Hi Nancy, I ordered my turtlepurl yarn and I think those columns socks look great! I also got my Wigget pattern to support your charity and get another charming pair of socks! It is so nice to see you. Thank you for explaining your sweater modifications to make it A-line on your Laia. I wish I could come to the Winter Gathering. It sounds like loads of yarny fun!❤🧶
Thanks for the company during my morning knitting with coffee. Creating a new tunic… loooove tunics 💖 Using the Peacock Tee pattern by LeKnit/Lene Holme Samsøe as an inspiration sheet…😃 That’s how I do my knitting and creating my own unique garment. Often I use two patterns in combin, with some of my own ideas in between. Really found that so rewarding in my creative process❣️ Hugs Titti from Sweden
Knitting on your test knit socks while watching! Soooo fun! I haven't cast on my lento yet!! but I'm thinking this week end will be the time to!! Yours is going to be Amaaaazing! that colour *swoon*. And you just got me thinking of the Silken linen I have left for another summer knit. So I need to dig that one out soon! Big hugs my friend and stay warm!! xo
❤❤❤loved catching up ,Nancy,,,🎉 Been so snowy here in January,,,,I am ready for a new month ,,, I purchased ur pattern for a friend yesterday,,,,and getting mine today,,,,,love the wiggett! And ur new pattern coming out soon,,,,,! Wow,,,you have been so busy ,,, Always love ur visits,,,, ❤️🏠 Elaine 🏠⛄
Thank you for my lunchtime entertainment. Great fun, as always. Love the colours on your three options of column socks, particularly the blue one. At the moment, knitting a jumper in superwash merino that was a previous yoke / seamless sweater that has stretched over the years. Pulled it back, and washed it. Found a jumper pattern that is seamed, and I am using colour work from a different pattern. Hopefully, with the seams, it will keep to size. Sx
It is always fun to follow along with you! The snow is beautiful, but it does look cold. Coming from California, I am not prepared for that lifestyle!!
Hi Nancy. I love your podcast and love your patterns. I bought this one to support you and the cause the proceeds go to. Thank you for everything you do and for being so kind and generous.
Hi Nancy, I am also an embroiderer besides knitting. It is a beautiful wolf pattern. I embroider for two hours in the morning and the rest of the day I knit on various projects. You have given me nice company there, thank you. Greetings Lily🌸
Nancy the modification semi vlog certainly helped me... I think, lol. Will let you know soon. I am blocking(steam) my Alpaca cardigan sweater pieces tomorrow 1/28/202 morning. I hung on your words like a drunken sailor, lot and wrote down your math, suggestions, differences of my back, front, arms, neck, etc. I can't wait to see how this sweater comes out Nancy. I commented on that Vlog and left you a question on a purchase I made. I was being an adventurous knitter and bought Yak with not a clue on what to do with it since I researched that it is not a yarn, but a hair. Now what? If I can't do something with it ( it is soo soft), would you like it? Yep, Shipmates I would send it to you in a heartbeat, but I bet your yarn shop has it already, lol. I just don't think this is good for socks. Your girl also bought cashmere. Nancy I don't have to hold yarn with another yarn, right. So far I have knit with one yarn and not multiple of yarns. Guess I'm nervous in doing so. Just let me get good with one yarn first. Hope your New Year is going well. Until next you podcast, take care. Ms. Jo
Hey Jo! I just saw your comment on the modification vlog. Check for the yarns on Ravelry, that will tell you what other people have knit with the yarn and the needles they used. That might be the best way to figure it out. If you got it at a yarn store, they should be able to help you with pattern suggestions. Don't be nervous! You're a bad ass and and can do anything!
Hi Nancy! I don’t know how many times I’ve wanted to start the Lento but I haven’t gotten to it yet! Maybe seeing yours will push me to start mine. Love your new sock design and I just went in and purchased it. Looking forward to the meet up in Sussex!
Saint John is the heart centre for Prince Edward Island as well, and I have both family and friends who have had life saving procedures there. Thank you for this fundraiser opportunity. I slipped over to Ravelry and made the purchase. Love your podcasts.
