Your sense of "feeling" makes total sense. That's part of the fun of driving your vehicles and the sense of instant gratification. So yeah....makes complete sense and, for me, you're not the only one.
Absolutely! You can 100% get the feel for your rigs. You know what it can and can't do before you even put tires on it,but that don't stop me from trying and sometimes what seems impossible the damn thing pulls it off and then you question life🤣🤣
Diggin' the. Truck. It looks great!! "Feeling the truck" I totally get it. You just get the sense of what the truck wants to its almost like feedback through the radio. Then you make that one place, that's is super hard, And you slow crawl it..... The feeling of accomplishment is amazing!!
Having wheeled 1:1 Jeeps in the 70's and 80's I defiantly get the feel and rush when I crawl with the RC trucks, plus the repair cost is minuscule compared to the real thing! Great video.
I’ve gotten a lot better at paying close attention to where I’m going & seeing where my wheels are at & need to be. Being patient also plays a big part for sure.
I agree. There is more of a connection between you and the car than people think. You would think there is a greater disconnect because you’re remotely driving it but that’s not the case. It’s all about feeling
Yep, I totally “feel” it too. I wonder if it partially comes from my full size Jeep wheeling experience? Great video and awesome trail, thanks Logan!👍✌️
That sense of feel is very accurate, at least for me having wheeled 1:1 scale. But man have I learned alot from watching your videos and taking that info you give and putting it into the terrain I crawl in. Always love watching your videos Logan 🤙
I agree on feeling it. It’s like you can smell something and imagine the taste if that makes sense 😂 even if it’s windex. I’m a 100% with you on that. I get down to a pebble an 1/8” in size and hook one lug and pull the line at times. Also the 2in1 foc allows all the drive line slop to settle foam tire rubber oil in the shocks link slop etc to settle down and make your rig drive at least 20% better.
Im loving my 10.2 interceptor chassis build with vanquish f9 straight axles and vanquish 3 gear transmission kit with vanquish kmc tank 1.9 with bfg krawlers with the "hardline bed" as well as the " X Mount" with the rock sliders and battery tray, as well as front servo tray. So everything they make as well as the new chassis braces and im ordering the new roof rack for my 10.2 interceptor and my capra 4ws "WDW" knock off lol thanks Logan for the inspiration on my capra 💯🤘🐐
Another great video Logan. Love the truck. I get a "seat of the pants" feel when on techical stuff with my rc crawlers, similar to when I had my 1/1 crawler. Its pretty damn cool really.😁
absolutly understand what you are talking about when you feel the truck! plus with all your experiance it doesnt suprise me to hear that you can feel whats going on!
She struggled a couple of times but those were some tough lines! Still, great looking rig and looking forward to seeing more of her! Thanks for another great video! 👍
Great video, my friend! I really liked your commentary on this one-seems like you’re getting more and more comfortable talking to yourself; I totally get that mentality 😅 currently sick as hell, so thank you for providing some distraction from my misery lol
Building one of these right now. A similar build with F10 portals but an older school scx10 tranny and dig unit ala Vanguish. Went with a big HH Revolver Classic V3 - 1950KV and a Castle Sidewinder. She's a bit heavier than what i see others running but should have plenty of low end with that big revolver. Almost done, just waiting on front end links. Anyway, nice video... Thanks!
I just got this full chassis build with the bed peace for the power wagon boat sides servo mount spacers etc. looking forward to it. Choose the scx10ii build
Logan you're a cook Just kidding only a partial cook I agree on how you drive the truck for me I think it's mostly about what I see you can kind of tell what the truck is doing or what it wants to do.
I think it’s a VFD thing. Have only seen a couple rigs that didn’t click. Doesn’t seem to effect how they run though. VFD twin seems to do it even worse
Awesome work on this man. I do get the "feel" of what my rigs are doing. Typically its people who have wheeled in a real rig who get that because they know what it physically feels like to have a wheel drop off, bump over, get bound up, or have the nose fall off a rock, etc. What bumper are you running on that rig? I'd like to have a shorty on mine plus I run a belly dragger and I'm looking for a good set of skids for it instead.
Thats the same Drive Train as what I've shoe horned into a gspeed chassis. Good to see it goes well in a flat rail chassis. I'm planning on gifting it to my Dad for Christmas so hes got something a bit more capable than his scaler to drive.
Man that’s a nice truck. Was that the one that was at Proline By The Fire? I need those rails but I have a custom Element Ecto chassis with Rock Pirates bed & shock towers & sliders with a Proline 66 Chevy cab, Reefs servo & Hobbywings brushless motor, but the Ecto has the rear links on the suspension so I think you can use them but have to modify something? Not quite sure. But I’d love to transfer those rails to it if doable. Pretty sure you know the answer/ solution to the issue if there is one. Thanks.
Absolutely understand the FEELING comes from 1/1 size crawling/off-roading. Also side note could you do a video how you use the GT5 efficiently with the winch? Heard it isn’t as smooth of a process as the DX5 rugged
This truck makes me want to buy another Phoenix. I like my first one stock but this is a great build. Also wish I could get some Deez bands without social media. I’m not on it but would love to order some.
@@westdesertwheeler Really? I come from Big Wall Climbing and we put a leash on Everything. But then, We're on a 'leash' also. That may be why I love your Videos so much. You get some Great Exposure.
Bad ass man! What is your camera setup? Are you one hand driving and filming with the other or is it mounted on your remote and always pointing at the truck?
FAIF products are engeeniering at their finest. It's a pity that the shipping is so expensive nowadays. But they are a high standard products for sure. You must try before make that opinion Logan.
No, they are not machined well. There is an angle portion needed to contour to the portal box and they are stepped which allows dirt and sand to freely get into the portal gears. I would not buy or recommend them.
Thats such an amazing area to play in! 🐐🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎😎🐐 and i live in Nevada im part of carson city "Prison Hill Gang" and our local spot is lot like this,we have such amazing people in our group, and the terrain is always on point! A lot of our crew makes regular trips to a place called "MOON ROCKS" 🌙 🪨 there's a lot of video's on our Facebook page and on RUclips. It killer! Thanks for the epic trail🤘
Everything and I mean every single product on Spec RC has been sold out for months. Are they even producing product anymore or am I missing the very small batches they put out?

