I don't think I have ever had a Mandala bonus bundle cake. Many years ago (at least 7), I knitted a blanket using the mandala in the color Gnome. I held the yarn double and just did a simple garter stitch. The little boys love that blanket. Such fun bright colors. If your kids are like mine, I think your daughter would love the two original colors you picked out together. They may not be what we as adults think goes together but for a child all those colors would be awesome! Very Lisa Frank. You should do it and call it your Lisa Frank blanket. 😁🧶
I haven't done that blanket but in my experience the Mandala cakes go together better than you could imagine, especially if you are alternating them. They seem really talented at coordinating colors.
Oh those bundles are so beautiful! You do so well at putting colors together I'm sure it will be beautiful. I have a bundle that is waiting for me to decide what to make with it. And it will be my first try at Mandala.

I think the race is a very beautiful it would be a really amazing Shaw but yeah I know I don't think it goes with the towels so much but it is gorgeous. And maybe it would go with it because it's just so different it might look amazing together ? Gollum is amazing I think Golem and Taos would go beautifully together! The mandala chewy colorway is amazing! I've never even seen a picture of that colorway! Cyclops is a gorgeous neutral explanation point! I love those mandala bonus bundles and you got some great colors. I think about 8ish is a good deal on those too, but sometimes I think I'm living in 2015 or something when everything was cheaper and I still expect prices to be at those levels. :)

I personally would not put those 2 colorways together but then again it may turn out so pretty if you do! I tend to want my colors to be matchy matchy 😂 but that leaves me inside of a box sorta speak. 😂 You do so well with matching colors and it will prob look beautiful if you try it hun. Oh thank you so much!! Nope, they aren’t discontinued. They used to sell them at Joann, but Joann clearanced them and stopped carrying them. I noticed they were still on Lion Brand’s website and finally came back in stock! Golem and Chewy are back out of stock, but the rest were there last night!

I have not done a hooked on sunshine blanket with Mandela. But I have found that when it calls for 1000 yards you need 1000 yards of DK weight. On a color note, all those colors individually are beautiful, but I don’t think they go together.

If you were ok with color control, you could break them down and mix parts of Wraith that work with it and keep the extra colors as scraps?? The blues and green might play well with the pinks/purples.

I LOVE LB yarns, and the bundle cakes. But my budget doesn't. It's like: do I splurge and get something I want... or do I save for something I need? Ughhh... decisions, decisions... LOL
I would put the two together. I’ve made a few with regular mandalas and used 12-13 in the process of making one with bonus bundles I will probably need 4 maybe 5 based on the size now and what size I want it.

Hooked on Sunshine is a designer. She makes kind of mandala style blankets. Along the lines of Sophie’s Universe.
