In hands, the wind, a silent plea,
Lost love that heart sought earnestly.
Blood dissolved in aching sore,
The soul now blossoms nevermore.
Wind in palms.
Grief in eyes.
Loneliness, the fear belies.
No remedy
Can soothe the woe.
Love's traces buried 'neath the snow.
Bear the silence, the muted cries,
With silent howl, mends her soul,
Wounds filled with salt, a stinging play,
In a soul shrouded in dismay.
Despair tightens, strength does flee,
No force to reconcile, not free.
Despair constricts, strength fades away,
No power left for love to pray.
Tenderness sinks unretrieved,
Were we not once beloved, believed?
Wind in palms.
Grief in eyes.
Loneliness, the fear belies.
No remedy,
No hopeful echo,
Love's traces swept by life's harsh flow.
Pain given, pain was to be,
In emotional anarchy.
Where does all the love retreat?
Why does the light so quickly deplete?
Some groan until the break of day,
In others, all has faded away.