I'm not going to lie I clinched up on that ledge nice driving sweet rig.👍💯
Nice driving, sure wish I had a place like this to go to. Appreciate your sharing
Absolutely on the sense of feeling what your car is doing I feel you there
I’ve gotten a lot better at paying close attention to where I’m going & seeing where my wheels are at & need to be. Being patient also plays a big part for sure.
I have the faif brass portal covers. Haven’t had a problem with them at all. Fit great
Yea I wonder why he feels like that. I run them too bo problems
Just put some on my build and love it so far fit was great and I'm able to run lines I couldn't before.
I agree. There is more of a connection between you and the car than people think. You would think there is a greater disconnect because you’re remotely driving it but that’s not the case. It’s all about feeling

I can't wait to build an interceptor. I ordered everything yesterday.

Great video. I know there's no way I could ever crawl with you cause I'm freaked out with heights. Lol What are running for motor and esc in that rig?
Makes perfect since I’ve learned a lot from your channel. I just wished I had some rocks like that in my Area lol
Another great video Logan. Love the truck. I get a "seat of the pants" feel when on techical stuff with my rc crawlers, similar to when I had my 1/1 crawler. Its pretty damn cool really.😁
I followed you her on RUclips, and nice crawling all the time man👍💪😃🇧🇻.

Great running video as usual

I understand feeling your crawler. I also worry about my dog getting to close to cliffs. But I'm scared of heights to. Doesn't help at our comps.

I'm still figuring out the one hand controller one hand phone. BTW you have more grip in that Beautiful red rock than I do here in Oregon

Logan you're a cook
Just kidding only a partial cook
I agree on how you drive the truck for me I think it's mostly about what I see you can kind of tell what the truck is doing or what it wants to do.
What’s that clicking coming from the truck?
Pretty sure it’s the transmission

Love the rig. But what is the clicking?
Once i get used to one of my cars its sort of like you can feel it in the controller when its about to roll.
that clicking in your drivetrain is driving me nuts

Hi Logan, what motor/esc are you running? I have a very similar build.
This truck is a Hobbywing axe 2100kv
Thank you 🙌🏼
Absolutely understand the FEELING comes from 1/1 size crawling/off-roading.

Just use channel 4 the 3 position switch. Set end points for speed

OH YEAH 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤙🏼
Which foams are you running in this video?
That's a serious climb
Can i use this chasis on my trx4 portals and what not?
Looking sharp 👌 😎 👍
Sorry if this is a silly question Logan. What is the benefit to running the interceptor over the stock VS4-10? Lower CG? Great vid
It is a lighter frame rail and improved shock angles with more tune ability in Shock position
@@westdesertwheeler Thanks man!
Yes, I can feel or sense the car or vehicles weight. It’s more of a feel than just all visual.
Man your steering angle is awesome, how do you get that clean 50 degrees?
I trimmed the steering bump stops on the housing and it goes crazy sharp now
@@westdesertwheeler and your tires don’t run into your shocks? That’s what happens to mine..
Awesome stuff! 👌
what about the TGH wheels, would they be heavy enough?
Sure but I’m a driver for Spec RC
Do you ever think about clipping a leash on that back brace of your truck? Just in case.
So when it falls it pulls me with it? No thanks. I’ll just buy another RC

I hold the GoPro in my right hand and drive one handed. There’s a few shadows you can see it in the video
@@westdesertwheeler damn dude, that's talent! Well you do a hell of a job recording and an even better job hitting those lines haha
Logan…… Your videos make me want to spend money. I may build another interceptor this time with a Vanquish bundle.
It makes total sense. I like to get stoned n drive crawlers too
Hahaha yeah I’ve got friends that only smoke and crawl
@@westdesertwheeler Hey Look at me! I got the right answer
The commentary sucks me in every time it’s like I’m there hanging out 😂
Love your vids man!
Thank you!
You can tell his dog never hears that for real. I always seem to find the dogs that want to bite bodies and tires.
