you would have told me one week ago that my respect for Cuomo was about to go up a good amount and my respect for O’Reilly (which really already want that high) was going to nose dive, I wouldn’t have believed you,but here we are. Cuomo is right, as is Tucker, when you have a conversation with someone you think you don’t like you can at times find more common ground than you thought.

O'Reilly, talking truth matters, as you do, but hearing opposing opinions matter. The debate is what actually brings the truth out. It then enforces your beliefs or makes you question them.

News nation was only showing 2013 to 2015 ratings. If you look at the 2017 ratings Bill O'Reilly is correct he did average more viewers than Tucker Carlson. In his last full quarter on air - O'Reilly averaged more than 4 million viewers, and for the overall 16-17 it was around 3.7m.
Didn’t Carlson take that time slot after Megyn Kelly left? It’s disingenuous for Bill O to compare the ratings as if there was no time in-between.

I’ve never been much of a Chris Cuomo fan but I love the guy now. It’s so awesome to see you hanging out with the likes of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owen’s, PBD, and his associates. The man that Chris truly is seems to be a great likable guy. With CNN and the obligations of keeping an employer happy Chris wasn’t as likable. I don’t think he’s flaky or two faced it’s just what happens when you’re in a group and the mentality is “Us vs. them.” I got mad love for you Chris. There hasn’t been some substantial change in politics or belief but politely listening and conversing in a positive way is productive for our nation. Chris is more likable than ever. Cheers to the success that is coming that you may think you can’t achieve. The best days are yet to come.

O'Reilly may have seeded Carlson, however, it was John Stewart's audience left homeless and Trevor Noah who found Carlson. Stewarts return to DS; with his "this is freedom" nonsense, Stewart is toast. I appreciate these segments.
You can spin the math any way you want. When O’Reilly started, he probably had far less than 1 million viewers watching per night. Fox News was a NEW news network at the time. He built that thing up over the years to reach 4,000,000+ viewers per night. Then, when he left, Tucker had it made. He didn’t have to build anything up. It was already built. So, even if he had 2,000,000 less per night, he could have averaged a higher viewership in the short time he was there. Cuomo made an unfair comparison. A fair comparison would’ve been to take the five last years that O’Reilly was there and compare that to the five years that Tucker had the show (if that’s how long he had it). O’Reilly wins that by well over one million viewers per night, maybe two million.

Couldn't disagree more with O'Reilly. The world needs more of this type of interaction. I'm not a fan of Cuomo--not by a long shot--but I give him all the credit in the world for initiating this sit-down with Carlson. O'Reilly sounds bitter, and I am surprised he didn't see the breakthrough that the Cuomo-Carlson confab presented for the wide world of American media. O'Reilly was super sour grapes about the whole thing, and he seemed rather petty about the whole thing. I'm frankly disappointed in Bill, truly!

I think the divide is largely a generational thing.
Bill is a perfect case example.
As the boomers and Gen X die out more and more, I'm hopeful America will experience much more respect towards the contributions of both conservative and progressive policies alike.
The filter being which side's approach provides the best case for America as a whole.
Sometimes that could be more progressive, like Women's rights, and other times more conservative, like tackling crime and homelessness.
*In order to form a more perfect union...*
