Dudes likable as fuck, testament to the phrase been there & done that. Seems to be turning it around and wish Ben the best in the future. Class podcast and very informative. Nice 1 lads 👍
Glad to c you out and I hope you have the best of life 💜 take good care of yourself xxx
Mate you seem like a decent young fella. I was a very troubled female in the late 80's & 90's lost my Dad as a teenager and I grew up in violence and my whole family was fucked. Prisons and mental health, addiction and I'm so happy I've got a roof over my head and my dog and I've found peace. My partner died 3 yrs ago aged 42 and he nearly went to Broadmoor but he went somewhere else then met me and we helped each other and both never want back to jail. Choose life.
❤
Glad you were able to turn your life around. You are a success 😊❤
Very nice guy , very articulate, refreshingly decent to listen to

Take that back im sure ben said he had a podcast lol? Well ive still got new one too listen too
Great vid bro
Killing it ✅
Do you like Fall Out Boy?
Broadmoor is a HOSPITAL for people with mental health problems, it is NOT a prison! It has also not been known as a 'Asylum for the Criminally Insane' since 1948. Though often violent and a significant risk to others, not all patients are, and not all have criminal records. Please, these are importance distinctions to make to ensure people with severe mental health problems (who are themselves suffering) are not blanketed as criminals or lunatics.
Good upload, nice insight 👍
One of the best podcast conversations I’ve listened to just drills in our government issues the power of this will hopefully change the prison systems forever. It saddens me my mate pushed his best mate after a few drinks he fell in the canal and died he got an attempted murder charge. The mental health issues after that must be crazy, we are not protecting our youth we are making them suffer 😔
I could talk to Ben all day bro! Quality Podcast!
Good podcast and good guest 👍 keep up the good work 🤟
What an honest reflection upon his life’s ups and downs .... gd heart still
Can you ask for a McDonald’s yeah you can ask for anything you want But you ain’t getting shit 😂 that killed me that because it’s so fucking true 🤣
These podcast are really interesting keep them coming👌🏽
Hi..just found your pod cast ..looking forward to listening in to more 👌♥️🙏✌
Broadmoor is not a prison. It's a secure hospital.
It's a prison
Really interesting podcast again. This guy has been thru some ****, and caused a lot of ****......but what an amazing turn around. This guy is definitely an inspiration to those looking to turn their life around!! Wish Ben every success for the future 👍. Well done again Jamie....keep em coming
I really don't understand what would make you think this? you haven't met many ex MH patients have you? is my guess! he spent some time in there, probably not long & if he knew how foolish he looks as he proudly tried to put himself up with Bronson! another overated lag who cried for his peter when he realised he wasn't going to be able to intimidate people till he got back to parc
mark britton it's the latest fashion. Criminals being on a higher level is they were pwoppa nawty geezas. But, they all turned their lives surround selling merchandise, doing podcasts. Getting boring now. He talks about Shaw & McLean.
He's missed a generation & looks up to the wrong people.
"I'm famous for the Winchester roof protest' - If that's fame, he's lost 😏
@@DMWBN3 I know that & have said as much, if you consider yourself famous for a rooftop protest your as lost as this twat!
@@DMWBN3 famous my arse!!!
@@markbritton6798 famous with 41 subs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love it. Mental health is massively ignored.
It needs to be highlighted as myself apparently I’m to complex for my local mental health system. So they just shut the door in your face. You end up taking actions that aren’t acceptable to society
Love anything prison n crime stories!! This is epic!! Loving these podcasts
Do you speak from experienced interest or morbid fascination?
cos if you thibk it's all Mc Vicar & legend! and this cornucopia of crap you don't know shit
Well you wont find them stories here jez, My advice is don't believe people"s accounts of theses places cos there's a lot of B S, Bens going for the money & best of luck to him cos he's told far too many lies to fortify his own story now. Give me 30 mins with him on a podcast & see who's fannying who
@@markbritton6798 yeah saying he was winding up Robert Modsley. He should have been thanking him.
@@gillymac9363 Who's robert Mosely? just about about he said wasn't true ,i suppose he did it for money & good luck to him, for those who love because they know nothing of life in these places, there used to be a saying about short termers," Shit N a shave & theyre out! He's definetly in that group! went in for a S& A shave!
"Harrom was Hamza the hooks right hand man". *PHOTO ON SCREEN OF HAMZA HOLDING UP HIS RIGHT HOOK* HAHA 🤣🤣🤣
I use to work at Broadmoor as a Health Care Assistant and worked on Luton ward which was one of the admission wards the other was Churchill and Ben mentions about the cannibal killer I met him a couple of times. Did enjoy working at Broadmoor but left due to having a motorbike accident but have applied for jobs there recently but nothing come of them. But am working for the ambulance service now which is my dream job and love it.
Cheers jeff
I bet you didn't meet Ben in there
@@jamescarroll5028 No your right I never did meet Ben but wasn't working there when he was there so I wouldn't of met him.
I live five minutes down the road from Broadmoor in Bracknell
@You RUclipsr

