Some feedback for Lad Bible - many people listen to these episodes instead of watching the screen whether by disability or choice. They are very accessible to visually impaired folk and others who prefer to listen - it doesn't make much sense to me that you flash the updates in small text on the screen, it renders something so accessible into something you miss some the most context parts of as the rest of the episode can be listened to only.
Fascinating story, I can't imagine being in a room in that hotel in that situation with a loved one and hearing perpetrators break into rooms and killing them. I live in the opposite part of the country in WB and I remember watching these horrific scenes on television in disbelief. This incident really showed the lack of capacity of our defense systems, a terror plot like this could materialise at such a scale even after so many intel reports. All reports were ignored, and so many lives were lost. I went to mumbai last year, and saw the Taj Hotel for the first time, it is truly magnificent, and really is a destination!
What an inspiring bloke. They way he spoke about it in the beginning saying “we weren’t even supposed to be in India when it happened” but then went on to say “it’s just how it is, the stars just aligned” and the fact he can laugh about it shows how tough he is as a person. Considering what he’s been through he still talks about life with such gratitude. You can tell this situation has made him realise the value of life which makes dealing with the wheelchair slightly easier.
Will, thank you for sharing your story. I love that you have assembled a task team to spread the word about us disabled people. Another thank you for that. I hope you go from strength to strength and that the road ahead is long and filled with joy.

What a lovely, thoughtful, articulate and brave man who is so modest. ❤ my 16 year old daughter is non verbal and lost the ability to walk after her first seizure on Christmas day 2029. When she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome age 2 we were offered grief counselling . My husband refused and said my daughter hasn’t died. We were told we had to grieve for the daughter we thought we had and the life she would have had and come to terms with it. I completely understand everything in this brilliant video ❤

I wish you and your daughter well. But absolutely, grief isn't always about what we have lost in the literal sense, it can be about the loss of possibilities, what we dream/dreamt of. Perhaps ironically, grief/loss is as much about the future as it is about the past or present. It is often missed, so glad you were able grieve for your daughter. As painful as it is face that reality I feel it brings a kind of peace/healing and also acceptance. When we have acceptance we connect with what we have [or who...is] in front of us. Not what we wished, expected or hoped for, but what we actually have... best❤

You’re a very special person and if you have the ability to help others and contribute in some way then do it. You didn’t deserve any of what happened to you but creating awareness and education from what happened is so important. I knew of what happened, I did some reading on it and later watched the film and hearing what you’ve had to say has taught me and I’m grateful for you and what you do
I landed in Mumbai the eve of the attacks and made the mistake to ask the limo driver to bring me to the hotel. Everything seemed to function as if nothing was happening. I only realized my mistake when it was too late.
@evastapaard2462 I got out of the hotel waving down a car asking if they could bring me to a poor part of town and from there I made it to the airport where 100s of people tried to get inside, but we needed a proof of having a flight out which I didn't have like most or almost all people. I will not go into detail, but I made it inside and got a flight to Deli somehow. Gotta be creative in a situation like this. Like I said, amazing how life was still kinda going on while all this happened downtown.
@kawaiiipancakexox1420 I have always been in love with India, before and after the incident, and I would never bow to terrorists. I was impressed and grateful to this day how folks helped me.

A lot he went through but he should not be proud of how he acted in the moment… The moment he said “there’s plenty of other people down there”, that translates pretty obviously to “they’ll be too busy killing other innocent people to focus on us”. That’s cowardice, not saying I’d act differently in the situation but damn, I wouldn’t be proud of myself for that. He should be proud of how he recovered from it, not of how he acted in the moment.
that shook me too but in survival your brain only wants YOU to survive and will do anything to keep you safe so a thought while trying to not get murdered is not a thought you would normally have if that makes sense
@@actuallyapomergranate Yeah I get it - like I said I'm not saying I would have acted differently at all, it's just a wild thing to say, and then say you're proud of that mentality... I would have constant regret after the fact that I acted in self preservation knowing so many people died. He was completely powerless and almost anything he would have done, would likely not have affected the outcome. I think for me, it's just the contrast of saying "they won't get us because they're killing all the fodder downstairs" vs saying "I'm proud of how I acted in the moment"... seems to be contradictory. He's not here because he's brave or did something to be proud of, he's here because other innocent families and children got placed in a different room than he did - that's how I see it anyway
