It's infuriating as a fan. As soon as you hand out a little trust to the team they come back with the same crap every year.
The Celtics do this thing where the second they start winning, they legit stop playing.....they start letting people shoot open 3s or they get frustrated when theyre down by 5 points and start fouling and giving up free throws.
To be fair they killed Heat game 1. In game 2 the only difference was Miami making 23 3s which is pretty much their best in franchise history... it took a historic shooting night to win by 10 lol they arent going to shoot like that every game
@@BrayZap They got wide open threes because of their adjustments and Celtics lack thereof. The number of uncontested threes is a direct result of that. It is a series ofc and Celtics SHOULD win. That being said, the Celtics find themselves in this predicament every year. The fact the Heat had a historic shooting night without two of their best players shows chemistry, trust, and the ability to run an offense efficiently. Let's at least acknowledge that.

The defense, the effort and the lack of in game adjustments was the reason they lost. Porzingis needs to play better but lets not pretend the whole team weren't lethargic sloths - especially in their close outs, fighting through screens and injecting some pace and player movement in the offense. They took the energy they had from the last quarter in Game 1 and played with the same energy.

Three starting players let down the team. Holiday, white and Pozingis. As a starter, you should be able to match up or do better against your opponent. They stats were absolutely ridiculous and not even half of the opponent. If I was the coach I would have let Pozingis a little more free .

Tatum doesn’t have that “it” factor. He’s a subpar 2nd option but tryna be 1st option. He can’t fill that role, he needs to install his will on the game but he can’t. You might see it here and there but not on consistent basis. This is the game where he needed to do that on both sides, send a message but he’s too passive like KD
To be fair, Tatum was never supposed to be the #1 option. It was Kyrie's team. Then Marcus Smart's team mixed with Tatum/Brown. Now it's just Tatum. However, he's not aggressive enough on the court. Tim Duncan was quiet, but he dominated the ball. If Tatum doesn't become consistent . . . I don't know what's going to happen.