Loved it all! Bought the new pattern part way through watching so I wouldn't get distracted and forget. 🙃 The story of your pattern is heartwarming. The column patterns to come look like such fun! Happy Knitting 🧶
When I purchased the Wigget sock pattern, I queued it for March, but after watching this podcast, it is moved up to the next one on the needles. I love all of your patterns. Cannot wait for the breast cancer socks.
Hi there Busy Lady, lovely to catchup, with your podcast. It's lovely you are teaching classes, that so great! If you get some time, hope you can put your socks into the Sox-a-long 2025 over on Ravelry! Thanks for your support ❤❤😊
Thank you Nancy. I purchased the pattern this morning as usual from Love Crafts, hopefully you get the donation that way too. Thursday morning I will hope to be able to purchase the yarn. I will have to visit the Vyne when next in the Basingstoke area I used to visit a woolshop there when my daughter lived in Winchester. It was based in a house in a residential area but had a large selection of yarns. Love the idea of the columns in the patterns due in February. The snow looked so thick. Do your solar panels continue to work if covered in snow? 🇬🇧
I had to laugh. I paused the video near the beginning because my dog wanted to go outside. When I came back the lighting on the video was different so I was trying to figure out what had happened until you started talking about the lighting on your end, poor puppy (10 year old 60 pound spoiled baby) almost got blamed for the issue. 🤣 since he’s snoring next to me I’m going to assume all is forgiven.
I hear you about January .... it's school holidays, kids are driving me nuts and we've had such an average summer so far ... much needed rain to green the paddocks up but I'm a bit over it now 😂 I'm nearly finished on a test knit and attempting to finish a shawl this month as well but don't like my chances .... but at least school starts back in 2 days 😊
Just bought the Widget Nancy. Haven't started on the first sock I bought by I'm here to support you and my size 9 foot. Keeps my 5'4" frame upright though. Ms. Jo
Hi Nancy. Haven’t finished this podcast yet. Listening here and there as I’m on holiday. You little shocker skipping yesterday. 😊 Re the Vera episodes- disgraceful that she has quit. She’s only 78!! Moses didn’t start his main job until he was 80. I’m thinking of writing to her and telling her she needs to do another 100 episodes at least!! 😊😊😊😊😊
I just started the "Schneeflocken" sweater by Sarah Solomon. It's a stunning colourwork pattern! I am using Queensland Shetland Lite in the colour ways Fog and Oxford blue on 3.25mm needles.
Be careful making that lento, it’s so oversized, I knit the body then started to cast on a sleeve b4 admitting defeat. Too baggy, raglan too deep by 3 plus inches, giant armholes. I ripped it out. After a year of timeout, I’m ready to reknit w heavy mods. It def gives oversized sweatshirt vibes, but can also do batwings. My fault, as it knits so fast I didn’t try it on at sleeve sep. 12 inch raglan is stupidly oversized lol
Ahhh...thanks for the heads up! It is missing a schematic which is annoying! I will keep an eye on that raglan depth and modify as needed. I hope your second attempt gives you a better result!

Just purchased the Wigget pattern. Hubby had open heart surgery at the Heart Centre. The care and support he got there was amazing!
Thanks for the company during my morning knitting with coffee.

Hello from England... Love your podcasts, Nancy. Will go straight to purchase Wigget Pattern now.. Xx❤

You use the yarn from your retreat. It’s meaningful for you

That's very kind of you to say!

I hope some sanity returns with the back to school...or is it just replaced with a different kind of crazy??
Just bought the Widget Nancy. Haven't started on the first sock I bought by I'm here to support you and my size 9 foot. Keeps my 5'4" frame upright though. Ms. Jo

I’ve made those First Impressions Baby Pants and LOVE them. They are adorable and so fun.
Oh good! It's always nice to hear from someone that they enjoyed it
I just started the "Schneeflocken" sweater by Sarah Solomon. It's a stunning colourwork pattern! I am using Queensland Shetland Lite in the colour ways Fog and Oxford blue on 3.25mm needles.
I hope you are enjoying your knit! It looks like a gorgeous project. I had to go and look it up!
I thought the end of Vera was very well done. Before you get rid of Britbox, have you watched Shetland?
Yes!!! Also love Shetland even with Perez gone.
