This is hands down the best racing game ever created. I was so obssessed with it as a kid, I beat the whole story mode which, anybody who's played it would know it's by no means an easy task, beat all cups (including the one you unlock after beating them all on expert) and made a machine focused purely on max sped (basically ignoring steering and acceleration) that could easily go over 2000 km/h with a good straight line. Fucking great times. I wish they made a game like this today. Or at least that I could get my hands on a copy.

It's kind of like Dark Souls. You really have to get a feel for it. The Story Missions *are* insanely difficult, but the Grand Prix on all difficulties is reasonable. I love this game, too.
Nintendo spews out an infinite amount of Mario games, yet Miyamoto manages to say something like "I thought everyone was tired of this franchise". Hope he isnt becoming senile :p
Well he can ask the fans what we want for the game, I just want a great multiplayer, local and online, one with at least 16 players running and the comeback of Death race, I don't need a story, is a racing game, it doesn't need a huge background just new tracks, new music, I don't need new racers there's lots of them already that's what I need and what I think everyone wants, and I'm sure he knows but the franchise isn't popular enough for Nintendo I suppose, they don't love us anymore lol :(
it also needs map creation tool. I'm pretty sure the game would sell enough to get even. I would buy any console with f zero on it, just to get that one game : /

I'd say super mario brothers the lost levels is more difficult in the sense that you can't change difficulties for the game. But they're two entirely different types of games. someone might find platformers easy but racer's difficult. and another will find racers easy and platformers difficult. So there's really no way of saying which is harder.

You can choose whether ur car has more acceleration so if u hit a corner for example u accelerate quicker or whether you want more speed in sacrifice of acceleration.
Acceleration makes you recover more quickly from bashes and crashes. Max speed increases your max speed (???????) But your speed can get punished hard if you crash.
