what was your topic going to be for OB/GYN pts? i work on a women and newborn unit and Im trying to figure out what to do mine on
It was going to be on mental health during pregnancy. I feel like there’s a big gap on the way we check for mental health issues and ppd during pregnancy. Addressing mental health more often during pregnancy may prevent ppd. That was going to be my focus 😌

Yes of course!☺️ no msn wasn’t a requirement I actually got it to be able to work in management somewhere else but I love my job as a school nurse too much 🥺 can’t see myself leaving! ✨☺️
@@NurseLaly That’s my dream job, lol. The schedule is perfect, especially when you have a family. I’m debating between Capella and chamberlain but I will more likely go with chamberlain.

I started in Dec 2020 and completed in April 2023 but it could be done sooner depending on your pace.

How did you get a preceptor? Does it have to be an MSN nurse?
Hello I finished 2 weeks ago and used a virtual preceptor. You can use virtual or do in person. The preceptor has to have their msn or dnp for a year to become a preceptor.
I used someone in my place of work. They don’t have to be a nurse but need to have a masters degree. I used the school principal.

How many hours needs to be completed and is it self paced ?
It was 100 hours. It’s some what self paced but you have to get it done before the semester is done.
Is Capella University a good school?
It was ok for me I only had one bad experience towards the end but most of my experience was good.