Great interviewer; really gets in depth and asks good questions. I like my documentaries and interviews and this guy is on point.
Also very interesting guest.

Thats an interesting watch. I used to work on a forensic ward in a medium secure psychiatric hospital and the difference in comparisons between a medium secure and high secure are huge!
This guy says it hw it is.seems like a very smart guy hope he changes his life around nw.
I proper enjoyed this podcast. Ben is mega likeable and funny. Could listen to him for hours on end. He seems to nice to have ever been in them places. Keep up the great work J and Ben keep doing you bro. Your gonna make it to where you want for sure.

My dad used to work at rampton hospital they are called mental health hospitals but let’s have it right they are prisons.
To be detained at her majesty’s pleasure etc.
Up to them when you get out etc.

Broadmoor is a hospital not a prison.

William Giles was admitted to Broadmoor in 1885 at the age of 10 years old and he lived at the hospital for 77 years until his death in 1962

Seems a good lad turning his life around , a lot of keyboard warriors giving it large in there mums bedrooms this guy survived broadmoor u man barely survived the barbers being closed 12 months ffs 🤦♂️
Behave dosser!
“Hamza the hooks right hand man!” Missed a trick there.... surely he has to be his right hook man!? 🤷🏼♂️
😂😂
Hamza the hook's right hand man 🤣
I spent the majority of my time from 18-23 in prison.
The whole system needs changing. Banging someone up for 23 hours a day is not rehabilitation.
I went to an open prison and I was on a wing that was run like a boot camp.
Wake up early, run around the prison 4 times, have your cell inspected every morning for cleanliness, have a parade every Sunday where you have to iron your clothes in a certain way and polish your shoes etc. I then started working at a charity shop before my release.
All prisons should be like this.
I even went to the Lake District with 10 other prisoners and two guards for a week.
That's a holiday mate not jail
That's not jail 😂 u went on a hmp holiday! Try prison during lockdown. Ya get out for ya 30mins exercise wi ya own landing & out for ya meals. No visits. Calls limited to 10 mins. I'm working with a few prisoners at rhe minute one on ipp for 15 years for stealing a bike in a burglary & on 23.5hr bang up wi no visits for 2 years. The bit I agree with is the system needs sorting. It's broken. Badly.
Every man an his dog jumpin on the podcast ting !
Podcoast isn't a new thing - it' started in the 80s, and had a comeb-back when the internet came of age in 2004. Like listening to Heart FM and saying every man and his dog jumpin on the radio thing lol
Cos we dont here enough people chattin shit about what they not done on tracks
TV is dead
yeah bro
Come here from the Spotify potcast to see the photo👀
I just saw Ep 1 from Real Stories. And I’ll watch all of them. But what I immediately saw was staff keeping most patients away from each other. Working on developing the best treatment plan for them. AND that there is nothing like it here in the U.S. Dangerous prisoners and those with mental illness just get shoved into a high security unit and get very LITTLE treatment . The disappearance (Reagan) of mental institutions like Broadmore is why our homeless population is what it is and why many mentally ill people end up in jail here.
broadmoor is a high security psychiatric hospital, not a prison
This brothers just a G
you got that right , gobshite from start to finish!
Gotta have a strong heart to not chuck bricks off the roof at screws and not spark out Grade A wronguns 👌
I spent 4 years inside broadmoor worst time of my life.
but it made me stronger.
💜
Proper clueless said you done research but clearly didn't. Embarrassing
It was hot 🔥 they made a mistake lol ... spent alot of time in the blocks myself
